  1. Like baronaatista I use the Kryptopyr mod suite; Complete Alchemy & Cooking Overhaul, Smithing Perks Overhaul and Stealth Skills Rebalanced. I definitely recommend SSR in any Skyrim profile, the light version more appropriate for STEP although I prefer the full version myself. It certainly makes the stealth skills more challenging, in a good way, you will appreciate your skill increases & character progression.
  2. After following the topic I installed FALMER by Kajuan before aMB-BoS Creatures so I'll have a bit of both. Once I see the differing textures ingame, underground & steeped in darkness, I'll post an opinion on which I favor. I like the idea of having both installed for the time being, I just need to remember to snap a few screenshots once I get sufficiently subterrean.
  3. I thought I jumped on this quick, but there's already 197 mods in the Beth Launcher for our browsing pleasure. Exciting times ... I just added my first mod, UFO4P ... very exciting times indeed.
  4. Fallout 4 - Mods Open Beta for PC Available Now @ Bethesda.net In case you missed the announcement on Steam.
  5. FWIW; SRLE includes CACO which overhauls Alchemy. I add Kryptopyr's other mods, Smithing Perks Overhaul & Stealth Skills Rebalanced to overhaul Smithing, Lockpicking, Pickpocket & Stealth. I add Path of Sorcery & Lost Grimoire to overhaul the Magic skills & spells. The Third Race Skill Overhaul takes care of the remaining skills, convenient because its modular. Finally, I bring it all together with Kryptopyr's Disparity which adds an old school TES class system as well as racial & star stone powers. So far it's all running very nicely with the Skyrim Revisited core.
  6. Since you brought it up; Yennefer of Vengerberg Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon Keira Metz Cerys an Craite Triss Merigold Geralt of Rivia Voiced followers from Witcher 3 assets.
  7. @Darth; Go, play. Things are running smoothly, although my build is somewhere between SRLE & SRLE:Extended. Kudos on the Merge section, I had forgotten I can merge face mods. I also gave in to "Bijin" supremacy, "lore-friendly" is subjective & my eyes have a sweet tooth ;-) For performance I created separate MO profiles for inidividual Skyrim player characters & limited scripted mods (followers, Helgen, Summset) by character's playtype (archmage, warlord). Additional kudos for recommending DynDOLOD at medium vs. high, that seems to have helped as well. Finally, I found Vividian a bit "saturated", so I did a custom install & selected Vanilla (assuming SRLE instructions had sent ne the "Vivid" route) which brought the Real Snow option to my attention. The TES5Edit patcher runs quickly & I'm excited to see it in play. Thanks, and have fun.
  8. Thanks mikegray; I had a similar experience with SkyTest, tried the no extra spawns version & finally abandoned the mod. Sounds like it wasn't the culprit, I'll have to give it another look (quarantined to its own MO profile for safety). Re- STEP inclusion; FWIW I see Birds & Flocks in the Steam Community Masterlist: Dangerous Mods, copied text follows ... "Birds and Flocks - Both versions - Rating: Two (2) This warning applies to both Birds and Flocks vanilla and Birds and Flocks Hearthfires Version While the mod claims to be Hearthfires compatible it does not carry over a few key edits that Hearthfires makes to the world space and also random areas such as the city worldspaces where it edits values it doesn't need to, like water levels, location data and more. The 'cleaned' version is still riddled with unnecessary edits that need to be cleaned out with Tes5Edit, however that doesn't remove all of the wild editing in the mods esp and it can still cause unseen conflicts. The script issues should be fixed via installing the USKP. There is no direct replacement for this mod." In the interest of compatibility it might make sense to drop it from STEP, or include steps to verify the recommended version is "clean". Just my $0.02, Cheers.
  9. Thank you Sir, it shall be so.
  10. I was under the impression we unpacked ALL BSA in SR:LE directions? Have I erred?
  11. So, I'm unable to load this mod in xEdit for the same reason. Anyone have insight in how to address the xEdit error? btw, I posted on the mods Nexus forum as well, I will share any response I receive ... ... Kinaga (the mod author) responded; "Probably download corruption. Try downloading the file again." After downloading the file again & replacing the previous MO installed mod Hearthfires Extended loads in TES5Edit with no mention "Line 2207 does not exist". So I'm off to enjoy the new features in game.
  12. I've enjoyed EBD in the past (as described in the STEP thread), but Disparity makes changes to height itself so I'm going to have a go at that first. Once I've got some time in with Disparity I'll try EBD on top of it for additional variance & update the thread in STEP Mod Anthology re- adding it to a personally modified SR:LE install.
  13. You might scrape the SR:LE wiki for UI mods, ther's a fairly complete set especially on top of the existing STEP set. I'm currently leaning towards "less is more" in my new build, since I lard up my recipe with plenty of additonal combat & survival mods. I pulled A Matter of Time, Atlas Map Markers w/HUD (kept the non-HUD piece), Auto-unequip Ammo, Immersive Sleep Menu, MoreHUD, Viewable Faction Ranks; not because they were bad mods but because I didn't need all the extra heads up info personally. All the additonal UI comes with a string footprint, not a concern in a pure STEP build of course, it's just all about choices. Immersive Sleep menu is probably quite useful for a MO testing profile.
  14. So, I'm loving Kryptopyr's Disparity (got the tip from Dreadflopp's Dovakiin Reborn) and among other things it covers racial height differences, but have you seen EBD-Everybody's Different Skyproc Patcher? Rootsrat had a STEP thread on it, I used it primarily to vary NPC heights (especially Khajiit, attempting to give an Ohmes/Suthay/Cathay kind of range) but you can assign body textures, eyes, hairs to it as well.
  15. You might be better served with Jabr's Legendary Cities - TES Arena It likely has fewer compatibility issues, at least with city placement, and it has Notice Board support. Not sure how it plays with Immmersive Citizens & Patrols mods, but it is actively progressing, so definitely worth tracking.
  16. Great information, thank you. I will add Animal Tweaks. Finalizing my hybrid of SR:LE, select SRLE:Extended & Dovahkiin Reborn items. Looking very forward Campfire/Frostfall/Hunterborn and the Disparity/SPO/SSR combo with TTRSO filling in gaps & Path of Sorcery/Lost Grimoire taking care of magic.
  17. @cstarkey42: Can you compare Animal Tweaks to SkyTest? I have used SkyTest w/out additional spawns & Skyrim Immersive Creatures with Hunterborn in the past and enjoyed the combination. I notice Animal Tweaks is a lighter mod, does it lose what made SkyTest worthwhile, better AI & behavior?
  18. Agreed re- Interesting. All praise Sheson re- DynDoLOD. I notice Helgen Reborn has quite a string footprint as well, going to try 2 plays in parallel, one with Helgen for a warrior & one with Summset Isles for a mage. I'm also considering dropping iNeed and relying on Vigor's nerf of health regen to keep me hunting & eating food for health recovery.
  19. FWIW; I've used DSR in nearly all my builds (except when I tried Equipping Overhaul before it was abandoned) and have never found it to be problematic. I've installed Interesting NPC's on top of several existing builds, and it always seems to herald the script lag endtimes. This is likely because I've already got a scripted combat mod, Frostfall, Hunterborn, etc. While Interesting is very interesting, it is also very demanding & probably requires it's own pack (light on other scripted mods). You've definitely got more know-how and better help than I, but every time I've tried to build my house of cards as high as SRLE:Extended it has all been brought low by too many scripted mods. Food for thought, keep fighting the good fight though, lurking around here is teaching me alot.
  20. Deadly Dragons is pack of Neo's "Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition" Pack, it's wiki & support thread cover it. The mod is pretty straightforward & has an MCM menu for in game customization. Dragon Combat Overhaul can be run in addition to Deadly Dragons, or on its own. It makes dragons much more difficult and interesting, and may make the endgame dragon battle unwinnable, that being said I installed it. Use Mod Organizer, create a new profile with one or both mods added to your existing install, and worse case scenario you go back to the profile without the dragon mod(s) and start a new game. New games are always more fun, like pets & relationships, change is good.
  21. You can set Autosave in Menu to 60 mins in Settings (or change your .ini to: fAutosaveEveryXMins=60.000). Set the various "Save On" options to no & remember to manually save often, thats worked well for me.
  22. If I understand correctly, Disparity will pair with Pumping Iron and dynamically leverage your increasing mass as greater Strength. From the Disparity page on Nexus; ... "Beyond race and gender, a third option is to vary certain stats based on body weight. This is the value used by the weight slider when you create your character. In the vanilla game, this setting is only a visual difference and has no effect whatsoever on game play. However, Disparity will allow actors who look physically strong to also get buffs related to their physical strength, including doing more physical and unarmed damage, increased carry weight, and increased chances to successfully intimidate others. And, yes, these buffs will adjust dynamically during the game so if you're using a mod like Pumping Iron, your bonuses will increase as your character gains more muscle. Enabling these options will also apply the changes to NPCs." ...
  23. Excellent, I need to take a look at your spreadsheet as well, as I am adding many (but not all) of your listed mods for a new playthrough (I couldn't resist coming back to Skyrim, it's Game of Thrones season after all).
  24. 1st: Great work & many thanks for SRLE Extended, I love Neo's SRLE, the discussion & work here has really helped with my own build. 2nd: I was reading Tech's post on the State of STEP and followed his link in the section related to string count to spreadsheet listing counts from a great many mods. I found it very helpful and informative, several mods I thought would be low count were not & several I thought would be demanding weren't. Good luck, God speed.
  25. Free Fly on again, military ship sale, some good bits (like Loremaker's Guide to the Galaxy) in the latest Around The 'Verse episode on the Comm Link. Happy Tax Day (to us Yanks anyway).
