I just noticed that the ENBSeries.ini wiki guide does not have anything explaining what "Brute Force" does, if your unfamiliar with it, it can be found in V0.292 under "Global" through the in game gui. Sometimes when closing the gui down wih "Shift + Enter" this effect can be auto toggled on I've noticed and my performane goes from roughly 40 - 60fps outside to less than 10, I'm assuming considering what I've read that this is indeed the intended functionality of this option, if so what exactly is it purpose ?

Renthal HD Flora all in one (Renthal311) Does not have an installer as yet but contains all of Renthals mods in one, which reduces folders. Renthal states that an installer is being worked on

There is another update on ENB it's now V.292 and in Boris' words I'm wondering if the reduced antialiasing in load screens will help to reduce the time for loads to happen, and how would one go about testing this.

DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)
Rebel47 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
@Shurah: Do you plan to add anything in the way of custom factions or groups, something along the lines of the "Shadow Or Mordor" game where they fight internally for power and constantly shift and change, That to me is way more important than simply altering how an already existing npc is activated. Is there any chance of that happening ? -
Thanks Jawz, I appreciate the informative response, while I doubt I will ever get around to using that addition it is always nice to know.

Will you be updating the guide to the latest ENBSeries v.290 that has recently been released ?

Turning on terrain fade in will give a hugely reduced visual distance, this is documented in the previous page in response to a post I made initially regarding my shorter viewing distance from the docks of Solitude, it will give you longer load times and slow downs as you get closer as it has to load in all the textures as they are drawn into your viewing distance, if you want to experience maximum viewing distance and minimum slow down I recommend turning this option off. The option your looking for is in your Skyrim.ini under [TerrainManager] the line you are looking for will be "bUseNewTerrainSystem" yours given your report will be set to 0, setting it to 1 will give you back the terrain and reduce your load-in slow downs

Are you using a sword/mace/halberd or other type of melee weapon to have the VATS cams show right on top of the NPC, if so I will need to test this myself and see if I can not only replicate it but also find a solution.

So taken from VRam if your recollections serve you right, that means then that this value is removed from the pool which skyrim uses to get it's 3.1GB value am I right, if so then a setting of 512 would be too high considering the game can only utilize 4GB VRam if using Windows 8 and up. I was under the impression that ENB circumvented this issue with the enbhost application, although I think enbhost and all other associated enb files are all 32 bit which would make them succeptible to the same problem as Skyrim with Windows 8 and up after MS' latest mishap.

I was recently asked a question which left me scratching my head so I'm hoping you guys with your extensive knowledge could at least help me to come to a resolution The question was..... I'm paraphrasing here but this is the general gist of the question. "would ReservedMemorySizeMb's value be taken out of Skyrim's 3.1GB limit of addressed memory or is that "ReservedMemorySizeMb" value taken out of it's own separate process by ENBoost just like VideoMemorySizeMb is?" I find myself now wondering what the answer is, does anyone have any clues ?

I run windows 10 and I am able to run the GFWL disabler with no issues at all, I also had no problems in getting the game to create an ini file for me, don't know what I did differently though.

The best game in Fallout series?
Rebel47 replied to rootsrat's topic in General Fallout 3 Discussion & Support
I never actually got to play Fallout 1 & 2, I started on Fallout 3 and I played it to completion on Xbox 360 and liked it that much I bought it again on PC and now thanks to the wonders of Fallout 4 I also have a digital copy of 3 on my xbox one, between 3 and NV I would choose 3 everytime, the story feels better now that the Broken Steel dlc changed the ending slightly, I never even got halfway through with NV before I stopped playing, I did try to get back into it recently but just finished the goodsprings missions and was already fed up so went back to 3. -
Having been using the wiki here for some time to help improve my game tenfold. I finally decided to register and only just today found this thread. Here goes, hope my ensuing autobiography doesn't bore you My internet psuedonym as you may have guessed by my username is Rebel47, the Rebel part stems from friends who insist that is what I am because I do things differently, the 47 is simply because after playing Hitman:Blood Money thanks to a friend of mine lending it to me and continuing on into Hitman:Absolution which I loved that much I bought it twice! I took the numbers 47 because they reminded me of the enjoyment I felt from playing those games. My friends call me Myk, yes I am aware it is a very unusual spelling of the name and have embraced it entirely though some of my friends still insist on calling me Shrek Being 34 I spent my youth playing on Atari's, Amstrad and Sinclairs and remember spending many happy hours playing a game called "Mega Swiv" with my dad on the Sega Mega Drive, growing up with games like Shenmue and the Resident Evil series left me with a healthy appetite for gaming in general. My first elder scrolls game was Oblivion on the Xbox360 and I remember when i first put the disc in I thought to myself "I am going to hate this game" but by some otherworld magic and many weeks later I was still playing the game. I eventually switched to full on PC gaming which wouldn't have happened were it not for a life changing event in 2010, before this I was a casual pc gamer having spent most of my school nights playing Age of Empires, Total Annihilation, Dark Reign and the Command and Conquer series. The time I don't spend gaming I like to use it to help other people identify and fix problems, I also love building PC's so I thought why not combine the 2 and started building and repairing pc's which ultimately got me into modding Fallout 3, NV and Skyrim which finally led me here to this humble gathering of like-minded people all sharing their passion/love for gaming with others. I don't think I've ever seen the end of Fallout New Vegas or Skyrim, however my aim is to one day complete the games so I can see the endings, I just need to stop looking for and finding cool mods I want to try

Paradoxbound, I'm also using Radeon Settings and you can indeed override Anisotropic filtering mode, I have literally just checked and tested this. where the option box is for Anisotropic Filtering you'll see a grey switch essentially, you can click it and the switch moves over to the right and turns a white color, this in turn allows you to further customize your Anisotropic Filtering further.

In your skyrim.ini (or MO equivalent) under [Papyrus] edit the line bEnableLogging and set it to 0, this will disable logging of all papyrus and yes it means no more logs will be generated, papyrus logging is in my experience not recommended to run with it on all the time, this of course being the result

Ok well I haven't had much chance to get anymore testing done as yet but I thought maybe I should post up what my spINI created ini files show as ultra defaults for the [VATS] section All info collected with the use of "getini" console command from within the game Always take caution when manually editing ini files and make sure to back up before making and committing to changes
-
It's honestly probably best to wait for myself and W to finish up on the [VATS] section and sort out the wheat from the chaff before you go ahead and make changes your not sure of, I went ahead and got the settings that W linked you to before which are a part of the STEP guide, I'll post them here for you just in case you didn't see them. Hopefully I'll be able to get more testing done over the next day or so, I'm done testing for the night as it's early am and I'm becoming weary.

Spent the last 4 hours testing just 4 ini tweaks, I'll post my results up here All lines listed in the spoiler below were tested on enemies in White Watch Cave, the location of the "Amrens Family Sword" quest near Whiterun. [VATS] bVATSAllowNoKill= ; getini command returned with a value of 0 (without having this line entered into Skyrim.ini) bVATSDiable= ; getini command returned with a value of 0 (without having this line entered in Skyrim.ini) bVATSForceRanged= ; getini command returned with a value of 0 (without having this line entered in Skyrim.ini) bVATSIgnoreProjectileTest= ; getini command returned with a value of 0 (without having this line entered in Skyrim.ini) All of these tests were done with spINI optimized ini files. I hope this information is of use to you in some way W, if you need any more information regarding these settings let me know and I'll do more testing tomorrow.

At present I am currently trying to deliberately break a mod's functionality for testing purposes so I care very little about the save I'm on, I can test these tweaks out if you were indeed seeking help.

ACCEPTED XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended (by Groovtama)
Rebel47 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I have been using XPMSE since it was just "Groovtama's" on XP32's page and having recently upgraded to XPMSE 3.67 I have not had any issues whatsoever, the update coupled with FNIS V6+ now allows you to select up to 4 ( I think, could be 5 ) folders to store animations in which can then be changed to "on the fly" in game via MCM, I think the differences between the 2 are not aesthetic at all and so looking for some in that area will net you zero results, I believe the differences are in functionality and versatility, I have spent so many hours just playing Skyrim with XPMSE installed and not once have I encountered what I would consider to be a long pause during saving, I do not use "quicksave" or "autosave" I find they are both detrimental to the health of my savegame so remain true to my initial manual save only option ( I do not even use Cipcis' CASM ) -
If everything is installed to it's correct directory then the "MemoryBlocksLog.log" file should be inside the folder SKSE found by navigating to either Data > SKSE > Plugins or by checking the picture that Nebulous shared, I just ran Memory Blocks Log for a good hour or more and it produced a log for me without problems, so perhaps Nebulous is right and your installation structure is not quite right, either that or if you created the ini yourself is it listed as an ini file or does it show SKSE.ini.txt as some do when created with a text editor. @ TechAnglel: I had always thought that the ScrapHeap should remain 256 but I still see so many people recommend changing it to something like 384 or even 512 and it confuses me how they can still be getting it wrong after so much work testing and verifying has gone in to finding the correct and most reliable settings.

CPU is definitely good as is your GPU, but the only part that seems to be lacking is the 4GB memory, iirc Windows (if indeed you are running windows) needs at least 4Gb minimum to run adequately so having just 4gb might give you errors or problems in general, What are your SKSE.ini lines, specifically related to memory ? I think the most reliable one to go with unless your running 4k textures is DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 Memory blocks log is an SKSE plugin which when run monitors the game for memory usage, it will help to accurately define what exact settings you should be running in SKSE.ini, when installed go to your skyrim installation folder > SKSE > Plugins > MemoryBlocksLog.ini (I believe, it has been a while since I used it) and set logging to 1 to turn it on, load up your game and play as normal for an hour or so, then assuming you haven't crashed exit out and go back to the SKSE > Plugins folder and open up MemoryBlocksLog logfile and there you'll see Block 1| Block 2 Block 1 and Block 2 will list in numerical form the amounts of memory used and if your game crashed it will list the last amount used prior to your crash. For note DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB at a value of 768 is the combination of Block 1 and Block 2 combined and the value of ScrapHeapSizeMB is the value of Block 2 by itself.

Just curious here but are you refering to the Crimson 15:12 version, I run that with Windows 10 and ENB 0.279 and never had troubles in Skyrim, but then I had DX9 installed from a long time ago so it just auto-updated everything for me, could be the difference I guess.
-
Even with DynoDOLOD you shouldn't be experiencing ILS unless you have a weak system, overburdening your system or you haven't properly enabled the SKSE.ini and ENBoost tweaks.
-
Ok well I noticed that you've opted to run with having the ENB pick your memory size, not sure I would personally do that as every time I've tried it always gets it wrong, I also noticed that your not running the latest version of ENB Binaries (current version at time of writing is 0.279), also I noted on the enbdev.com page that if your using AMD Crimson drivers you should try setting DisableDriverMemoryManager to true, I have yet to test this but it is said that it "may" increase frame rate, obviously YMMV. I noticed after putting that in that you have already done so, have you noticed any increase in performance or even stability with your frame rate ?
