  1. The flags are supposed to be there. You should make certain that all lightning icon mods are in the correct priority position so they provide the correct files. In this case, Distant Decal Fix must have a lower priority number than USKP. In your traditional mod manager, lightning icon mods would have overwritten some files between the two mods, provided they were not packaged in a BSA.
  2. Installing BOSS to the skyrim directory (not skyrim/Skyrim) is only preferable so that Mod Organizer can automatically detect it and add it to the executables list, and so that if there are any UAC issues, it will be readily noticeable as it will be the same for everything, causing less potential for issues. I'm pretty sure BOSS checks the registry for your skyrim installation. Did Mod Organizer automatically detect your Skyrim installation? Or did you have to browse to the folder. And if so, is Mod Organizer pointing to the skyrim directory, or the skyrim/Skyrim directory?
  3. Glad that fixed it. Looking over the ini file, I really can't tell what caused it. Since that ini file contains all the MO settings, I figured that any bloop would be fixed by generating a new one.
  4. You're confused, and everything is working as it should. Yes, Unofficial Skyrim Patch is "overwriting" part of Distant Decal Fix, but that doesn't mean those files are now in Overwrite. Overwrite is supposed to remain empty. That's why for Dual Sheath Redux we had you create a mod from it.
  5. Try this for me: 1. Cut ModOrganizer.ini to your desktop (removing the ini and backing up at the same time) 2. Run Mod Organizer. MO settings will be reset. 3. Set up BOSS to run through MO and then run it. 4. Are the results different? Report back.
  6. What version of MO are you using? Are you running MO as administrator?
  7. There is no such thing as an overwrite "tab". There is an Overwrite folder. Unofficial Skyrim Patch and Distant Decal Fix will never put anything in Overwrite. This is expected behavior.
  8. I really don't see JoTN as being closer to vanilla. All three are very different. Love the new compare, and I definitely like Gamwich best. Besides, I'm a fan of Gamwich's textures ;)
  9. Seems clear enough to me.
  10. Colour Map Markers by Lazz A simple recolor of the map markers compatible with SkyUI 4.1.
  11. Duplicate thread. Locked. Please use: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/4932-please-help-with-overwrite-feature/
  12. Discussion topic: Step Guide-Community Mod Testing by Step Modifications This topic is for discussion and improvement of the Step Guide-Community Mod Testing guide on the wiki.
  13. I like the new textures. They add more detail and seem less plastic by the lower contrast.
  14. I've noticed this with the Merged plugins TES5Edit script and never cared to find the cause, as I normally do the process of merging all my patches into a single patch manually, and then add only like three plugins to that with the script. Never really had much success with telling it to merge a whole pile of plugins (like 30) and walking away without issues.
  15. Just installed this. Pretty simple. Love fomods.
  16. Just note that the rings option should probably be CCO version for Extended.
  17. If you have the error could not be resolved, there will be issues.
  18. I normally just use the sorting columns in SkyUI.
  19. What dreadflopp is referring to is mod grouping at bottom center of the left pane. Set it to no groups
  20. Last time I checked merging stats was working.
  21. Eh what? The Unofficial High Resolution patch is a dummy esp, so how could it possibly be missing its masters?
  22. I agree with you Tannin. As to improving the system, if the detection could possibly ensure that there are conflicting pex files, that should greatly assist in weeding out non-issues. Somehow make a call after your current algorithm for .pex file conflicts between the detected mods, and if exist, then and only then issue the warning.
  23. The warning is simply a warning. It tells you there may be an issue. Many times there isn't an issue, and that is why many have decided to simply ignore the warning. In the STEP Guide, there is no conflict, so the warning may be ignored. It is possible to arrange the mods in the STEP Guide so the warning disappears. The difficulty is that this can many times put mods in the STEP Guide and SR:LE in weird categories or in non-alphabetical order, so the authors/maintainers of those guides generally say that we have tested the mods and it is okay. I do think, however, that the warning detection could be improved. In many cases these out-of-order mods have no conflicting files, so changing their priority position in the left pane to match the load order has a net effect of zero. If this warning could be made so that it only throws an error when this involves script file conflicts resulting in overwritten script files, the warning would be more accurate.
  24. Thanks to Tannin's heads up in the news section of the new 1.2 build, I've added GamerPoets' video tutorial links to the Resources tab for convenience.
  25. You solved your own question, and I have marked solved. Relevant section on the wiki: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#Manual_install
