FadeRange is slightly more performant than Distance. Increase Distance and reduce FadeRange if your grass mod fades into the landscape too far, but keep the sum at 20272. ExtendGrassDistance allows the game to load full grass beyond uGridsToLoad. It is more performant to restrict full grass to within uGridsToLoad and use grass object LOD via DynDOLOD. -

After having had some bad past experiences with not having saved my mod order, I very much recommend using the backup buttons regularly. -
If I had to guess, the game has several snow related effects that we have opted not to use, such as the so-called Improved Snow shader, snow Sparkles effect, and rim lighting effects. It is possible the effect may not be readily visible unless turning these effects on. The engine might treat the shader differently if the material object is flagged as snow (as typically I would apply a shader via the DNAM IIRC).

Ah. Perfect solution for such a case, although I would never use lod with such high poly count. -

Probably the most likely reason would be if you wanted to customize the texture in a special manner. Definitely wouldn't be something you would ever typically want to do, as you are defeating the largest reason why we use LOD versus full models: the draw call reduction. One reason I have practiced (outside of the DynDOLOD environment) is to allow a single pregenerated LOD file work for multiple different texture variants of the same model (e.g., green vs red) without having to force the user to regenerate LOD. -
Of note, Simplygon will no longer offer its free tier after March 31st.

Since reinstalling FOLIP fixed your first issue, my guess is your installation of Far Harbor 3d Tree LODs is similarly wrong, which would explain an error involving it. -

The smoke test before installing mods is simply to check to ensure there isn't a CTD at this point. The issue you describe should be fixed later after installing the High FPS Physics Fix mod. -

You just install it like any other mod in MO2. It requires F4SE to work. -
Check the Res01Modern01RR and related records to ensure the HasDistantLOD flag is there and the Distant LOD meshes are assigned and patch as necessary.
