Yes, you must have an account and be logged in to download files from Nexus. I just verified this by going to the Run Sprint and Jump mod while in incognito mode.

STEP Part 17-Locations -- Oakwood File Missing
Greg replied to DOOGLAK's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Oops... Lockpick Pro is not in the guide. This is a mod I add to all my playthroughs so i don't have to curse the lockpick minigame. I'll double check my profile for Heart of the Beast and New Thinner Torch. These may have just been hidden temporarily and I failed to note these are hidden instead of deleted. -
I'm having mixed feelings about this as well. I prefer to keep Arthmoor's mods in the guide, but I honestly don't want to create an account on afkmods just to be able to download mods.

DynDOLOD Beta for Skyrim Special Edition, Skyrim VR and Enderal SE 2.98
Greg replied to sheson's topic in DynDOLOD & xLODGen
I see a few issues in your screenshots: It looks as if you have FNIS and a Bashed Batch in your Data directory based on the mod names (Unmanaged: FNIS and Unmanaged: Bashed Patch, 0). You have DynDOLOD and TexGen installed in the same folder (E:\LODGen - Skyrim SE). You should install these in separate folders. The arguments for xLODGen should be something like this: -lodgen -sse -o:"E:\Modding Tools\xLODGen\xLODGen_Output"- 2,309 replies

STEP Part 17-Locations -- Oakwood File Missing

This is the list of mods I have so far. Skyrim Legendary Edition: Alternate Start - Live Another Life Bring Out Your Dead Cutting Room Floor Fire Halo Remover Helarchen Creek Point the Way Run For Your Lives The Paarthurnax Dilemma Skyrim Special Edition: Better Horse Pain Sounds Bring Out Your Dead Consistent Older People Heart of the Best Helarchen Creek Lockpick Pro New Thinner Torch (may be replaced with Embers XD anyway) Oakwood -
You might review the Skyrim SE 1.0 Guide to see how STEP organizes DynDOLOD Resources in relation to other texture mods. This is off topic here so fee free to open a conversation in General Skyrim SE Discussion and Support if have questions regarding install order.

I think this mod may be pointless without Unique Region Names since most of the regions are vaguely named Skyrim. In hindsight, Unique Region Names may be somewhat of a patch hassle anyway given pretty much every mod on the planet uses Bethesda names for the cells. I think the easy answer is to drop it.

I just install ENB Light 0.98 Alpha 2 with z's instructions and I get the same error. You just went into the 01 - Base\Vanilla Torch folder, created a folder named meshes, and moved the weapons folder into the new meshes folder just created?

Almost finishing S.T.E.P. but...
Greg replied to Jarda's topic in General Skyrim SE Discussion & Support
Yes, this is correct and I currently have three builds that do it this way. Cathedral Landscapes in 04-Foundation is a bit different in that this one is used only when generating LOD in Step 5. -
Almost finishing S.T.E.P. but...
Greg replied to Jarda's topic in General Skyrim SE Discussion & Support
I see you have ODIN and Vokrii installed. Did you by any chance follow the STEP SE 2.0 guide? The reason I'm asking is because this guide is still being developed and the 1.0.x Conflict Resolution Patch may not be compatible. -
SKYRIMLE Consistent Older People is now hidden
Greg replied to Myth's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
I don't have the STEP LE 3.0 guide installed at this time either, although I have Skyrim Legendary Edition installed and was using it with the 2.10 guide. If you don't beat me to it, I may be able to set up the guide and the remove Consistent Older People from the CR patch this weekend. I just verified I have Consistent Older People 31b All USLEEP-19730-3-1b.7z in my Skyrim LE mod archives. -
<includeonly>__NOTOC__<includeonly><INSERT TEMPLATE CODE HERE WITHOUT ANY SPACES OR LINE BREAKS></includeonly><noinclude>__NOTOC__ ... </noinclude> Looking at the first line of code, it looks as if the initial includeonly and __NOTOC__ are redundant?

I see a few inconsistencies with the logos. The logos in Available Images include Delta, Mod Organizer, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Morrowind, No Man's Sky, Oblivion, Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition. The logo parameter lists delta, fo3, f04, fnv (not shown in the logos), nomanssky, skyrim and skyrimse but doesn't include Mod Organizer, Morrowind or Oblivion.

I see a few places in the OP like the above that have "the and tags" that I suspect are missing the actual tag names.

Generally, you do not need to regenerate LOD after installing an ENB preset. Most of these just install the configuration and postprocessing files into the Skyrim Special Edition folder and do not change the LOD at all. The one exception is if the ENB preset requires installing other mods that may alter the generated LOD, although I generally stay away from ENB presets with a long list of requirements.

In most cases it doesn't really matter whether you merge the files into a single mod or install the files as separate mods. Mod Organizer normally prompts asking if you want to merge the files from the same mod if you use the Mod Manager Download button. This is possible because Nexus also supplies a separate metadata file to inform mod managers that the files are part of the same mod. If you use the Manual Download button on Nexus or you download a mod from a source other than Nexus, Mod Organizer does not get this metadata file so Mod Organizer does not know these files are part of the same mod. In this case, you'll see a prompt to confirm the name of the mod when installing a manually downloaded file. You can either leave the name unchanged to install these as separate mods or change the names to same name (i.e. Skyrim Realistic Overhaul) and Mod Organizer prompts if you want to replace or merge if a mod with this name is already installed. Your screenshot shows you are missing Skyrim Realistic Overhaul Part 2. If you install Skyrim Realistic Overhaul Part 2 as a separate mod now, it will be installed at the bottom of the left pane. Left click and hold the mouse button down on Skyrim_Realistic_Overhaul_Part_2 and drag it up to between Part 1 and Part 3 then release the mouse button.

CTD after character creation
Greg replied to BreadWiz42's topic in Fallout 3 - Clear & Present Danger
If you merged any of the mods in the guide, you might start by disabling all of the merges and the bashed patch after disabling alternate start to see if this solves the issue. I also see a potential conflict in that the guide contains instructions at the top to clean the DLCs and to clean the deleted navmeshes, but the Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch overrides the deleted navmeshes and overrides and disables all deleted objects (or appears to undelete and restore in some cases) so cleaning isn't necessary. EDIT: I just found confirmation from RoyBatterian that cleaning the DLCs will break the Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch. If you cleaned the DLCs (Anchorage.esm, BrokenSteel.esm, PointLookout.esm, ThePitt.esm, Zeta.esm), revert to the uncleaned versions of these files to see if this helps. -

If you read the Compatibility section of the Nordic Snow mod, you'll see that Nordic Snow is not compatible with Blended Roads. -
SKYRIMSE Plugins Not Appearing in Load Order
Greg replied to Andy-Man's question in Mod Organizer Support
I'm not sure what you mean because I don't see a blue bar in these screenshots. If you mean the green and grey bars in the left pane and the gray bar in the right pane (highlighted in the screenshot I attached), these are added by Mod Organizer for the following purposes: Left Pane: Green indicates the relative position of mods in the left pane that are conflict losers. In other words, other mods in your install order provides the same meshes and/or textures for Stormcloak armors but these aren't used by the game. This should be perfectly fine since I suspect you want to use the meshes and/or textures provided by Stormcloak Battle Arrmor Replacer SE. Red indicates the relative position of mods in the left that are conflict winners. If you scroll up the left pane and select a mod that provides meshes and/or textures for the Stormcloak armor, you'd see a red bar at the relative position of Stormcloak Battle Armor Replacer SE. Right Pane: The gray bar shows the relative positions of the plugin(s) installed by this mod. The gray bar is not shown if the mod does not include a plugin or the plugin has been moved to optional plugins. -
I'm guessing you are saying Fallout3Launcher runs every time you attempt to run fose_loader.exe? You should first run Fallout3Launcher from Windows so it can create the INI files and registry settings. You should then run Fallout3 from Windows to see if you get to the game menu. If you get back to the launcher again, it generally means something is preventing the launcher from doing its thing. The first place to look is your antivirus software since some of these are way overly aggressive and block games from writing to the Documents folder. You might try adding an exception for Fallout3.exe and Fallout3Launcher.exe to see if this solves the issue. OneDrive has also caused conflicts in the past that prevented Fallout3Launcher from writing or accessing the INI files, but I don't know if this is still a potential issue since I've never used OneDrive. Once Fallout3 can get to the game menu, try running fose_loader from Windows to see if it can get to the game menu. If you end up in the launcher, try adding an exception for fose_loader.exe to see if this solves the issue. You might also right click on fose_loader.exe from File Explorer and click Properties to see if it's blocked. If you see an unblock button or checkbox, click it and click OK to unblock it and try again.

The FOMOD instructions for Immersive Spectral Assassin already states to select the Alternative version and I just verified that I have the Alternative version installed as well.

Missing Batch Files for Fallout DDSopt
Greg replied to Cbode1's question in General Fallout: New Vegas Support
I've generally had mixed results with DDSOpt. Some of the textures may be optimized nicely whereas others may be degraded quality compared to the original textures. I much prefer to use good texture packs from Nexus such as NMs Texture Pack for New Vegas, Wasteland Flor and Terrain Overhaul, Textures Over Time, etc. to replace the majority of the vanilla textures.
