  1. You can fix the warnings with one small change, but I'm getting tired of playing whack-a-mole...
  2. But the reason why is most important for creators like us. It is the little details that minimize problems down the road. Suppose we told users to delete everything but the esp file. Later on some other user will come to us having run Automatic Variants and created a patch, deleted everything but the generated Automatic Variants.esp, and then comes to us wondering why all his animals are pink. Consistency in this manner prevents potential issues like this. Also, if you delete the DSR settings, you lose any custom slot decisions you have made, and also have to relocate BOSS upon each successive run, which is rather inconvenient.
  3. It dumps the log to Overwrite.
  4. For a minute there I thought you were crazy. Personally, I'll probably keep this in BAIN file structure.
  5. Um, what is your problem? What is the error?
  6. Categories are discussed pretty in-depth on the wiki here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#Configure_Mod_Categories
  7. Packs are WIP right now. 2.3.0 is the release that will officially support them.
  8. If there is one in the Data folder, it will write directly to that file. You would have to either delete or move that file in order for it to function as expected.
  9. Yes.
  10. Oh. I didn't realize that.
  11. Well, the Extended Proposal currently doesn't have any restrictions on it, so technically anybody could edit it, so it can't be a higher editing privileges issue.
  12. I saw one of these trojans appear on the Nexus the other day. I wish there was a mod report button or something.
  13. There are still some stray links here and there. Is there any way you can query for all pages with a link to https://forum.step-project.com/ to get a list of pages that need to be checked? Edit: NVM. Search function seems to do a good job.
  14. The esp is the only file used in game, so yes, you could potentially delete the other files. I just don't see why you would want to.
  15. If you're on a x64 system, the current version of DDSopt will not allow you to run the x86 version. At least that's how it's been for me.
  16. Try clearing your browser cache.
  17. Ditto CJ Well, for example, if you had a problem, you could refer to those logs. Also, they contain settings, so if you run it again, it will remember, for example, what slot number you chose to put them on.
  18. I don't have mine in BSAs so I'm a little rusty, but I think you need to drag the HighResTexturePack01.bsa below the Hearthfires.bsa. Either that or above the others.
  19. Whenever you install Windows, always run the latest DirectX runtime for your system, as most of the time it is missing some of the files. I wish Microsoft would include the full package by default.
  20. It's working for me...
  21. Merged with original thread. Please search to see if the mod already has a thread before creating a new thread, so we can keep all information about that mod in one place.
  22. Right-click Overwrite, Create mod, from the entire DSR Patch's output, which includes the esp and some meshes if I remember correctly.
  23. This problem normally occurs when the Skyrim INI files contain some unrecognized characters. Try removing all comments from your INIs, especially quotation marks.
  24. Guys, let's talk about the mod, not about the modder's supposed attitude. Back on topic, what would be great would be to expand this to where the state of snow under the roof was dynamic, so as that after every snow storm the people would have to shovel the snow off their houses before it would be clear.
  25. If activating the ESPs solves your problem, the BSAs for those mods are not being loaded. Could you screenshot your Archives tab?
