  1. You're question is unclear. I am saying that setting bDisableShadowJumps=0 as you have it is known to cause the shadow issue as shown in the video. That setting is irrelevant to the game version you are using.
  2. BethINI already has f1PArrowTiltUpAngle and f3PArrowTiltUpAngle settings: I just tested, and manual changes made to these settings work fine and are preserved. My guess is you are editing the INI file incorrectly, or editing the wrong INI files, misspelling, or similar.
  3. I believe that changing the following in Skyrim.ini will fix your problem: [Display] bDisableShadowJumps=1 The bug only occurs in specific cases, and may be fixed entirely in the SSE Engine Fixes updated version for AE edition, but I haven't tested. The problem is intermittent, meaning that one moment everything is fine, and the next minute it's a big issue.
  4. Yes, this is my experience as well, hence the registry tweak.
  5. The Dragonborn compares are definitely very good. Most likely the author tweaked those last, and by then had the most experience. I think there is great potential here. One thing that it looks like is he used more varied imagespaces than Cathedral. Cathedral tends to use the same imagespace for most weathers. Probably why it can be changed via MCM. Best would be customized to each weather. I really was happy to see the use of DOF in RAID.
  6. You seem to have customized the Nvidia inspector profile to use ambient occlusion? I don't think that works. You should use mostly default settings for Skyrim Special Edition. Not all nVidia settings work for every game. Also, please upload your ini files, tell us about your mod manager, etc. Need more hard details.
  7. I do not understand the question. Could you provide an example? Are you using the beta version and changing things while Bethini Pie is still open? What game, what setting, what details?
  8. Dealing with weathers in my map mod, I have a much keener appreciation for these kinds of compares. SkyrimClearTU Daytime Vanilla - I like the distant blue fog far. Cathedral has good clouds. RAID is a little too saturated and comparatively is lacking cloud details. Night Vanilla is vanilla. Very blue nights. Cathedral has best night here for details, but there is some "sunlight" that should be lessoned. RAID might be too dark. SkyrimOvercastRainTU Daytime Vanilla is very foggy and cloudy with little details and low saturation. Cathedral emphasizes distant fogs and cloudiness, while nearby is too clear. RAID uses a nice imagespace DOF effect to make it seem foggy but forgets that the distant details should have fog too and is missing much by way of cloud details. Night Vanilla is too bright. Cathedral Aurora is questionable for a cloudy, rainy weather. RAID is just black, can't really see anything much to tell. SkyrimClearSN Daytime Vanilla is too green and horizon is terrible. Cathedral handles horizon decently, has great clouds, and nice blue tones. RAID does a great job with the horizon, better on the clouds here than previous, but suffers from the vanilla green DALC still. This green makes the trees look bad. I could continue on for all the compares, but I will summarize as I am mostly repeating myself now. Vanilla bad mostly. Cathedral has great colors, great clouds, good horizon, but doesn't have the best nights. RAID has some great ideas some places, but can sometimes not do well with cloud details and colors. Nights are very dark. I can't really comment on pitch black details, and I should think there could be more details even if it is very dark in some cases by good use of DALC and other things. Nights are one of the hardest aspect of weathers IMHO. Day details are easy. Actually, dawn and dusk are hardest to get right, IME, as you have to navigate the change from night to dark. I feel Cathedral still wins these compares. However, I do believe that as people get to use some of the advanced tools in development which allows for in-game weather creation that we will soon get even more high quality weather mods. TrueDraconis posts compares in one of the Discords I'm on that are extremely impressive.
  9. If you use a mod manager, just input it in the Arguments or equivalent box for the tool's shortcut. Alternatively, set the Installed Path registry key manually to switch between.
  10. Uploaded 4.0Beta2 Added OK buttons to Setup and Preferences Restore Backup displays "None found" if no backups were made yet (not made until you save INI files first time). Still haven't fixed this not updating when changing INI Path. Fixed empty sections not being removed if we just removed the last remaining setting. Fixed issue with differing case for settings causing settings to not be removed. Added uLastAspectRatio:Launcher and bFreebiesSeen:General to SSE plugin Added Fallout 4 plugin to beta release Standard beta disclaimer to not actually use this except for testing purposes only at this point as I continue to fix bugs.
  11. I think you can redirect using the -D switch like this: -D:"C:\Path\To\Skyrim Special Edition\Data"
  12. I think the Cathedral Snow page snow might have brighter snow than the snow texture included in Cathedral Landscapes.
  13. Sounds like just plugin changes from the file notes.
  14. You need to generate a grass cache with NGIO first. See the second post. You can also look at this Grass LOD Guide. Be aware that if you are on AE, it will be very difficult to generate the necessary grass cache.
  15. Boy, I was wondering why I had never heard of the author's "RAID Weathers" before, but now I see it was just released today!
  16. I've tested with this mod installed, and yes it makes sneak harder. I don't really see a problem with this, and I feel this is more realistic. NPCs have a far greater possibility of seeing me if I am in front of them instead of behind them. It makes sense that a guard who's only job is to keep a lookout for people skulking about would have a heightened awareness to my sneaking about, so I have to ensure I'm tactful and have a backup plan if I am detected. We could note, I suppose, that this mod makes sneaking harder. But I would have thought that this fact was obvious.
  17. I am testing it in my VR profile. I need to test more to give an honest appraisal.
  18. Launch the game once to the main menu outside MO2 and try again.
  19. This is now a soft requirement to ACMOS, so I have marked it for testing. I haven't seen any issues so far. If the custom map weathers have any issue, please let me know. I'm not the best weather editor, but I'm getting better at it.
  20. Version 2.1 Added custom map weathers for Blackreach, Solstheim, Skuldafn, the Soul Cairn, the Falmer Valley, Sovngarde, and Lastendell (from Midwood Isle mod). These new weathers require Unique Map Weather Framework (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59919) by doodlez to function. This is a soft requirement only, but the maps look a lot better with them. Revised Tamriel map terrain to look better, especially beyond the borders of the map. Revised Blackreach map to show blackness beyond the map view which complements the custom weather very well. Added patch for use with Worldspace Transition Tweaks (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/48889) by AndrealphusVIII. This patch must override any generated terrain LOD from xLODGen to view the roads on the map.
  21. You broke the Dawnguard quest if Sera a died. You can't complete Dawnguard without her.
  22. Discussion topic: Worldspace Transition Tweaks by AndrealphusVIII Wiki Link This is a very interesting mod, yet relatively unknown mod. While the main thing it advertises is the ability to swim from Skyrim to Solstheim, it is a lot more than that on the LOD front. It has overhauled a huge amount of the landscape, mostly the landscape beyond the playable regions. It also expands the size of Tamriel and Solstheim worldspaces. I am unsure that there aren't problems due to the size increase, as I had thought that there was a certain limit on the bounds that can be used for worldspaces without bugs. There are multiple incompatibilities that can be found and resolved in xEdit, mostly involving weather records added to certain cells. There are landscape conflicts between this and Smooth Shores that possibly might require a Creation Kit patch. One idea I had, however, was to not use this mod in its entirety, but only for xLODGen generation, like xLODGen Resource - SSE Terrain Tamriel (which is merged with this mod, btw). I'm not sure if this is a viable idea or not, but seems possible. This will not work. Testing notes: Look for problems with LOD. Author has stated it doesn't work for DynDOLOD 3, but I rather doubt that is truly the case. Look for landscape conflicts. Install ACMOS patch.
  23. Ensure that you select the relevant MO2 profile in BethINI Setup INI Path.
  24. This works quite well. ACMOS --> This mod + customized weathers Still needs some fine tuning.
  25. Plugin INIs always override any setting the user has set in Skyrim.ini or SkyrimCustom.ini.
