Try this for me: 1. Cut ModOrganizer.ini to your desktop (removing the ini and backing up at the same time) 2. Run Mod Organizer. MO settings will be reset. 3. Set up BOSS to run through MO and then run it. 4. Are the results different? Report back. -

What version of MO are you using? Are you running MO as administrator? -
There is no such thing as an overwrite "tab". There is an Overwrite folder. Unofficial Skyrim Patch and Distant Decal Fix will never put anything in Overwrite. This is expected behavior.

I really don't see JoTN as being closer to vanilla. All three are very different. Love the new compare, and I definitely like Gamwich best. Besides, I'm a fan of Gamwich's textures ;)

I like the new textures. They add more detail and seem less plastic by the lower contrast.

I've noticed this with the Merged plugins TES5Edit script and never cared to find the cause, as I normally do the process of merging all my patches into a single patch manually, and then add only like three plugins to that with the script. Never really had much success with telling it to merge a whole pile of plugins (like 30) and walking away without issues.

What dreadflopp is referring to is mod grouping at bottom center of the left pane. Set it to no groups

Eh what? The Unofficial High Resolution patch is a dummy esp, so how could it possibly be missing its masters? -
I agree with you Tannin. As to improving the system, if the detection could possibly ensure that there are conflicting pex files, that should greatly assist in weeding out non-issues. Somehow make a call after your current algorithm for .pex file conflicts between the detected mods, and if exist, then and only then issue the warning.

The warning is simply a warning. It tells you there may be an issue. Many times there isn't an issue, and that is why many have decided to simply ignore the warning. In the STEP Guide, there is no conflict, so the warning may be ignored. It is possible to arrange the mods in the STEP Guide so the warning disappears. The difficulty is that this can many times put mods in the STEP Guide and SR:LE in weird categories or in non-alphabetical order, so the authors/maintainers of those guides generally say that we have tested the mods and it is okay. I do think, however, that the warning detection could be improved. In many cases these out-of-order mods have no conflicting files, so changing their priority position in the left pane to match the load order has a net effect of zero. If this warning could be made so that it only throws an error when this involves script file conflicts resulting in overwritten script files, the warning would be more accurate.
