Octopuss
Oh ok. I somehow thought the mod had a texture for it as well. That's actually pretty good. Gotta go check the other mods!
Aiyen
Altering the meshes to contain transparency and refraction will alter the color of the model as well. My main gripe with this mod is that it looks awesome in certain locations (for example the caves) however horrible in others (Windhelm). In order to get this effect to really shine one would have to manually edit the various meshes with different settings depending on locale. Also the texture used needs to be one that complements the effects to begin with. And I am fairly certain that the step choices for ice do not do this atm. Hence why there is an overly blue atronach for example.
TechAngel85
The blue atronach isn't due to the choice in ice. It's due to the mod replacer for it, Frost Atronach HD which happens to be more blue in color. I think STEP's icicles texture is coming from HRDLC, but I could be wrong. DoYouEvenModBro
I'm pretty sure you're right Tech. STEP's icicle texture should be coming from HRDLC. Also, idk if it's my ENB or what, but I really like Frost Atronarch HD. Even though it doesn't have refraction and doesn't look transparent, I think it's perfect. TechAngel85
None of the meshes have a texture path to them so I can't tell where they're pulling the texture from... or perhaps I just don't know enough about NifSkope to figure it out.
EssArrBee
If step icicles came from hrdlc then they would look the same as the first photo in each set. I think they come from a mod maybe rwt or real ice.

EssArrBee
There is a standalone icicle file from one of the ice mods. Snow and Ice HD maybe. That will tell you the textures.
TechAngel85
I finally got nifskope to load textures; however, I still don't see any texture paths in the blocks. They need to update their documentation. EDIT: Icicles still won't load a texture and I've every snow related mod to the textures folder....
TechAngel85
HOLD the phone...! These look different depending on what texture they're pulling from. They look even better in just pure vanilla: Vanilla >> STEP
Aiyen
icicles are in textureslandscapeicicle.ddsAnd icicleparallax.dds if one use that.
TechAngel85
Fixed it so reload if you were here for 1 minute ago. This means the STEP texture is affecting it negatively. Because vanilla looks better.
Guest
Which meshes are you looking at? Icicles or Atronach?
TechAngel85
Does MO conflict tab count case? Because this mod's texture is "icicle.DDS" and not icicle.dds" @SP Icicles EDIT: I changed it...I guess not. There are no conflicts for the icicle texture....so what is STEP using because they are clearly different than vanilla.
DoYouEvenModBro
So which STEP mod is affecting them? I know Skyrim2k used to have icicle textures but that was removed.
