  4. The screens from https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3765/? don't look that bad...
  5. You're looking in the wrong places. https://wiki.step-project.com/Consistent_Older_People
  6. I really don't see this as being close to the vanilla design at all. Where did it NOT change it? Certainly Cabal would be better if it existed, but this is not CORE material. Way too much deviation from vanilla. I'm not even sure it fits in with Extended.
  7. Consistent Older People is one that comes to mind on the top of my head.
  8. Maybe in your technique (I think you have a simplified version of optimizing them), but for the optimization in the DDSopt guide, it matters, as redundant files are removed and then placed in the HRDLC1 optimized version and not the HRDLC2. Most effects files will remain unoptimized otherwise with the DDSopt optimization.
  9. Actually you all are wrong. HRDLC1 Optimized MUST come after at least HighResTexturePack02. Why? HighResTexturePack02 will incorrectly overwrite HRDLC1 Optimized textures otherwise. I believe I mentioned this once before, but can't remember where. 10. I am not liking this mod. I finally played through with STEP installed to where I get this armor. It just is utterly beyond the vanilla style, and doesn't fit. Yes, it is HD, but this is armor that you received in an ancient hall (at least it looks ancient). And seriously, flowers on the helmet? What, is Karliah wearing a bonnet? Core proposal voting: Some screenshots I took using the leather version... This mod: Vanilla: Also notice the lack of detail, especially the eagle decal. And the armor looks all smoothed and waxed like a car. Indeed, that would make a good design on a car. But this is Nightingale armor!
  11. With the recent testing we performed in the Transparent Icicles thread, should we recommend users hide textureslandscapeicicle_n.dds?
  12. Cut and paste will work. Only thing you might have to re-set-up is download with manager, as nxm links pointing to nxmhandler will be changed.
  13. I suggest you make a new thread for such testing. This thread is already long enough.
  14. My harddrive is 5400 RPM, so I realize the difference between 10 50 kb files versus 1 500 kb file (just an example). And I switched during 1.2.1. And MO is up to 71 votes already. If we keep at this rate, it will definitely be file of the month for July.
  15. Never did that. For most creatures, I'm undetected until I stab them.
  16. Nope. Detect Life? How is that going to affect sneak? I just crouch and backstab.
  17. I'm actually having a load of fun my current playthrough, and everything is still challenging, and I still don't have any gameplay hardening mods in. I've been playing on expert, but have restricted some of the things I do. I never train. That makes it much harder. I always used to do the pickpocket-training exploit to level up and become ultra invincible really fast. I've focused on Conjuration, Restoration, Light Armor, Two-handed weapons, and especially Sneak. My sneak is over 100, and I have all perks. In order to kill an elder dragon now at level 45, I have to use the Spectral Arrow spell constantly. If I were to run up to him and start hacking him with my sword, I'd be dead in one or two bites, contrary to how I always used to play. Spectral Arrow is a conjuration spell that deals minimal damage but enough, but the best thing about it is it causes the attacker to stagger. This makes the Dragon forced to now shout and not go flying off. And enough about my playstyle...
  18. Took two pictures of this mod in a Nordic ruin the other day (rougher burlap):
  19. I will say that MO seems to process BSAs faster than loose files. It used to well-nigh freeze MO when I had my HRDLC optimized textures in loose files. In BSAs, fast as a blink. BTW, MO seems to stand a chance for File of the Month. It already has 42 votes, and it's only the first day.
  20. I think I'm going to go with Darksiders II, Just Cause 2, and Deus Ex. Thanks for the help.
  21. 2.2.9 isn't ready yet. Going to revise the cleaning guide so that it is shown on the "mod" pages. For now, it really doesn't matter, so long as you put it after the DLC.
  22. So, I get three free games through AMD Rewards. Thing is, I don't know which ones to get. Which ones would ya'll suggest? [*]Tomb Raider [*]Hitman Absolution [*]Sleeping Dogs [*]Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut [*]Dirt 3 (not considering as last time I played a racing game, I wrecked my car soon after...) [*]Thief [*]Darksiders 1 [*]Darksiders 2 [*]Alan Wake [*]Titan Quest Gold Edition [*]Supreme Commander Gold Edition [*]Dungeon Siege III [*]Just Cause 2 [*]Murdered: Soul Suspect [*]Company of Heroes 2 [*]Total War: SHOGUN 2 [*]PayDay 2 [*]Sniper Elite 3
  23. It is because MO treats BSAs as loose files that we have had this discussion, and why data BSA mods are now added to MO, as proper conflict resolution requires this in some cases.
