  1. You'll have to either use SUM and disable running BOSS before patching or make a userlist with overrides for the current unofficial patches.
  2. I'm getting the above message when try to edit the wiki. I'm not using a web-based anonymous proxy. I tried connecting to a VPN to see if that would help, and it didn't. I'm guessing it's just a bug leftover from our recent maintenance. Using Google Chrome.
  3. You don't have to hide them. I recommend simply moving them to Optional ESPs.
  4. Consistent Older People has two versions: One for Core for non-BOYD users and one for Extended for BOYD users.
  5. There is a brief text for the FileTree hiding, it's just somewhat hidden. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer/FileTree BOSS in detailed instructions tells you how to add it to the Third Party Programs. Indeed, this is done for all the third party programs used in this manner.
  6. STEP Extended is going to be separated from STEP Core in 2.3.0. Mod Organizer explains about installing mods in the First Steps tutorial that we recommend our users during initial installation. Many users may decide to skip it, so we might want to mention it. Perfect for section 2.B in the 2.2.9 guide. Things going in Overwrite will not CTD the game. We should, however, make mention of any mod that may put things in Overwrite. When you first install a mod with no game data at top level, Mod Organizer automatically provides a tutorial on how to deal with it. I would think that should be sufficient. You really think it's that hard to understand what the words Merge, Replace, Rename, and Cancel mean? It's NMM that is confusing and counter-intuitive on this point. That seems better suited for the Mod Organizer Guide. We need to explain that on the filetree template, clicking the little tree icon will tell them about hiding files. We do need to mention BCFs.
  7. Suggestions should be made here: https://issue.tannin.eu/tbg/modorganizer/issues/open
  8. Terrain Bump does not have a HQ option. Just the author has the old version file still in main files. The rest I've verified and fixed. The other three issues I've known about the last two but don't know how to solve. The first one (XPMS) I thought we had fixed, but should check. As to Wrye Bash, you should merge patches and check those boxes. Leave those two esps deactivated in MO, as they have been merged into the Bashed Patch. 2.2.9 is supposed to refine the Extended portion of the Guide. We are working on it, but I'm guessing it'll be a month or two. Main thing will be the forum software switch here soon.
  9. Probably best suited for the advanced guide. Most users won't really need this.
  10. The BOSS Beta doesn't work for me, and it is not working for you either. You have to use BOSS 2 for now. Otherwise, it will be messed up, like you're seeing.
  11. Either of these should work: "<ModOrganizer>/ModOrganizer.exe" -p "STEP Core 2.2.8" SKSE or "<ModOrganizer>/ModOrganizer.exe" -p "STEP Core 2.2.8" "<Steam>/SteamApps/common/skyrim/skse_loader.exe" The "Start In" field must be correct as well: "<Steam>/SteamApps/common/skyrim"
  12. Easy way to test that would be to type tg in the console to toggle the grass on and off.
  13. Generally it is okay to revive the old thread when it is the designated thread for the mod. That's why it's in the anthology.
  14. You guys need some lessons with shortcuts ;) 1. Make a new SKSE shortcut in Mod Organizer (use the drop-down menu) 2. On your desktop, go to the shortcut and right-click, Properties 3. In the target line, navigate to the middle between "path/to/modorganizer.exe" and "path/to/skse_loader.exe" 4. In between those two, type in -p "Profile Name" 5. Hit Apply.6. Play! GDSFan had it right all except for one thing, which my method above does automatically for you. The Start In field must also point to your Skyrim directory.
  15. Are you sure you don't have BOSS set up to merely tell you the correct load order instead of sorting it?
  16. Your load order looks most strange. Are you using the BOSS beta?
  17. Why would I care about the size of my save game? All I care is that it works!
  18. Ok, half an hour is definitely too long. I rather doubt that it can be related to LOD mods. Maybe your ini settings are a mess?
  19. I merely have no idea what could possibly be going wrong in your situation. How long is infinity to you?
  20. Nobody. No idea. Doesn't sound related at all.
  21. I really could not care less :D
  22. Extract using the Archives tab, right-click.
  23. Did you try https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer_Advanced#Migrating_from_NMM_to_Mod_Organizer
  24. I'll have a look, but I believe there is an awesome guide on Fallout Nexus somewhere that I've looked at. This doesn't look like what I remember, but looks useful: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44914
  25. Look at the order the masters are in for the esp. That is the order that patch should generally be (unless the author of the patch file didn't sort masters).
