  1. Discussion topic: Undeath - Classical Lichdom by ConnerRia Wiki Link This mod makes multiple bugfixes to Undeath Remastered. It also overhauls the Lich ability.
  2. Discussion topic: Undeath - XPMSSE - Strange Runes - Skeleton Patch by Nerudious Wiki Link Skeleton.nif patch for use with Undeath Remastered and XPMSSE.
  3. Discussion topic: CACO Undeath Patch by Teiresius Wiki Link Patch between Undeath Remastered and CACO.
  4. Discussion topic: Undeath Remastered by Antioch08 Wiki Link This mod adds a quest to seek out and destroy an evil necromancer. You can choose the "good" route, destroy the necromancer and sabotage all his efforts, or the "bad" route, where you still destroy the necromancer but also allows you to become a lich. A reward you can claim is the Staff of Worms, which allows you to resurrect a dead body permanently. The quest in the Dragontail Mountains takes you into a dungeon that you can get lost in. Don't assume you can just go whatever way and find your way to the correct location. You have to explore all the rooms, and look out for hidden chains hiding hidden secrets. There are several bugs with this mod, most of which can be fixed by using Undeath - Classical Lichdom mod. You also will need: Undeath - XPMSSE - Strange Runes - Skeleton Patch for XPMSSE and CACO Undeath Patch to work with CACO. Still, you can find some issues, such as a few landscape seams, "disappearing" walls in the main dungeon, some landscape glitches in the dungeon. Nothing too major. Also, a lot of magical NPCs will have a swirling magical effect around them, even when they are dead. One bug I have in my game is certain mage outfits are glitched, to where if I look at them in my inventory, the whole game freezes up for about a minute. I'm uncertain if this mod caused it or another mod. Whatever is causing this, I can't tell, and is most likely a script, as I couldn't find any conflict with them in xEdit. I played the "good" route, so I didn't become a Lich, so I can't comment on that. However, the quest is enjoyable and feels lore-friendly enough. You can gain a player home with it too. The ability to transform soul gems into the black soul gems may be a bit overpowered. I wish this mechanic was more like the similar Soul Cairn altars, where you could only use them one time, and undead rise up and attack you when you do. As it is, if you have 50 soul gems, you can transform all of them into black soul gems easily enough after gaining access to the altar and killing the surrounding creatures. The Ideal Masters I'd think would be mad at this ability.
  5. It's not really a big deal. Just an idea. I regularly kill the hunter that has a horse in order to climb up High Hrothgar so I don't have to stop and kill the frost troll at a low level. But, in order to talk to Klimek, I have to dismount the horse. After talking to him, I have to "re-steal" my horse, and I have to wait until the horse is beyond view of the town guards in order to re-mount him, so I don't get a bounty. It's just a pain, seeing as there's no way they could know that the horse was the hunters that I took. And I've been riding the horse for awhile, so why does the horse want to just walk away all the way back into the mountains?
  6. Typically horses you don't own do not stay with you. They walk away from you back to where you found them. If you could "tame" the horse, and own it then, that would be an advantage. And it would stop you from just mounting any random horse and immediately running away on it.
  7. In order of performance impact... 1. ENB (very high - try using a lighter ENB) 2. Tree mods (can be very high depending on the mod) You can sometimes improve performance by setting fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=8192 in SkyrimPrefs.ini under [Display]. This depends if the mod was built to utilize this engine feature. 3. LODs This can be tweaked with DynDOLOD. Using Billboard4 instead of Level0 for trees can net you a significant performance boost, and they still look great. Grass LOD, if used, can have its density lowered without too much loss of distant detail. I personally don't mind setting this as low as 35. 4. Grass mods (depends on the mod) 5. Shadow resolution (Setting iShadowMapResolution higher than 2048 can cause significant performance penalty. Lowering to 1024 can improve performance significantly) 6. ENB Lights (typically only when a bunch of them are on screen, like if there are a whole bunch of candles or similar) 7. High-res textures (typically not as much of a problem, but if you are reaching your VRAM limits, this can certainly help) The rest of these items I don't really associate too much with performance issues. Weather and lighting mods typically don't hit performance very hard.
  8. The Wild Horses CC allows you to tame 8 different wild horses. I wonder if the mechanic used could be employed on random horses.
  9. Following up, tried to repeat it and it didn't crash, so probably more due to fact that my save is starting to get old (level 82 character). Briefly testing the functions: Access horse inventory by pressing hotkey while pointing at horse - perfect Pressing the hotkey at any time toggles wait/follow Pressing the hotkey from a distance makes the horse come to you (follow). This can take awhile if he is far away. Pressing and holding the hotkey makes the horse "nearby." He spawns somewhere close by. Pressing the hotkey on the follower assigns the horse to the follower, but when I mount, the follower didn't mount, so I'm not sure what that's about. Setting the horse as Protected doesn't disable killing them. If you hit them with enough force, they will die. But they heal very quickly if slightly injured. So far seems like a winner. What is "home support"?
  10. Preliminary testing of this mod is pretty good. I like that I can do everything with just the 1 hotkey. I need to troubleshoot a possible CTD caused by this though, as I allowed my horse "follow" me, and then I went diving down into the deep blue sea to examine a shipwreck, and the crash log makes me think my horse was trying to swim underwater.
  11. Checking the plugin, no conflicts with STEP. However, it does take the liberty of giving names to some of the horses which were only previously named "Horse." I don't feel this is an issue, however.
  12. Discussion topic: Horse Stamina HUD - Script-Free by Parapets Wiki Link Should be a simple thing to check. Always wanted a horse stamina bar. SKSE plugin that adds the horse stamina bar so you know how long you can sprint on your horse. Accepted for 2.0.0
  13. I want to test this mod next. I'm not a huge fan of Simple Horse SE. Had too many issues. Better than vanilla, but I wish I could have it without the bugs. I like this mod's description, and the newness of it.
  14. I've been using this mod. Some notes: The horses alot of times will be transparent/textureless. Not sure if that is this mod causing it, but I never saw it before using this mod, so I think it is this mod's problem. You can call your horse and have them appear within cities, such as Markarth. I did this by accident. You might be able to call your horse in locations you shouldn't be able to. It only remembers the last ridden horse. This can cause issues if the last ridden horse becomes unavailable for different reasons, despite owning other mounts. Changing worldspaces caused an issue at some point where I lost my horse. If you use Arvak (conjured horse) while owning a horse, there can be issues with your real horses. There is no fast dismount like there is with Convenient Horses. In a pinch, this mod is okay. I don't miss Convenient Horses too terribly much. Things I miss: Horse inventory Talking to people while on horseback Fast dismount
  15. The game itself provides horse armor with the AE update.
  16. I had already made a topic on this mod, so I have merged them.
  17. The moon is a Bloodmoon. Perhaps you missed the moon in bloodmoon?
  18. You cannot go storing stuff in your dead follower's house. The game will reset the cell after a period of time, and you will lose all your stuff. You can only put books on shelves that have the necessary bookshelf functions attached to them. This is a game, not real life. You cannot stack things around your house like in real life. The game simply does not support this functionality. Vendor's inventory has no relevancy with the items displayed in their store. Again, this is a game, and it is not designed that way.
  19. Use this mod to fix it: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58263
  20. I just generated today, so I'll monitor the performance. Doubt it has much of a hit.
  21. Discussion topic: Extended Hotkey System by Vermunds Wiki Link Allows you to use more hotkeys than just 1 through 8 on the favorites menu. You can now map any key as a hotkey (even ones you shouldn't). To make a hotkey, you have to press CTRL + the key you want to use. No scripts. SKSE plugin. Not sure why this mod isn't more popular. Looks like a diamond in the rough.
