  1. Change the hotkey for enb brute force mode to be something other than b
  2. Added quite a bit of info about the NVHBAO settings primarily, but I have recently added lots of info throughout this guide. Main takeaway I would say is to disable the HBAO+ blur: [NVHBAO] bBlurEnable=0
  3. Well, it would not hurt to post your ini files.
  4. It is possible you have an Mod Organizer INI tweak or (more likely) a plugin-loaded INI that is overwriting the change. Look for a paperclip in the plugins tab to see if you have any plugin INIs, and if so, check them to make sure they don't change this setting. You may also check to see if you have a SkyrimCustom.ini. That could do it too. Basically any setting that merely shows a default value on the Skyrim INI guide here on STEP I would have little idea as to its effect.
  5. You are using a lot of tweaks that even I don't know what they do yet. It may be that one of them is canceling it out. Also, please note that Mod Organizer uses its own INI files for your given profile, so make sure you are changing those and not the ones in Documents\My Games\Skyrim.
  6. Only thing you might need is the DirectX June 2010 redistributable.
  7. Have you used memory blocks log to verify that the memory patch is working? Your INI files look fine.
  8. Founders Edition = Reference Card They just gave it a new name to get everybody confused.
  9. You can still use it. Whether or not it is still relevant is debatable.
  10. Updated OP to 1.5 patch What's changed: Skyrim.ini [Archive] bAutoloadTESFileArchives was removed. ;They just added this last patch, and removed it this patch. I guess they decided it was a mistake. sResourceArchiveListBeta was removed. ;They finally removed this test setting. I don't think we ever knew what it did, but it probably didn't do anything desirable. It was added to Skyrim at some point, but never used. [bethesda.net] bEnablePlatform=1 ;They finally enabled their modding platform! sAccountsURL= sBethesdaBeam= sBethesdaBeamKey= sBethesdaCDP= sBethesdaUGC= sBethesdaUSL= sDeveloperUsername= sEnvironment=Production sModsDownloadDirectory=Mods sModsInstallDirectory= sModsURL= uiDownloadBufferSize=0 uiUploadBufferSize=0 ;All various things to do with the mods platform. Previous versions had various strings here. It would be interesting to see what putting those values back in would do. Would it access hidden content??? [Camera] ;Related note from the changelog: "Third person camera movement improvements when player is close up against walls and other objects." These improvements might be useful in other games. fCameraCasterTargetSize=8.0000 ;They reduced this value from 10 to 8. Not sure what it does. fCameraRecoveryMult=0.9000 ;They reduced this value from 1.5 to 0.9. Not sure what it does. fMinTimeInvisible=0.0500 ;They reduced this value from 0.1 to 0.05. Not sure what it does. [Gameplay] bPlayerGrabThrowEnable=1 ;This new setting probably allows the PC to grab and throw stuff. bStroud=1 ;This setting was added in the last patch, but disabled. They enabled it for this patch. Guessing it has something to do with Survival. fPlayerGrabThrowImpulseBase=250.0000 fPlayerGrabThrowImpulseMax=1000.0000 fPlayerGrabThrowStrengthMult=500.0000 ;These new settings probably control how far the PC can throw stuff? [General] sTestFile1= ;In Bethesda games, the sTestFile settings could historically be used to load ESM files, and usually sTestFile1 defaulted to the main ESM so that it was always loaded presumably. This was the case until now, where Bethesda seems confident enough to set it to blank. strPluginsFileHeader=# This file is used by Fallout4 to keep track of your downloaded content. ;This setting evidently adds a prefix to the plugins.txt file. I think they accidentally added in this setting. [Voice] sFileTypeFUZ=fuz ;Interesting... [Workshop] uWorkshopLogicGateLoopFailsafe=100 ;Probably some kind of time limit that breaks a loop if it goes on too long, related to something in Workshop mode. SkyrimPrefs.ini [interface] uHUDActiveEffectWidget=2 ;Looks like we may now modify a HUD widget that shows active effects?
  11. You must have accidentally enabled Terrain Fade-in, unless spINI had a bug in it. I removed this settings entirely, so it can't be a problem anymore anyway if it was a bug. To fix, just set bUseNewTerrainSystem to 1 in Skyrim.ini. fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist doesn't matter, and 1e+007 is simply the vanilla ultra value in exponential notation, which both are identical. As for Dragonsreach, I don't know of the issue you describe. If it was there before, I assume it is some mod problem.
  12. Please verify that the INI Path under Setup is set to the correct directory. It is possible that spINI may inaccurately detect your Mod Organizer location.
  13. Wiki is the best source of enb optimization I know of.
  14. I don't think it matters, but probably best to set it back to 64.
  15. You should be able to change ugrids in one of the tabs, I think under details tab. Setting it to 7 is a performance hog, but you can't change it for your existing game. I don't do the whole Steam chat thing.
  16. Need more information than that. What were your previous ini files (find them in spINI Cache/Before spINI)? What are your current ini files?
  17. I've uploaded my current version as a Miscellaneous file. I am calling it alpha, since I'm sure I've missed some bugs. Supports Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4. 3.0alpha -Bugfix: Corrected incorrect fFlickeringLightDistance default value. -Bugfix: If the INI files were set to read-only, they couldn't be modified. Read-only files are automatically made writeable during the backup process. -Bugfix: Duplicate settings are now automatically removed. -Changed "Intro Video" to "Intro Logos" -Removed Terrain Fade-In since it really is not a setting one would want to enable in any known circumstances. -Increased slider length for Actor, Item, and Object fade distances from 15 to 30. -Increased slider length for Grass Fade distance from 15000 to 18000 -Decreased slider length for Level 16 distant object detail from 500000 to 250000 -The Archive Invalidation settings for all games except Fallout 4 shall now be automatically preserved. -Added code for support of Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4. -Improved Video Card detection and removed the hacky method of finding it, as it has too many ways that it can throw nasty errors. -Improved Backup code and added support for backing up "Custom" INI files used by Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Skyrim. -Added support for restoring backed up "Custom" INI files used by Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Skyrim. -Some general code cleanup and optimization. -The app now tells how long it took to complete startup. Known issues: -Defaults to Skyrim at startup. Need to add a first-time choice. -Lock sensitivity slider is not useful for Oblivion, Fallout 3, or Fallout New Vegas as it give too high values.
  18. Simple. Turn off internet while in-game. No more updates ;) But seriously, you should be able to alt-tab back in. You just need to alt-tab twice. At least that always has worked on my systems.
  19. It was updated right after we finished testing.
  20. After testing, I approve of the current version of this mod and recommend it for STEP inclusion.
  21. This is why I always recommend putting such comments on a new line just after the setting. Not all programs can handle them being on the same line, especially if it is set up to read a string value.
  22. I just checked, and I had this deactivated in my setup as well. I didn't even notice TBH. With that, I'm obviously okay with dropping this. Saves some heartache.
  23. You using Flawless Wide-screen?
  24. Error code 5 is normally a permissions issue. Make sure it has the right security settings for the skyrim folder
