TechAngel85 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 The new NMM uses symbolic links. It's not actually visualizing the data like MO does.

Maybe I won't ever have to completely nuke my install ever again like I did with Skyrim.
rootsrat Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 How sad it is that a 2nd top mod of all times is a female nude mod, stragiht away, just over a week after the release? What is wrong with people these days, seriously...?

Guest Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) I was hoping those people would stay on ES or Witcher, but like Molrats they multiply and expand quickly. Mind you, I checked today and endorsements for my water textures were matching ENB Boost. I had to rub my eyes at first, because that's messed up! I have the gratitude to say, Boris deserves more praise here. Neo, I noticed you bought this? What? I thought it wasn't your thang? Kesta, Nifskope isn't like erotica to me, you know... It's so much more! Edited November 20, 2015 by Guest
EssArrBee Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I think we just have this new generation of people that have grown up and don't know a world without the internet. They get their rocks offs in the digital world. Take video games and porn and mix em together. I'm old enough that my friends and I were stealing magazines from the bookstore and watching scrambled pay-per-view, so I don't really care about that stuff. Different generation.
GSDFan Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 stealing magazines from the bookstore and watching scrambled pay-per-viewWow, flashback.

It's so much more!I received a generous donation and bought a discounted copy with the proceeds to give it a shot. So far I'm not yet hooked but still plan on giving it more time, perhaps an aquired taste. There are some major things I dislike with the game and it appears I'm not alone... thankfully there's mods to help with that. At least I can appreciate this portion. :) That being said... must... play... more... Battlefront... so epic. Having so much fun with that game just letting loose and enjoying every minute of Star Wars immersion. Actually love all the game modes as well which has surprised me. Glad I went Ultimate edition and can't wait for more. All my coworkers here at work are building new PCs to play the game so after Black Friday/Cyber Monday we will all be on the Battlefront.
Greg Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I think it looks a bit better if you look at the Top 25 mods of the past two weeks or the Top 25 endorsed mods of all time. I have no idea what criteria Nexus uses to show the top 5 mods on the front page, but I usually just glance at the front page to see if anything interesting shows up (like perhaps Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 - Purity Patches) and then check New Recently to see if anything interesting shows up.

All my coworkers here at work are building new PCs to play the game so after Black Friday/Cyber Monday we will all be on the Battlefront. That sounds wicked awesome. I had a lot of fun with Battlefront I & II on the console back when, very addictive & enjoyable game play, should be even better with all the co-workers involved. I intended to wait on FO4, but water cooler (actually around a water dispenser) conversations with co-workers convinced me to purchase early & I'm loving it. FO4 is immersive & enjoyable enough I'm able to overlook the short comings & just have fun with what it does well. When my initial enthusiasm starts to wear out I'm sure the community of modders & DLC from my season pass will reignite it, thanks in advance btw.

DanielCoffey Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I had my first CTD today (at least the first since they rushed the 1.1.30.0 beta to fix the sound libs) in around 30 hours of play. I was in Sanctuary stripping a pile of Raider weapons into mods and scrap when... *sploit* Desktop! That single CTD aside, I am finding the game rock solid, reliable and responsive. Oh, and by dropping God Rays to Low and Shadows to "medium plus a bit", I am able to play Ultra on everything else at 1440p. I adore the misty dawns but I do agree that we will need some slightly darker nights/interiors to force players to use night vision or rest properly. By the way... what Timescale are you all using? Default or something a little more sedate?
Kesta Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Yeah default timescale here. But i'm not roleplaying yet, just shooting and exploring. No CTD yet in roughly 60h of play. For nights, there is already a mod to darken them. Perfect with a ReShade preset (Cinematic Excellence is the best one I've seen yet)
Guest Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Meanwhile... Probably around 6 crashes for me. If you hang around just building your base for most of the game, it seems to increase them. I have had one not in my base and that was when I just fast travelled from my base. It's probably my 10+ turrets and vast lighting system causing errors. I sometimes have to move lights an inch to re-register them. By the way, can anyone answer me something? I want to do all the missions up until the point of no return for ALL factions. What are the missions I can go up to for each one? Can I also complete act 2 without affecting anything or is that a game ender? I just literally completed act 1. I'm finding the wiki confusing and lacking information. Thanks.
EssArrBee Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I've only had one crash and it was one of those crash on exit type of things. No crashes during gameplay. Probably the one thing that impressed me the most so far. I can't really get into building my base up to much. I was putting off the main quest and Minutemen quest until last night. That quest to retake The Castle was pretty crazy. Didn't think there would be actual boss battles. @SP, which optimized texture pack do you think is best: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1204/? or https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/978/?
