  1. I always use Adblock Plus. Even if I want to support the site, the truth is most viruses seem to spread through infected ads.
  2. I download and then move them into Mod Organizer's Downloads folder and query info.
  3. It was merely moved to Settings (first tab - can't miss it).
  4. As SRB says, both locations are valid. I prefer telling people to install it to the games installation directory because: 1. If UAC issues have been fixed for the game, it will be for Mod Organizer as well. 2. Mod Organizer (at least with the current beta) will not ask you to locate the game installation directory. 3. If you use Mod Organizer for multiple games, you will be able to easily separate which Mod Organizer installation is for which game, since they are located in the games' directories. Only con to this is, if you use an SSD for your game, Mod Organizer will take up space on the SSD if you install it to it. This will be especially space prohibitive if you keep all your mod archive downloads there as well. You can even successfully use Mod Organizer in Program Files if you set security settings to give users full control!
  5. Well, I"m at a loss. I still think it sounds like a missing master, as your description of how it CTDs indicates that.
  6. This started happening yesterday for me too. I'm guessing Nexus changed something, but I cannot think what. Will probably have to wait until a new version of Mod Organizer until it gets straightened out.
  7. Okay, I think I can improve the instructions a bit. In the right pane, go to the Data tab. Locate the SkyProc Patchers directory and expand the Dual Sheath Redux Patch directory. Right-click the Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar file and select Add as executable.Browse to where you have Java installed (usually Program Files (x86)Javajre7bin) and select Java.exe Enter a name and finish.I guess I'm so used to everyone realizing that a Jar file needs to be executed by the binary that is Java that I neglected to add that instruction.
  8. Delete the ../ before all your F:/ on lines 1,2,3 as there is no directory above the root drive.
  9. Downloads thru MO have been failing me as well just now. Going to sleep on it. You must activate DSR in the Left Pane in order for it to show up in the Data tab.
  10. Okay, it appears that this is something that is in my version (the beta 1.2.4) but not in the stable version (1.1.2). So, you can't change that value with the Configurator on your version.
  11. Mod Organizer fomod installer doesn't correctly handle priorities yet. Appears it might in the next version. https://issue.tannin.eu/tbg/modorganizer/issues/670
  12. Click the advanced button.
  13. Steam Sale: Skyrim Legendary edition $23.99 in case you are a weirdo. But seriously, for that one or two of you who don't own Hearthfires DLC, it's on sale for a mere $3.34. Dawnguard and Dragonborn are $13.39 apiece.
  14. SSME is another form of the Skyrim Memory Patch. You must use one or the other, not both. I recommend you go with SSME in your situation.
  15. The BSA is not redundant, as is evident by the fact that you extracted needed textures from the archive before replacing it as blank. You are not improving performance by doing this.
  16. Which would be entirely unnecessary if they had never installed this mod!
  17. https://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost
  18. Only the INIs within Mod Organizer matter. Also, it is not necessary to be changing ugridstoload values. The default is fine. It is in the STEP guide because it does fix a game cell loading bug. That is the reason for no instructions. Just plug and play is recommended STEP.
  19. Then you should install them, as they both can fix this problem (although it might not if there is some other reason for your CTD).
  20. Okay, are you using SSME (or a variant) or ENBoost?
  21. You have labeled your optimized DLC textures the same name as the DLC. Consider appending something like "optimized" to the name, as this seems to cause issues with the new beta version of Mod Organizer if they are named the same as reported by two people (I still need to verify and post bug report if possible). Otherwise, it looks fine.
  22. Make certain you aren't missing a master.
  23. Gog has Don't Starve for $4.99. This is a great little game. You can get the Reign of Giants DLC for an additional $4.99, but I'd suggest sticking with the normal version as it can be frustrating enough as it is. They also have Magrunner for free right now, but I've never heard of it. Can hardly beat free + no DRM.
  24. Origin is giving away Peggle for free.
