  4. I have a modlist from Wabbajack on my computer. I downloaded a brand new MO2 on my computer as the MO2 in my modlist, through Wabbajack has MO2 contained in its own folder. I was working on the Step list but some of the .dll's needed to get updated so I have been playing the Wabba modlist. When I opened it up after starting the Step build, MO2 asked me to change my file path back to the modlist, which I found worrying. I just tried to open the Step MO2 and got this: Does anyone have any feedback for me? Did I set things up incorrectly? I checked the game path and it is correct per the Step instructions. Thanks.

  8. So I've only recently started using STEP and your forums, and after asking a few questions I noticed that my posts had an auto signature attached to them that I never added. The API seems to have pulled from a newegg.com purchase list of some PC components I picked up a while ago, and it was little jarring to see it there. I click on or around this signature and there was an option to hide all signatures. Unfortunately this seems to have hidden signatures from everyone for me. I did get around to the page where you list out your system specs, but now I can not locate any place to re-enable signatures in the forums. Whether or not I like what my new system spec sig looks or not is immaterial if I can't even see what it looks like in a post. If anyone can point me to where signatures are enabled/disabled I would be quite thankful. Cheers

  11. Following installation of the STEP guide for Skyrim SE i'm experiencing a minor issue with overlapping textures that only occurs after I walk a certain distance and that is resolved by entering/exiting a building or quicksaving and loading. I'd be immensely appreciative if anyone here could point me in the direction of the part of the guide most likely to be causing this. Z-fighting after entering a new area: The same area after quitting and reloading:

  14. In MO, scroll to the top of the mod list (left) pane, and hold Ctrl + double click on xEdit Output mod to open in Explorer. Inside the "SSEEdit Backups" folder, rename the files to "MasterName.esm" (i.e. "Update.esm"). If there are multiple copies of any of the files, use the one with the earliest timestamp (the original). Move or copy the renamed files into the 'real' game directory (..\Data), choosing to overwrite/replace, if asked. All Explorer windows can be closed now. Return to the MO window. NOTE: To verify the vanilla mods have been cleaned, LOOT can be run again, and no warnings should be apparent. They're dirty again. A vicious circle.

  18. the arguments '-iknowwhatimdoing' and '-allowmasterfilesedit' should NOT be entrenched into the STEP guide. for starters: nothing you do with xEdit actually requires the latter one. and the first is NOT meant 'simply for disabling a single pop-up': it does much more and the user is /meant/ to -ahem- KNOW WHAT IT IS and WHAT THEY DO. hence, the name. This applies to SSE, as well. thanks.
  19. Under the step xLODGen - Wrap Up it says but later on under the DynDOLOD - Wrap Up section one of the instructions is So it says to disable the same mod twice, and doesn't mention Magestic Mountains -LODGen except for in the first quote. I assume the second quote is supposed to be "Disable (TEMP) Magestic Mountains -LODGen" but I'm not experienced enough with DynDOLOD and LODGen stuff to know for sure.
  20. I just went through the entire guide, and thank you very much for creating this BTW. I followed the directions and before getting to STEP 5 (LOD), I tried to launch the game via SKSE in MO2. It stays on the first loading screen indefinitely with the loading spinner, and my CPU stays at about 25%. Also, I'm seeing Overwrite files SKSE->Plugins->Fuz RoD'oh.ini and SkyrimUncapper.ini after launching. I'm not sure if those are supposed to be there now or not. If I switch to the Vanilla profile in MO2, the game does launch just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  21. I was going through LOOT and doing some cleaning, and I came across a peculiar message involving 'FacegenForKids.esp', which is part of the Simple Children mod. I have an image below of this odd warning and wanted to ask if this is something I should go through editing in USSEP or is this something to just ignore?
  22. While trying out Rustic Clutter Collection I discovered a minor issue with the Ruins Clutter Improved bloody silverware blood decal. The bloody silverware (2 goblets and 1 jug) has a strange glow in the dark look to them, as can be seen here. With vanilla Skyrim + Ruins Clutter Improved only: here. They look mostly fine when illuminated. In case the images don't do it justice, basically in very dark lightning you see clear red rings that don't make sense. Ruins Clutter Improved adds new meshes with a new blood decal to go with it and when I disable these meshes to properly try out Rustic Clutter Collection, which doesn't add new meshes and don't 100% fit the ruins clutter improved meshes, I discovered that Enhanced Blood Textures completely messes things up as can be seen here. So removing the new meshes, with or without new textures, makes things worse imo and therefore isn't a viable resolution to the glow-in-the-dark look. I tried modifying the new meshes in NifSkope but that yielded only very modest improvements. Does anyone know or have suggestions for how I can tweak the meshes or blood decal to reduce or eliminate the glow-in-the-dark blood? Alternatively, a fix for the enhanced blood textures+vanilla meshes blood would also be appreciated because I can then use Rustic Clutter instead. I should add that this is an accurate depiction of my nifskoping skills
