  1. This was the case with Skyrim as well. I'm guessing that the getini function has a bug that disables its ability to read the value of unsigned integer settings.
  2. Could it not be a bad bashed patch?
  3. I see no reason why it would not work.
  4. Neither would interfere.
  5. I really want to solve this bug. Maybe sometime the solution will come to me. ATM, I'm at my wit's end to figure out why it won't launch.
  6. Did you use a new game? I've seen these kind of bugs, and going away and coming back again seemed to fix them.
  7. Aargh. That was my biggest update. Using latest version, create a file called spINI.ini in the same location as spINI.exe and have it contain the following: [General] sGameName=Skyrim See if that fixes it. If that does, I'll just include that in the archive.
  8. It shouldn't be needed on Windows 10, as Windows 10 recognizes DDS files natively.
  9. A lot has changed since 2.0. Is that the latest version that works successfully? A lot has changed since 2.0. Is that the latest version that works successfully?
  10. Sounds like maybe your antivirus is trying to read it or something else is preventing it from launching. It only needs to be in a location that you have write access to in order to work (in order to create the spINI.ini config file).
  11. Does it work outside Mod Organizer?
  12. Version 2.2.3 Added check to ensure that spINI.ini is created upon startup
  13. The first thing that spINI does upon startup is create the spINI.ini file in the same directory that spINI.exe is located, if it doesn't exist. If that doesn't happen, spINI won't be able to run, because it will not know what game it is managing. I'll create a check to cause it to exit if that happens.
  14. What is in your spINI.ini? And did you try the new version? You can try deleting the spINI.ini and start spINI again to see if that works.
  15. Version 2.2.2 Bugfix: Game directory could be set to ERROR Bugfix: Video card name could be set to ERROR
  16. The EXE settings are hardcoded, so unless you can hack a way to modify those, they aren't going to do you much good. I was merely asking if you noticed inherent CTDs from disabling blood splatter.
  17. It looks like that got messed up in the guide update. I'll see if I can't fix it. Edit: Fixed.
  18. Could you send me the log file? Sounds like I might have a never-ending loop somewhere if that's the case. You should be able to kill the process via Task Manager in order to delete it.
  19. I bet you could simply load plugins with the sTestFileX INI settings. Hopefully it won't come to that, as there are only like 10 of those.
  20. I'm guessing I missed it. It is unlikely that Fallout4Custom.ini overwrites Fallout4Prefs.ini. From the structure of things, most of the rules and stuff from Skyrim appear to be the same. Edit: Ah, now I see what I missed. Read the AFK post. You seem to be off to a good start, and I think you'll find a lot of information, InsanePlumber, sitting in my INI guide above. BTW, do you know if the blood splatter setting is viable in Fallout 4? In Skyrim, it causes CTD upon opening the map menu. I've been working too much on spINI to pay enough attention to Fallout 4.
  21. There seem to be some strange things that are happening when running it through MO for me too recently that I can't explain other than that perhaps some of the things that MO does is hindering it from working. It doesn't freeze for me, but I get duplicate entries and weird stuff. I think I'll just redesign it so that you can point it to your MO profile path. You can do that already by manually editing the spINI.ini file, but I'll put that in GUI later.
  22. Version 2.2.1 Hotfix: Couldn't detect the game directory.
  23. Version 2.2 Added Tooltips to GUI controls explaining what they do.Removed the spINIfy button and function, replaced with the Default button. spINIfication is done automatically.Fixed bug that might cause the graphics card detection to fail. 2.2 should fix this issue.
  24. Uploaded a new version to hopefully fix some of these issues 2.1 -Now creates a spINI.ini file to store user settings -Now if the Skyrim.ini file cannot be found, prompts the user to choose the correct location of Skyrim.ini, storing that location to the spINI.ini file. -Some code optimizations
