  1. Discussion topic: Clothing Scrapping Redone by VishVadeva50 Wiki Link Probably worth checking out.
  2. Have you used Nemesis? Could be you forgot to update your Nemesis to be compatible with your installed mods. It appears both your crashes are animation related, and I see you also use Dynamic Animation Replacer. You may need to correct your animation setup, as it's easy to have incompatibilities there.
  3. Only thing I would be concerned about is if there are any conflicts.
  4. How does DynDOLOD detect the models for this? Will it use a LOD\Mountains\MountainCliff01_LOD_1H.nif, 2H, 3H if available?
  5. Yeah, you're right. Hard enough getting it to look right in object lod.
  6. Now there's a thought. Put grass lod in tree LOD and ultra trees in 3d lod. Only problem would be enb compatibility. But you could basically treat grass lod separately so that you wouldn't hurt performance of object lod, setting the grass distance via fTreeLoadDistance and shortening fBlockLevel0Distance.
  7. Discussion topic: Photon Disruptor by neeher, dpillari Wiki Link While I don't intend to add any weapons in the initial release, I would like to look into adding some quality weapon mods to add more diversity. Neeher makes some very nice ones, and his videos he makes showcasing them look very nice and are fun to watch.
  8. I believe that Open Cities is basically a one-of-a-kind case where you have that kind of special handling. At any rate, Sheson's website lists all the known mods that may require special handling.
  9. I think it could be your DynDOLOD needs updating, or perhaps, since you indicate significant stuttering issue, you need to lower the DynDOLOD settings.
  10. The smoke test is merely to see if the game will launch without crashing. You should be fine to continue on with the guide.
  11. Discussion topic: Real Dwemer Pipes by Janissaries Wiki Link Testing: Install Dwemer Pipework Reworked, Improved Dwemer Glass, and JS Dwemer Artifacts SE Install this mod in order within 06 mod group using the following options from the FOMOD: Dwemer Pipework Reworked CC Add-on ENB Light for DPR (for 21-Post-Processing, else skip) No Glow Maps JS Dwemer Artifacts and Improved Dwemer Glass It should be overwriting all conflicts and not be overridden Glow Maps are skipped because the majority of the objects with them have no "source" for the glow to exist. It's just "pretty" for the sake of being pretty. May be worth a look. The screens are promising.
  12. Discussion topic: ERM - Enhanced Rocks and Mountains by SparrowPrince Wiki Link This may be worth a look. Best to wait until the lods are finished, however.
  13. I don't think there is anything stopping you from using it. It looks like it has been updated recently, so it may be more refined than the last time I looked into it.
  14. I would disable the mod providing this texture: textures\pulcharmsolis\kvetchimerc\helmet_n.dds You might not crash until the mesh comes into view, which is probably why you didn't crash when you visited.
  15. The temp mod for Cathedral Landscapes is specifically designed to fix this issue for xLODGen is the answer for the yellow terrain LOD. As for the color for the snow on the mountains and rocks, that is much more difficult to force it to match, as the game uses a special shader to handle this: https://dyndolod.info/Help/Snow-Ash-LOD-Shader Be aware that not all lods use this shader, and some use the snow texture itself (such as my road lods) which is why they may be correct while other objects are not. Modifying the base records for the lod snow shader should improve your match for the mountains and rocks that may utilize this shader.
  16. Could you please link some screenshots?
  17. Vanilla --> Fallout 4 HD Overhaul --> Far Harbor Pine Branches 4K I consider this mod to be a bugfix as well as a significant resolution upgrade. It appears that Bethesda screwed up the branch textures and saved them under the wrong color profile or something. Notice how the vanilla Beach branches are like black in comparison to the whiter bark. This idea is also backed up by the fact that the vanilla LOD texture for the Beach trees is also white, matching the bark. The same is the case for the vanilla red pine branch textures. Notice how only one of them, the RedPineQuarter01 branch texture, is the correct light color. The rest of them are significantly dark and blotchy. I believe the same issue affected these textures. This is also backed up by the fact that the vanilla LOD textures for these are the same bright color like the correct RedPineQuarter branch texture. Therefore, I am accepting this for the current dev 1.0 guide.
  18. Vanilla --> Fallout 4 HD Overhaul --> OpTicTrukZ's Plants and Herbs Revamped --> LC's UHD Fungus Brain Vanilla --> Fallout 4 HD Overhaul 2k --> OpTicTrukZ's Plants and Herbs Revamped --> Finer Vanilla Vines 4k Vanilla --> Fallout 4 HD Overhaul --> OpTicTrukZ's Plants and Herbs Revamped --> Fix for Forsynthia In every case a different mod wins over this mod. It becomes exceedingly obvious in these compares that all this mod is the original textures with a sharpen filter applied over top. However, as the below compare shows, this actually causes significant loss of detail in the faraway details of the affected plants, due to lack of attention to the mipmaps. Mipmaps are very important when dealing with plant textures, and not using the right transparency alpha threshold settings for the mipmaps results in them fading out significantly in the distance and increasing overdraw. Notice how while the close details mimic vanilla, but the plants just beyond the tracks have such bad mipmapping that some of them well-nigh disappear. Vanilla --> Fallout 4 HD Overhaul --> OpTicTrukZ's Plants and Herbs Revamped In most every case Fallout 4 HD Overhaul wins, and it always wins over this mod, so I am removing this from testing.
  19. Discussion topic: Fix for Forsythia by MediAsylum Wiki Link Vanilla --> Fallout 4 HD Overhaul --> OpTicTrukZ's Plants and Herbs Revamped --> Fix for Forsynthia While I'm not proposing this mod for the guide, I felt I might as well make the mod page for it since I added it to the compare list for this plant. I feel that Fallout 4 HD Overhaul already does a very good job with this plant in making it no longer pitch black.
  20. These are an improvement upon the existing textures, with the main feature being the improved glow map. It makes dark areas just a tad brighter with the glow of the brain fungus. Despite the UHD name, it is only 1k resolution, so it isn't a performance concern.
  21. Vanilla --> Fallout 4 HD Overhaul --> OpTicTrukZ's Plants and Herbs Revamped --> LC's UHD Fungus Brain
  22. I know I've seen this issue before, but I can't remember exactly how it is reproduced. My gut says it was a bad ini tweak that caused it, so try resetting your ini files with BethINI.
  23. Vortex uses the default location to store its ini files. Documents/My Games/Fallout 4. Fallout4.ini, Fallout4Prefs.ini, and Fallout4Custom.ini are the ones used by the game, and are the files that will be set to read-only if ticking that option in BethINI under Setup. I personally do not recommend doing so, as it disallows you from permanently altering settings via the in-game menu, such as volume. MO2 may or may not use profile-specific ini files, depending on if that setting is turned on for the profile.
  24. Never had a problem with it. Typically issues in regards to script lag is a cumulative effect of using too many script-intensive mods. Step is very light on scripts. Also, we use Papyrus Tweaks, which lessens any potential problem with script lag. We haven't tested Splashes of Storms with the guide.
