  1. There are only a few cases of script conflict in STEP currently, and all of them are against the Unofficial patches. The one between Thieves Guild Requirements and The Choice Is Yours is a non-issue as they are identical script files (checked via file hashes). Between all the file conflicting scripts, there is no conflict if you follow the STEP Guide and you use either the BOSS LO or the LOOT LO. At any rate, any possible script issues present would not be able to be fixed by changing the LO or the mod priority order, as none of the other script files overwrite one another and therefore would make absolutely no change whether we moved their esps around or not. The only BSA affected mods in STEP 2.2.8 Extended are as follows:
  2. Only the NCC installer of 1.2 was broken (same as 1.1.2). 1.2.1 fixes the issue. If you installed a mod with the broken 1.2 NCC installer, it is likely to be broken.
  3. For all using LOOT with STEP 2.2.8, you need to make the following adjustments (this includes all plugins in 2.2.8 Extended): This should result in the following load order, which works (checked via TES5Edit) Core: Extended: For SkyProc programs, if you disable BOSS, you will likely need to sort masters on the STEP Patches under LOOT load order for them not to throw fits.
  4. Sounds more like a Nexus problem to me than anything else.
  5. I actually had already modified the install instructions. I agree about the scimitar, and have removed it from the instructions. With the update it became far less clear on the glass and stahlrim swords, so I just when with the base mesh improvements.
  6. I do provide links to the first five tutorials within the Mod Organizer Guide.
  7. I believe this has been settled, so I'm unpinning this.
  8. An advanced discussion on updating Mod Organizer can be found on the Mod Organizer Advanced Guide here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer_Advanced#Updating_Mod_Organizer
  9. Overlays? I don't know about dual GPU laptops. RCRN can be used with ENB. It's not a very big deal to me if we keep it, because it doesn't even take up a plugin slot, but I would ask, why? It is redundant. We don't keep entirely overwritten mods around simply for posterity's sake.
  10. Okay, what modules of this mod are we accepting? I would say circlets, rings, and amulets, plus Gamwich 512 (or is 1024 better? They're so small an object.). With the Gamwich amulet textures, Jewels of the Nord should be entirely replaced. Edit: Actually Jewels of the Nord would still have the generic rings...
  11. The src folder contains the source code. It is not necessary to run. Also, I just tested, and can confirm that this mod is redundant with ENB FixCursorVisibility=true
  12. That direct In principle, I do not recommend reinstalling Windows that much...Also that d3d9_43.dll missing error is there because you need to update your DirectX.
  13. Yep, and its really quite simple! Simply download the latest archive plus the NCC downgrade and overwrite all. All settings, profiles, and mods shall be retained. More information on updating Mod Organizer is provided here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer_Advanced#Updating_Mod_Organizer
  14. Also, I drew my sword the other day, and found that evidently because of Animated Weapon Enchants in combination with AOS, I had the sound of a mighty rushing wind as if a dragon was landing beside me. Not sure though if that simply wasn't because I didn't have my patches active or not.
  15. Problem has been solved and this thread is getting off-topic. Locking thread.
  16. Is SkyrUI still 0 bytes? If so, extract and install manually.
  17. Are you launching the program using the script extender? Are you using MO 1.1.2 or MO 1.2?
  18. Sorry to confuse you, but I'm not suggesting that the NCC downgrade is unnecessary. I'm simply saying that the NCC installer should be avoided as much as possible, as even the downgrade version has some issues. Yes, all users should currently be using the downgrade version for both 1.1.2 and 1.2 beta. Which is an issue I've tried to emphasize, especially in my revamp of the MO wiki on the Installing Mods tab.
  19. If that's the case, why should we change it at all from the default? If the user is using a SSD, BOSS will take up a little bit of extra space if stored with the games, so it probably would be best to keep it on your normal hard drive. I think, therefore, the idea of installing BOSS to something different from the default is probably unnecessary.
  20. Okay, I thought it was obvious that it should be skyrim/BOSS/BOSS.exe etc. Evidently it's not, so I'll see about wording that clearer.
  21. You should hardly ever need to use the NCC fomod installer anyway.
  22. 1. Shift+Right-click the file/folder to be deleted 2. Open a command prompt as administrator (on Windows 8, WinKey+X has a shortcut) 3. Type del 4. Right-click in command prompt window and select paste. This should be the path to the file/folder within quotes. 5. Press enter And if that doesn't work, boot into safe mode and delete the files.
  23. I really don't like leaving the decision up to the user in a guide. I think the very definition of guide says that users can opt for different choices. Supporting multiple choices gets tedious. Users can simply refer to this thread to see the other options.
