It works differently on Windows 8. In Windows 7, selecting Never Notify will make all applications launch as if they were Run as Administrator. In Windows 8, you still have to right-click and Run as Administrator. I dual-boot using both.

Is there a mod that... (Mod Detectives)
DoubleYou replied to rootsrat's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Nope. You'd have to forward the changes in TES5Edit yourself. BTW, is there a mod that will prevent ANY messages from appearing at top left? -
I'm a numismatist besides a Stepper, and I have to agree with Z. Does Coin Replacer Redux change the textures as well?
-
Well, it should be; we expect to release tomorrow ;)

Maybe that's why first thing I do is turn off UAC... Unfortunately, that functionality is not present in Windows 8.

And it looks like it be #3!

What? Are you saying you don't want to use SKSE or Double Cursor Fix? The Double Cursor fix doesn't have an esp.

Remove daedric_phelm.esp, indeed remove the entire Daedric Armor & Weapons mod, as we're removing it from STEP 2.2.8. Redo 26 moon tweaks mod using the updated instructions. Run BOSS through Mod Organizer (your "BOSS Log" you posted is actually your plugins.txt, at any rate, it needs to be reBOSSed). Also, make certain you installed Closer Quivers using the NCC fomod installer (see wiki notes).

Show us your skyrim.ini I can see I need to update the wiki notes for 26 Moon Size Tweaks!!!

Marking as dropped since it was removed with the 2.2.7 guide.

If you're running it as administrator and it is giving you this trouble, I can only guess that one of the following is causing the problem: 1. You have a faulty profile. To fix, backup your profile folder to somewhere else, and if it loads, test each profile to find the problematic one. If it doesn't fix, it is something else. 2. Your antivirus is interfering. 3. Something else that I haven't seen yet.

Shouldn't we mark this as dropped now? -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
DoubleYou replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
But it IS on the Book of Silence page... or are you looking for the aMidianborn_Book of Silence_CCO.esp? -
For the Overwrite thing, I would suggest, right-click --> Create Mod --> TES5Edit Backups --> OK. (no need to enable it, just keep this around in case you need any of the backups) As to query info, it doesn't always work, as sometimes the mod author hasn't specified a version number for the file. What you can do if it is bothering you too much: 1. Find the corresponding .meta file in /downloads and open the file with Notepad or similar 2. Edit the ModID line to use the Nexus ID (in this case, 49032) 3. Edit the Version and newestVersion lines to the version number (in this case, probably 1.07) 4. Save

Bash patch is pretty quick. Shouldn't have to mess excessively with it.

DoubleYou replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Ok, changed to used the merged file, which also removes the spinning death animation from rieklings. -
If you're using Mod Organizer, you edit the ini with the Ini Editor.

ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)
DoubleYou replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Finished checking in-game, O0mix0O, and I got SMIM 3D ropes. Perhaps you forgot to select the optional when you installed it? -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim.exe - The Way It Should Have Been by Kahenraz
DoubleYou replied to Kahenraz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
You probably can decompile them easy enough. I don't believe he packed them. -
Maybe we should hold off on the whole memory patch thing until we know for sure how the SKSE guys will handle it?

Both lighting overhauls have their merits. ELFX is more complete currently, however, but there is some good movement coming out of RLO development, and I'm keeping my eyes on that project. I didn't realize ELFX didn't work nicely with COT? Smile44 has them in a Pack together: https://wiki.step-project.com/Pack:Weather_and_Lighting
