Did you follow the guide from scratch after you updated the game? Look for a crash log created by crashlogger. See that mod's Nexus page for where to find the logs (should be in Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE, IIRC) You can try updating your video dirvers and disabling ENB if you use it.

Test with a new game instead of a previous save. If you want to use a previous save, then you need to create a clean save using the build you had played previously. Did the smoke test pass in the guide?

Use the [TERRAINMANAGER] fblock settings in skyrimprefs.ini. It's best to let BethINI set them using the High or Ultra presets. Otherwise, you can use the DynDOLOD MCM to do the same. -

This mod is essential for those using ENB, because the splashes are otherwise too bright, and only the tops of the splashes can be seen. The effects are not hugely apparent from the screens, but in game, it's really obvious. Without this mod With this mod See my post on Splashes of Storms for settings details. I'm not modifying anything in ENB [PARTICLES], as I see no reason to do so. I vote to accept this one conditionally if we go also accept Splashes of Storms.- 2 replies

I think this mod works nicely, and I like the effect. I'm using the following changes in po3_SplashesOfStorms.toml: [LightRain.splashes] RaycastIterations = 10 (default 2) NifScale = 0.4 (default 0.5) NifScaleActor = 0.3 (default 0.4) [MediumRain.splashes] RaycastIterations = 15 (default 3) NifScale = 0.4 (default 0.5) NifScaleActor = 0.3 (default 0.4) [HeavyRain.splashes] RaycastIterations = 20 (default 5) NifScale = 0.45 (default 0.55) NifScaleActor = 0.35 (default 0.45) All other settings at default. This suits me as a replacement for WoW, so I vote to use this mod. I cannot speak to Rainbows Remade or Shooting Stars mods though, as I'm not sure how to test them in comparison to WoW. UPDATE: I figured out how to invoke the rain/moonbows (set % chance and time of day) and the shooting stars (set time of day and day of year). See those mod topics linked from the OP for details.

This works as advertised and is a no-brainer. QUI AddItemMenu functionality is indeed broken in our setup, presumably due to the game-version update. While the QUI "stay at the system page" functionality works fine, there's just no need to use that, since this mod provides it with better game-version support. Tagging 'accepted' for 2.3- 2 replies

The 2.3 guide will make all of this simpler. Use our Grass LOD Guide for now if you want. Do not change GrassGID=cgid to gid in DynDOLOD_SSE.ini if you use the new approach. -
This mod is still a confusing mess to install. Supposedly, IMR2 is coming, so I'm removing this from consideration until the MA can provide something clearer and less volatile. I've no doubt it's a good mod, but it's just too confusing and volatile for us to consider for 2.3.

Thanks for the comments ... tagging 'accepted' for 2.3 They do catch the light a bit... like smudgy or dusty glass might. I like it, as it adds some realism. They probably don't have Windex or spot-free rinse in the game world- 3 replies

It seems now that enabling PC shield on back (in 3rd person) only requires the shield to be favorited. There's no need to modify the Simple Dual Sheath INI to get this. However, if you want NPCs to show the shield on back, the INI must be edited likewise (and it will only show such equipment on NPCs if they are wearing armor): [ShieldOnBack] # Add pipe-delimited 'Player' or 'NPC' flags to enable (e.g. FirstPerson|Player|NPC). # # The 'FirstPerson' flag enables moving shield between hand and sheath on the first person skeleton. In versions prior to 1.5.5 it was off by default. # Flags=FirstPerson|Player|NPC So I added |Player|NPC to enable for, say, WR guards. I don't have the time needed to test these presets, but it should open the door to many customization possibilities if anyone does play around with using/creating presets. This mod works fine OOTB along with Simple Dual Sheath, so I vote to accept. Anyone care to second?- 28 replies
