  1. You can make custom edits in the Custom tab. It is also fine to use the MO2 ini editor.
  2. You cannot use compression on sound/music files in BSA archives. Consider using BSArch Pro to make an archive where you can have some files compressed and sound files uncompressed in the same archive. Alternately, just don't use compression.
  3. Probably fNearDistance if you haven't corrected that yet.
  4. You are noticing that billboards are not a perfect replication of full trees and grass. This is not much you can do beyond making perfect 3d LODs for the trees, and tweaking your grass color/brightness to match more correctly.
  5. I did a check over the files, and we should be able to package this to replace the base game voice ba2 files so as to not waste any ba2 slots, and also fix the fact that the sounds are in compressed archives. Well, scratch that. That just causes CTD
  6. Discussion topic: Northern Foothills Rocks Fix by ossumpossum Wiki Link The game was initially designed to use two different exterior rock textures: a darker variant in the Northern Foothills region, and the brighter gray variant everywhere else. However, I believe that Bethesda had issues setting up the LODs to correctly match the darker variants (they royally screwed up their material swaps and lod meshes for this), so they reverted the texture paths to the brighter gray variant, which is what you then see everywhere. This mod restores the materials to point to the Northern Foothills rock textures. One obvious result is that since no one has actually seen these textures in game due to this issue, none of the current retextures for this rock texture (yes, people did faithfully retexture it despite never seeing it in game), they don't blend very well with the landscape. I'm currently working on a rock texture mod (which is pretty much done) that will use this fix to restore the darker variant while also blending in very well with the landscape.
  7. Discussion topic: Radio Tower Transparency Fix by ossumpossum Wiki Link Simple alpha testing enable on the material. Works as expected. My only concern is the fact that the material file is named AlphaFix03.bgsm. The name implies that this material was made as a fix for something involving alpha transparency. Therefore, while this works as intended here, I would keep an eye out for any item that looks incorrect as a result of this change, as it could be used on other objects where the alpha looks off. Another possibility is that it was named this way so that the developer would remember to fix the alpha, but forgot to. Before --> After
  8. Discussion topic: High Quality Music from PS4 by SkyBorik Wiki Link Like the related Skyrim mod, and the related Voices mod, this one uses the PS4 audio for music to replace the base game music with, resulting in higher quality. The archive in this one is correctly formatted as uncompressed, so should be plug and play. Only conflict is the main music theme from LOST Audio Tweaks, which isn't a problem. This should therefore be a no-brainer.
  9. After significant testing, it just is too much of a pain to sort these out. There are some textures that have severe artifacts in them and other problems, besides being upscaled in a very unnoticeable manner (I can't see that any detail has actually been added). Only real things I like is the cases where I prefer vanilla over Luxor's, which we can handle ourselves.
  10. If that's the case, I would simply remove the crown altogether. It doesn't sound necessary for lod.
  11. You would make a mesh mask rule and set lod4 to Full. I don't see much likelihood that this will help though, since I do believe that @z929669 uses the full crowns on the 3d hybrids anyway. There are two different lod trees available... decimated one and the full crowns, so switching between them, if you haven't already tried that, might yield different results.
  12. I think you are merely noticing small differences based upon slight changes of the light reflecting off the normal maps between full and lod versions. I think you are expecting it to be more accurate than it is. I also think that the alpha on the LOD versions appears slightly thicker than in full, and that is probably overemphasizing it to you.
  13. Sorry. I should have said above the photos, as I forgot we just changed the formatting. OK, so the idea is simply this. Your first configuration of BethINI was for High preset. That was when you followed all of the BethINI instructions in their entirety. Now that in performance testing, you are trying to increase performance by changing the presets. When doing this, the vast majority of the settings from your initial setup are preserved. Therefore, if you go back now and simply change a lower preset button (but not Default... that resets everything), it will only lower the graphics intensive settings to be more performance friendly. Now, with our guide there are some settings that we expect to remain constant. These are the settings specifically mentioned in the dropdown boxes for each tab. However, we know that the only ones that should change, if you only click a lower quality preset, are the specific written instructions in the Basic, Detail, and Visuals tab. Therefore, you should apply the written instructions for those tabs after changing the preset. If you instead try and change everything to match the photos, which display the high preset, well... you haven't really changed anything.
  14. Discussion topic: Fabulous Fire Extinguisher (Replacer) by fadingsignal Wiki Link This looks nice. My main reservation is that, due to how common this is, it might stick out a little bit too much.
  15. Don't match the photos. Change the settings specifically mentioned below the photos.
  16. My ACMOS mod probably fixes this vanilla game issue. I think, however, you may have a mod lengthening the Dayspring Canyon name, as I don't recall it being that long.
  17. Discussion topic: Rebuild Sanctuary by Aurelianis Wiki Link Keeping an eye on this one. I always have wanted the ability to repair these houses.
  18. If not using ENB, I wouldn't even worry about it.
  19. This is caused by using Worldspace Transition Tweaks and xLODGen Resource - SSE Terrain Tamriel together. Use only one or the other.
  20. You likely have a mod that affects the fNearDistance settings, or have altered these yourself in your ini file, which is causing this. It is "vanilla" but I don't normally see it that bad.
  21. Some NPCs are allowed to have alternate colored eyes. You can replicate this yourself in the character creation menu.
  22. Link to assets and to mod are identical links. I believe you intended to link some custom ones in the second link?
  23. The red comment is incorrect. The game will always CTD if you are missing required plugins.
  24. Here's where your thinking is wrong SSE Display Tweaks doesn't modify the ini files to force the windowed mode state. It applies runtime patch to do so, so no matter what is in your ini file, it will be overwritten by SSE Display Tweaks. Disable SSE Display Tweaks, and it should open in windowed mode as expected.
  25. Discussion topic: Fallout 4 High Quality Audio by tronotized Wiki Link I'm tracking this one for now. The author notes that it needs polish, and it sounds like the archives may be compressed (should be uncompressed for sounds).
