Lexis guide here on STEP is unsupported since 2020 and therefore not updated since. She only gives support on her Discord these days. Many mods in the guide is outdated and installation advices may not longer be correct. For DynDOLOD questions i would suggest using the DynDOLOD section of this forum. -
That advantage might be a problem with STEP mandate if it deviates from vanilla to much, as stated above by z929669. Will be a grand job to first compare the two and after that with the rest of the guide. But sure would be interesting to see.

Discussion topic: Completionist - Skyrim Completion Tracker (NG) by K1ngTr4cker Wiki Link Mod that gives you an MCM wher you can follow quests and items. Makes Skyrim feel like a more modern game. And really makes you wanna keep playing (until you are back adding more mods instead ofc). Includes all DLC and AE also have support for many known mods. (STEP includes all prerequisits for this mod and with CoMap it adds very nice fishing icons) Relates to Dear Diary mod also in testing

Been running around Dragon Bridge for 40 minutes now and have no issues with latest STEP guide build. Adding mods, that from the description seem not conflicting with STEP, does not mean it will not in reality. It is amaizing how many bad mods there is out there. :o Loot is is not enough for finding what patches you need (that is why we have the STEP Patches), it only tells you about patches reported and added to the masterlist by authors and users. I have had ctd from simple armor mods just bco a small bad edit by the author. You have to check in xEdit by yourself. Also, most patches on Nexus is only between two mods, maby you have a ctd that is caused by the combination of three or more mods? -

Mod updated at AFK Mods, version 4.1.8 Moved the call to disable the bed until after the player is moved out of the Abandoned Prison. This will prevent the skeleton and regular bed from momentarily being visible when the fake bed is activated. (Bug #32508) When choosing a property start, the ownership achievement is never given to the player as it normally would when purchasing a home the regular way. When choosing the Breezehome start, Lydia is not marriable because this is normally set when purchasing Breezehome from the steward instead of being handled normally like all the other housecarls.- 10 replies

There are now some mods out there trying to fill some "gaps" when it comes to compability issues with latest game version and some mods that might be interesting for the STEP audience. dTry Plugin Updates gives support to mods like dTrys Key Utils , Combat Music Fix, Elden Parry, Elden Counter and more... MCO Universal Support gives support for the popular Attack - MCOÍDXP Minimalistic Custom Skills Menu For AE Substitute for Custom Skills Framework Also... if you like iEquip there is a .dll for it on iEquip-discord (scroll up a bit in iEquip channel) until it is updated on Nexus.

Discussion topic: Skyrim Configuration Menu by Zzyxzz Wiki Link MCM menu to change over 170 ingame settings/values. Can be saved into 5 presets. Not for the STEP Guide but for the STEP Guide development to test things out. Useful to test how the game feels with differen settings and different mod configurations.

Mod updated on nexus Version 2.0.1 A much bigger Odin update (3.x) is in the works to cleanly separate it from Apocalypse and integrate it into Futhark as a basic magic overhaul without gimmicks. This minor update was originally part of it, but due to the impact on several compatibility patches, the changes to mind affecting Illusion spells and were fast tracked, to ensure those patches can be updated in advance. This should mean that 3.x will have no impact on those compatibility patches, or at worst a minimal impact. Illusion: All mind affecting effects are now available at both Adept and Expert level, instead of being split between them. However, the Adept version has a smaller AoE in addition to being weaker and cheaper. Illusion: Add injected keywords for rally and command spells. Illusion: Fix several incorrect conditions. Illusion - Shadow Legion: add missing variable level cap keyword. Restoration: Add injected keywords for sun and poison spells (shared with Mysticism). Restoration - Black Hand: Reduce poison damage from 50 -> 25 per second. (REQUIRES NEW VOKRII-ODIN PATCH)- 36 replies

I am not very good at reading crash logg logs but farkas is mentioned and the mod "Diversity". Maby you have several mods that change farkas? Best help with a crash log would probably be the mods page on Nexus. HERE- 21 replies

New version of ENBSeries v 0.488 Fixed various bugs with water and made sharper looking displacement. Water For ENB mod was also updated to match recent changes. I found some places where game do not apply amplitude modifier, so patched such waters. For example near Solitude is one of such water which do not react properly for waves amplitude.
