Guest Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Here are all the textures it uses: textureslandscapeIcicle.ddstextureslandscapeIcicle_n.ddstextureslandscapeIcicle.dds-texturescubemapsGlacierIce_e.dds-textureslandscapeIcicleParallax.dds-- Are any of the bottom 3 textures changed or removed in the BSShaderTextureSet block?
TechAngel85 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Aha! There those suckers are! Yeah, nifskope needs to update it's documentation. They are all there.
Guest Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Are there two "NiTriShape" blocks in the mesh you are looking at?
TechAngel85 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Something must be packed up into a BSA somewhere because I can't find any of those textures in any STEP mod that would be causing it too look different. This is going to be a manhunt of activating mods one-by-one.
Guest Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 It looks like the UV's of the STEP one were scaled x2 or something. That would explain it.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Well I'm looking in mod organizer and the only BSAs I have installed are the default skyrim ones and HRDLC. Everything else I extracted to loose files. I'm still not seeing any conflicts for those textures/meshes.
Aiyen Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Make sure you check for meshes as well since any changed mesh will also alter the visuals... probably more then the textures themselves.
TechAngel85 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Are there two "NiTriShape" blocks in the mesh you are looking at?Yes and two "BSShaderTextureSet". The second one only lists:Icicle_n.ddsIcicle_n.dds
Guest Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 (edited) Tech try to confirm this by right click on the object in Nifskope > Texture > Edit UV then seeing if the UV web extends over the grey box in the middle vertically. Edit: Yep that block is where the refraction effect lies. Two _n textures are the giveaway. Edited June 9, 2014 by Guest

Guest Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 (edited) Okay that may be the refraction one, try doing the same, but clicking on the NiTriShape on both blocks instead of the mesh view. Do the UV's look same on both? Edited June 9, 2014 by Guest
TechAngel85 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Had to step out for a bit. Will be back in about an hour.

TechAngel85 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I figured out which mod is messing with this one. It's Terrain Bump which has an icicle_n.dds file: Vanilla >> with Terrain Bump >> with icicle_n.dds hidden This is what's causing all the undesirable effects. I'm going to redo all the compares with this file hidden in Terrain Bump.

Except for some snowflakes in different spots they are the same. Either way TB is best. I think SP should do some 8k uncompressed normal maps.
