torminater Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Discussion thread:Cutting Room Floor by ArthmoorWiki LinkIt enables NPCs, Locations and Quests which were not implemented in the game for it's final release.Looks good to me, other opinions?Accepted for STEP:Core 2.2.9 (pending issues)MT NotesCutting Room Floor MT Notes:EssArrBee - "Good reviews of this mod by members, Skadi had a good one here." To Do Notes:Evaluate what content is added and that it is not noticeably incomplete.Open in TES5Edit and check for conflicts with STEP Core and then Extended.
rootsrat Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Looks good undoubtly. Is it stable and conflict free though...? Needs testing, but I'm tempted to try it out! Arthmoor's mods tend to be more or less spot on.
TechAngel85 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Will need to be tested in TES5Edit for conflicts but if there are any they can be dealt with via the STEP patches that are in development. Arthmoor's mods are usually good to go without issue.
deathneko11 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 It will be incompatible with some quest mods that fix broken quests or add quests back into the game, so that would be a good place to start.
WilliamImm Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 It may have some issues with Even Better Quest Objectives - I only say that because I just found out that EBQO edits some of the unfinished quests.
TechAngel85 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 It will be incompatible with some quest mods that fix broken quests or add quests back into the game' date=' so that would be a good place to start.[/quote']As far as I know, there aren't any of those in STEP.
rootsrat Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 This mod conflicts with the following mods I have in my load order. Most are minor one, apart from the last one (Even Better Quest Objectives - as they both modify same quests): Audio Overhaul Skyrim (FormID: 00013A7C), ELFX (00071FFE), Consitent Older People (00013602 and 000D4FF9) and Even Better Quest Objectives (00028A1E and 0005A609).
TechAngel85 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Only the two last ones are a concern for STEP and it looks like they could be corrected in the STEP patches. Correct me if I'm wrong.
EssArrBee Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Yeah maybe 5 minutes of my time to fix. If you want to start preliminary testing of this mod go ahead. Any time you add game assets that already exists, (TSLRCM comes to mind) then please do. It is not like this is something new. Those assets have been in Skyrim.esm for two years now.
Solmyr Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 BOSS puts this mod quite early in load order, so any other mods that modify the same content will take precedence. I see no reason not to include CRF as it is very lightweight and completely compatible with vanilla experience (it *is* vanilla experience, just deleted before release).
swiftfoxmark2 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 This mod will conflict with ESF - Companions as it adds in the lost quest for the Companions and Aela will be your shield-sister in some cases for Proving Honor. Both this mod and the ESF - Companions mod do this. However, it looks like if your load order is set with ESF - Companions to sort after this, then it should be fine, as far as I can tell.
rootsrat Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Shall we consider adding this to STEP? It can be viewed as a fix of broken vanilla quests. It doesn't add any new content, it only unlocks vanilla stuff that Bethesda failed to complete before the game was released. I'll move it and see what people say, we can always move it back.
torminater Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 I like it, but of course, it's just some minor additions.
DoubleYou Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I'm using it in my own game at the moment. The only thing is that it makes the STEP patch files more necessary.
PioneerRaptor Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Another thing to consider is that we have no idea how Bethesda planned to finish this content and therefore it could be completely different from their intentions.
