  1. This is a no-brainer for me. No bugs, and only replaces textures/meshes, so it looks good to me. Replaces only vanilla assets in current Step SE 1.0.0 I will install.
  2. I'm sure it's a good collection ... BUT ... It's a compilation 'mod'. Since Step basically does that, we prefer adding each mod separately rather than pre-compiled Because it is an assemblage from many different authors, we don't have any granular control over it (what if a mod author pulls their mods from public use?) There are potential copyright issues We just cannot use it in our guide, given these potential problems.
  3. I don't do magic much in Skyrim aside for 'tools' like healing, enemy detection, telekinesis, etc. That said, I have had no issues with this mod in my general testing. Given the description, I think it's a good fit for Step in that it incorporates some vanilla-friendly fixes and essentially enhances immersion/realism. I will place this same note on the new magi-related mods we are testing for Step.

  8. So far in my general testing, I have no issues with this mod. While I have not validated what this mod fixes, I propose we accept it and validate in production.
  9. I think we shouldn't use this mod, unless someone wants to use only the normal map. I don't think it's worth the added download, instructions, or mod page for such a sparse use case.
  10. Discussion topic: 3D Snowberries HD Texture Option by tritonforge/ Wiki Link Propose we adopt this and the base mod below for SE Guide (> 1.0.0) Also see:
  11. This is an LE mod we are using in SE. I propose that we drop this in favor Of the Embers XD textures. See screens on New Thinner Torch and Embers XD
  12. Disable mods and check again in game. I would begin with "Flowers and plants mesh fix SE Juniper Trees" Use More Informative Console to determine what mod is providing the assets.
  13. @Greg Hmmm. Are you running an ENB? This is what I show with Embers XD (Inferno disabled) over Step SE 1.0.0 with/wo Ultimate HD Torch and New Thinner Torch: I think the particle aura you are showing is from the candle somehow, because it doesn't appear outside at all.
  14. That's strange. Is it possible to pinpoint the source of the glow using More Informative Console? It's drastic. I didn't look at wall torches.
  15. This is a thumbnail constrained to 384x210. Clicking on it will show the full image.
  16. OP updated New Thinner Torch is only ever-so-slightly thinner. I prefer the Embers HD/XD meshes (dictates fire look/behavior) and Embers XD textures (Over Ultimate HD Torch). Also see Embers XD topic Also see Ultimate HD Torch topic
  17. I believe I have fixed this, so please give it a try again if you feel so inclined.
  18. The site settings were wrong (500 Kb TOTAL per user across all posts). I fixed to allow up to 1000 Kb per post. You need to run DynDOLOD to generate the 3D trees for your game if the 3D statics are under ../meshes/DynDOLOD/lod/trees/* in your mod. To generate 2D trees, you need 'tree' billboards, and they can either be created by TexGen 3 alpha for your particular mod list or they can be used if they come with your mod ... under ../textures/terrain/lodgen/* ... either way, you need to run DynDOLOD to get the LOD benefits. I always run DynDOLOD if my mod list changes with respect to anything affecting LOD. Furthermore, I will never go back to DynDOLOD < 3.
  19. No, Inferno is disabled in the Embers XD shots. Inferno produces the flames in Step, and the coals are from Embers HD. This is the case for campfires and sconces, IIRC. I think both the flames and the coals in Embers XD are better. You can certainly try overwriting the Embers XD flames and add those shots to the OP. I noted that I preferred the Embers XD flames in all cases though, so I didn't bother. The forge is probably only Embers HD vs Embers XD. Unless Inferno adds some of the particles, but I don't think that's the case, since smoke is absent from the Step campfire and present with Embers XD. I clarified in the OP
  20. Thanks, will correct that instruction.
  21. If you TCL via console and go into Markath over the walls, the cell is not being loaded. You need to go through the gate first to load.
  22. Huh, looks like we have been using Ultimate HD torch for a long time, and we (or I) must've used the hi-res fire effect version, which does include the mesh. Thanks, I will fix that and get some screens for eval that way.
  23. I should note that I am using the Lite version with the Lite beta update file. OP updated
