DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)
Rebel47 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Would it be possible to ever recieve an answer to this question, I had hoped that Shurah would respond to me with the answer but no response was ever recieved, disappointed about this as I am I decided to ask yet again in the hopes that someone would happen to have an answer to this question and be able to provide me with the information I desire. -
ENBoost 6.0 Anticrash Heads Up and Question
Rebel47 replied to Sakr3d's question in Post-Processing Support
Technically if you use ENB V.0303 then this is automatically included and unless the settings are changed to values which are ultimately detrimental to the performance of your game then it should not cause any issues, as the lines are included in the latest enblocal supplied with V.0303 ENB binary. -
ENBoost 6.0 Anticrash Heads Up and Question
Rebel47 replied to Sakr3d's question in Post-Processing Support
Reading through the description and "reading between the lines" it appears that this is primarily a performance enhancing option which by all accounts should ''after it's updated more'' be far superior to the current ENBoost. As boris mentioned on his mod page, he has no real world test values to call upon to give an accurate reading on any system but his own, so he's relying upon the community to do what they do best and find the best variables for individual systems, whether this will help with ExpandSystemMemoryx64 and DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB issues remain to be seen, but that is something that could be tested by you or someone else to ascertain whether it is a viable solution or whether a more detailed workaround would be possible, I will likely get into testing the values/variables out in the next couple of days when I have some free time to properly experiment. -
Did you ever find a solution to your graphical glitches Neo ? I managed to solve mine by following this guide, Now I know it's for an AMD card but as long as you know the settings you need/want for your card the program it will ask you to download will work with Intel/Nvidia and AMD and it works in such a way that it evmoes removes all traces of previous drivers allowing for a brand new "clean install" which should help to solve your issues

The dreaded Pipboy Radio Stutter in Win10
Rebel47 replied to DanielCoffey's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Perhaps it would be pertinent to include information on the aforementioned "Option D" which solved both mine and Daniel's issues now, at the least it would serve as a means to an end and would help to cover more bases, just my thoughts anyway -

The dreaded Pipboy Radio Stutter in Win10
Rebel47 replied to DanielCoffey's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
That's the one I used yes, I think that becase Fallout 3 was made on the old architecture that it would likely require using the older files for the newer versions of windows, I created a system restore point myself and have actually never had to revert back to it. -

Rebel47 replied to DanielCoffey's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I use windows 10 and the solution that worked on a more permanent basis for me was the 4th option on that wike page you linked, aptly titled "Option D" I did that and it fixed my issues right up, obviously you'll need to restart afterwards, if your cautious at all (like me) then create a restore point from before installation so you can go back if your even the slightest bit unhappy with it. -
I have a similar issue, if I right click and refresh the entire screen will turn a pale shade of blue until I right click on the screen or sometimes minimize and maximize the window, I haven't updated my drivers or any software recenty so I don't know what it could be, It happens on the nexus too even facebook and many other sites besides.

I usually just exit to main menu and restart that way, but the answer you get will likely depend on who you ask, some recommend exiting to desktop and reloading back in, but I could see that as being extremely annoying in cases like yours where your dying on a near constant basis, if the auto load is the problem causer here then just exit to main menu and load the save again should provide a secure enough solution to this, however YMMV, wait for other opinions on this as many will have other insights I don't.

I had no issues with the Beta and one of these 2 updates is what caused it but looking through them I cannot see anything that would directly correlate to Skyrim and it's performance issues. Steam Client Beta: February 9th Steam Client Beta: February 10th I have also posted on the beta pages letting them know this is an issue, hopefully it will get adressed, seems to be affecting everyone and not just Windows 10 users. Yeah Steam beta is not a good thing to participate in if you don't want to troubleshoot everything every 5 minutes still it was relatively smooth sailing for the most part. Thanks for all the help and advice guys, I would still be struggling with this were it not for you

I'll give that a try, I have been in the Steam beta for quite some time now and never had any issues until now obviously, I would love it if that solved my issue as I hate running around with "EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks" on, makes me feel uneasy, I also enabled a osd to see my temps and usage and my cpu & gpu wasn't even hitting 50% usage even on the most strenuous parts of the game which was inside the Whiterun inn with iNPC's and Wenches of Skyrim so the inn was packed to the gills and still 50% usage was not hit and the highest temp was 70c that was my gpu Just tested this out before posting and here's what I did in step by step order Re-enabled V-sync Disabled "EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks" Opted out of the Steam Beta Started the game and loaded a save in whiterun where I had massive slow down and lag to the nth degree After doing all of that and upon loading my save I experienced my usual 0.5 seconds of initial lag as everything loads in but then rotating the view around with very quick mouse movements left me with no fps drop and no lag, so this leaves me to my final question, What in the world did steam do to so badly break skyrim like they have in the Beta ?
-
Well after disabling rapid mode and trying every fix under the sun but 2,I still had no luck, so I tried the 1st of the 2 fixes I had purposely left till last, kind of like a last resort, and the first one I tried was "EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks" in enblocal and would you believe it my fps was back to normal values, this got me to thinking, was there a mod that I updated or installed recently that would change it's file format and that's when it hit me, since I was 60fps plus I thought to try using Noble Skyrim Full pack instead of performance, I didn't notice any lag spikes until a day or so ago (strangely enough around the same time that Microsoft decided they wanted to update windows 10 yet again) and then turning my pc on the next day I was hit the huge fps drops and stuttering, I have yet to try if disabling vsync will solve it but if it does I can disable unsafe memory hacks and use a limiter with my card to keep it around 60fps.

Since caching on an SSD is not usually a good idea I think it's probably safer to disable it, since when I had it disabled I never had issues running Skyrim at all, I can't verify if turning on Rapid mode caused my issues but it certainly didn't help them. I'll do this and test and report back with the results. -Update- Turned off rapid mode and restarted the pc, loaded up Skyrim and the stutter is still there, I get it while turning the camera, trying to move in any direction, I didn't have this issue yesterday I was playing fine (albeit with basic enb w/o preset and SweetFX) and I was dropping to low 30fps and running smooth, removed sweetfx, reinstalled enb and turned on rapid mode and 1 day later it all hits the fan, one note to make though, I did get a windows 10 update when I turned my pc off last night, (configuration anyway) I wonder if that could have done this. It's not SKSE because throughout all that I hit my highest block 1 | block 2 was 328 | 252 respectively my ini files have remained the same (No changes were made from when the game worked perfectly) I'm actually dumbfounded by this at the moment.
-
From my testing it seems that rapid mode is not all it's made out to be, I will be performing more tests though, but simply put when rapid mode is enabled it seems to apply a caching effect on the SSD which actually slows it down slightly, despite it appearing to run faster than initially thought. I am seriously struggling to find anything on Rapid mode other than the arguements of it's good/it's bad, nothing concrete, If I find anything more out about it I'll post it here, since this could be useful information for gaming and/or general pc use.
-
It's not on my list of installed programs no, to find out anything more I'd need to enter the bios and find out what is set there.
-
Ok so I have an issue that I am having trouble resolving and would love to know what other peoples experiences are with this, I have a Samsung 840 Evo Pro 500GB and I turned on Rapid mode and since doing that I've noticed that my skyrim will stutter uncontrollably when turning even with the enb turned off, I'm not sure if it's related to Rapid mode or not but would love to see what other people's mileage with this is.
-
Thanks, that solved one of my problems now just to figure out the other one.
-
With your MSL I know that everything is placed into the ENBSeries folder to help clean up the clutter within the main game folder and to be honest it looks so much better, but is it also possible to have the enbseries and enblocal files in there or should they remain in the main skyrim folder ?
-
Just put this into my game, am going to test it out and check out the psychedelic scroll view!
-
I have never exited the game if I died, because I'm a forward thinker and usually if it looks like I'm about to die I reload my save which is usually just outside the area I'm in, consequently while I'm posting in the SKSE topic, does anybody know if there is an upper limit to the size of the iTintTextureResolution, or at the very least at which point it stops being high res and starts being pixelated because you've raised the numbers too high.

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Rebel47 replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I have yet to see a stable and safe way of reducing ugrids while maintaining game stability, I know that increasing ugrids usually starts quests earlier than they should be or cause events to happen before you can visibly see them, changing back down with UGridsToLoad shouldn't cause you any issues, but I would also at the same time recommend not using UGridsToLoad simply because of that memory issue as stated by Nazenn in this post on reddit -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Rebel47 replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
You cannot reducde your Ugrids mid game as they are baked in to your save game and any loading of a game with settings lower than what your currently using will result in crashes/errors, UGridsToLoad did circumvent this but it also had a memory leak issue that was never fixed, if my memory serves me correctly -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Rebel47 replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Thanks archer, I did think this was the case but I usually like to be 1000% sure before I make any attempts when it comes to Skyrim. Thankyou Sheson, I hope I didn't come across as dense, but I find where Skyrim is concerned it's always best to be certain of every possible avenue before making any changes. I appreciate both your replies and will start compiling my mod list for use with Dyndolod!
