  1. Just curious as to why? Wouldn't any horse that isn't wild already be tamed/trained?
  2. Quite true. We only include them for the time being to support users who wish to add other animations to their mod lists. Our Animations mod group has always been rather light because these mods are so subjective to user preference. Hence we've mainly provided the tools and base requirements to add additional animations, if so desired, to the Guides without users having to jump through hoops or figure things out on their own. It should mainly be as simple as installing mods and rerunning Nemesis to accomplish this.
  3. This update makes no difference for us. The biggest issue with this mod is compatibility (really more integration) with other mods that make large changes, like CACO. The mod uses very "defined" lists to accomplish some things like it's harvesting from horseback. Since these lists are defined, any new content will not be picked up by it. There are other ways to doing such without locking yourself into a set of defined objects like formlists do.
  4. Mercy...I wish they'd put some "fluff" into these small updates. If they're going in to fix these things, take an hour to also address anything in those areas that could be fixed. There are so many holes, seams, floating objects, etc that they could at least add to some of these with little to no effort.
  5. These look fantastic from the mod page shots.
  6. You can see a compare on the first page. It's basically allowing better shadowing.
  7. VR is more taxing on your system, yes, but the Guides aren't designed for VR. I don't think any are being considered either. You can certainly try to use the Guide to pick mods out for VR use, but pay close attention to mods that may have issues with it. The Guide, itself in its entirety, wouldn't work on VR as far as I'm aware.
  8. For Step: Step SkyrimSE Guide v2.0 which is solely AE supported (aiming for first quarter) Step NMS Guide fixed and kept updated Get more supported game guides up and running In General: Skyrim AE. It'll become more adopted over the course of the year as it goes on sale and more users migrate to it. Authors will either keep pace or let their mods fall into oblivion. Collections. They will likely come out of beta for the public to use. I will likely ignore them because we just keep dumbing down the modding process. "Modding" isn't so much modding anymore as it is "installing", and that is the direction the community has been heading for a while. Will this ultimately lead the community into ruin or simply make modding common fare? The numbers of those that know proper modding skills has been declining over the years and I expect it to continue to do so alongside the community movement into "press a button" culture. Ending the year will be Starfield. I was really, really looking forward to this game. I still am, though not as much now. I originally thought it was going to be something like Freelancer (old, but loved it) or NMS in the area of exploration (although don't make be grind for tons of resources...)...basically letting players explore the galaxy. However, it seems to be set within a defined area of play in one or more star systems. I could see them expanding it to more via DLC, but it's never going to be the more open exploration game I was hoping it would be. Still...this is one I will be picking up for myself, playing, and modding. Maybe finally being able to purchase a graphics card this year since they're releasing the RTX 4000 series...amid a supply crisis, which boggles the mind. Hopefully it'll push the RTX 3000 series cards back down to their MSRP and help fill the market a bit (probably wishful thinking). Probably get another version of Skyrim...Skyrim Ultimate Edition...new textures and AI enhanced original textures...DLSS...fully ray-traced...requires ray-tracing accelerated hardware to play a century old game Z likes Requiem so you could see an addition to the Guide for it eventually. I've never played with it installed. Collections could kill Wabbajack. Though in the defense of Collections, Wabbajack never really took off in popularity. It'll likely chung on as it has been. Yeah...wSkeever really should rethink their "style". Fix the light system in Skyrim? Never going to happen. My understanding is that FO4 doesn't have the issue, so it has to be in the engine code. Would have been nice for that bit to have made the SE leap with the other stuff they back-ported into the older engine.
  9. Looking through the Survival Mode (CC) __ CACO patch, it would seem it's been design to only be used if Survival Mode is used, like the others. It purposefully cuts some of the things from CACO down to half without using any mechanism of switching the changes on/off. Additionally, I think the Vokrii __ CCOR patch needs to be updated. That's all I've looked at so far.
  10. So what you're saying is they're put copies of unique items around?
  11. I heard back from Starac. Posting here as confirmation that we can include a fix, if need be:
  12. No, but we've discussed dropping Oakwood in favor of Moon and Star. This is mainly because Oakwood is for "decoration" while Mood and Star actually adds content so the town has a purpose and the play has a reason to visit.
  13. Added instructions to mod page
  14. I agree. I didn't see any issue with those things. One soulcairn texture looks like it's mapped differently, but I suspect that comes with a change to the UV on the mesh. Updated mod page to also install the Optional File, since it would have been installed with the FOMOD.
  15. Do we install the DynDOLOD Rules with this one? The FOMOD has not been updated. I know the Step Patches have rules with them, so I'm not sure...
  16. I have split these messages into their topic.
  17. Just use the Merged option and sort with LOOT. This mod's BSA will overwrite USSEP's.
  18. I agree and I was going to look at the kryptopyr patches this run to see what makes since to incorporate (taking maintenance into account from when those mods update). I'm fine with that. Only downside is it just makes us reliant on this author for this specific patching. Your reasoning for Foundation is justified here.
  19. Yep. I just hope it get updated. I've moved it.
  20. It comes down to what you want to do. Personally, I don't like relying on other patches when it's not really necessary because it comes down to them being just like mods...they get abandoned and become unless. That is a significant part of why I just roll up some simple patches into the CR patch. The second thing to ask is, do you want to make it more simple for us or the user. I'm also gone with the latter, which alway meant just rolling up some simple patches into the CR. I'd rather do this than using every single patch that is available. It's just unnecessary clutter, imo, when the patching is so simple. So those couple things need to be determined before I can give you an answer. To me, these are not complicated enough conflicts to need to use the patch so the CR simply resolves and eliminates one more mod to download (this one) and one more plugin from the clutter.
  21. We never came to a conclusion, but there were previously two votes to move this to Interface. I still believe it should be moved there.
  22. I didn't notice anything from the update description that would need to be changed from our current instructions.
  23. No. They just need to be patched. SS should likely be overwritten in most cases. Yes, from this shot, I see what you are saying. If you remove the Smooth Shores the record would be an ITM. EDIT: This really just needs to be reported to LFFGM author. They're active and I'm sure would remove the edits when presented the evidence of the ITMs.
  24. As far as USSEP is concerned, yes, just skip that patch and use any others. The CR Patch should already contain all the CC conflicts resolved in regards to USSEP because I already did that. As for the other patches available, I didn't look so there may be some that are desired. As for permissions, you don't need permissions to patch records because anyone under the sun could do that. If you ever run into a patch with closed permissions, just do what I do....roll your eyes and take the 3 minutes it's going to take to manually create it yourself. That way you didn't use their mod as a reference, but you're doing the same thing in the end.
