oqhansoloqo Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I found this to be somewhat confusing as well. When I was updating to 2.2.9, I moved it down below DSR in my mod list and crossed my fingers that I had done the correct thing. I agree that placing the mod in the correct spot in the list would make it clearer and easier to understand.
bern43 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I installed in the wrong order for my Extended install. Have a few hours into a new game. Any issues with moving it now? I'm always paranoid about messing up saves. I assuming after moving it I should rebuild all my patches? Thanks!
redirishlord Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 BSW is just meshes, so you should be fine to drag and drop in MO's left pane (caveat: I'm not an expert, take my advice at your own risk). For additional safety you might launch the game, go somewhere indoors and private and unequip your weapons, so that none of the vanilla meshes are being rendered, then save and do your drag and drop in MO and all should be well. I don't believe you need to run DSR after moving BSW, I believe MO will use the proper textures and the existing DSR patch should be happy, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will correct me if I'm mistaken.
TenshoHappyCat Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Hello, 1.9.8 just came out. I think the author added the option of greatsword sheathes in the page one of the FOMOD. I clicked "No Greatsword Sheathes" thinking that that may be more in-line with STEP: Core since we already have Greatsword Sheaths and Scabbards Redux from 2. I. Clothing and Equipment.
DoubleYou Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 No, we do want the Greatsword sheathes. It adds some that the other mod doesn't.
lexo1000 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Hi!Why don't you recommend to install the shaped quivers? Does a mod in STEP already edit them?Same question for 'No greatsword Shealts'. If Im correct, you recommend to CLICK this option to don't install them? Also, the installation guide don't mention the Mehrune's Razor option. Thanks Edited December 12, 2014 by lexo1000
TechAngel85 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 We don't install quivers because they are changed from vanilla a little bit. Nothing that isn't too far off though. I play a Ranger-type character so I personally install them because they look better. Sheaths are covered by another mod.
hishutup Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I dont know when this was updated but its on 1.9.9 and some of the instructions dont line up you say Ebony SwordsIm sure you mean Ebony Dagger and Swords Page 6: DawnguardDragonBoringNone Page 7: Dragonborn Stalhrim None Swords
DoYouEvenModBro Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 This is NOT compatible with mods that change weapon meshes, right? For example, Aiyen's Alternative Daedric Weapons changes both textures and meshes.
WilliamImm Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 Just make sure this mod is installed after any mod that changes the weapon meshes.
TechAngel85 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 What was the consensus about the quivers? I can't remember so I'll go back to read the thread when I can in a bit. I seem to remember installing them and not having any issues, but it seems closer quivers and longer arrows played a roll in the debate....
TechAngel85 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 So...after a bit of research, I've discovered that when this mod is combined with XP32 (which we already use) that the gap caused by quivers is no longer present. Here's the post: Request:Now I have only one request. I am using the longer arrows mod and acompanying quivers (Closer Quivers and Longer Arrows - NMM-Bash Compatible Wizard-5711-4-2). It would be nice if you could create a patch for those as you did for the aMidianBorn meshes. Reply:I can't make a patch for closer quivers because they edit the same thing: meshes. You have to use these or those, mine are optional so you can use those if you prefer them. If you prefer these but want them closer then edit the Quiver node in your skeleton.nif or just use a custom skeleton that's already moved it, like xp32. If this is true, then the only reason to not use the quivers would be for the preference of having longer arrows in the quiver. The longer arrow fix would still be in effect for Closer Quivers, but the arrows would be shorter in the quiver like vanilla. I guess supplying some compares would be the best way to determine.
EssArrBee Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 This mod updated to 2.0 recently and the mod page needs an update. I did the last one just a few days ago, but leanwolf seems to be putting in some time on it. Hopefully, he finishes DG and/or DB so we can drop one of those optional files from De-LARP soon.
TechAngel85 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I've already checked it out and nothing has changed for our instructions. I've updated the mod page saying it's good for the newest version.
