  1. For some reason people think the the wmk version requires the original but this is false. I probably need to change the wmk version to be a patch rather than a standalone.
  2. I havent launched wb in months but you may need to refresh installers
  3. Well, I believe the issue is that a "-" is needed after the topic id. Even though I tracked down a solution for what I believe to be the cause, I cant edit the page, which is annoying, I wish I could just edit it. change this line on this template page {{!}} [http://forum.step-project.com/topic/{{#show:{{{1}}}|?ForumTID}} Forum Link] to be this {{!}} [http://forum.step-project.com/topic/{{#show:{{{1}}}|?ForumTID}}- Forum Link]
  4. Things changed, I've been busy with school, work and fallout so Im not up on the specifics.
  5. Yes, it seems fallout takes a second to load the model, which it interesting because sound fx also stop triggering. The delay is about 1-2 seconds for me.
  6. I will concur with Tech on this. People can hack together tools for plugins but they are usually massive issues. Loose files are fine, nifs are a different story but has there ever been an official tool for them?
  7. hmm, this isnt something that one can really patch from looking at the records because the alternative textures are dependent on the MODL file. I can't explain it because its somewhat complex and I don't understand it completely myself.
  8. You can use most of those but its going to take some time to patch it all though. I think Extensible Follower Framework is one of the most common now I used NLA with Natural Realism ENB for NLA because I like the look and feel of it. As for lighting I use RLO because the fires are warm and bright but interiors seem dark but not too dark. Vividian ENB has a comparison of different lighting. Violens is compatible with DoD but if you are using one, Violens due to how customizable it is. There is, I believe it was immersive horses but CH is fine on its own. This is completely up to personal preference. There was some comparisons on a different topic. Nope, don't use it. I don't understand the question or I can't answer it. I don't understand the question or I can't answer it. This is another one of those personal preference questions. I can't answer this but there will be some consistences with other mods. These also may require some intense patching. I don't use combat overhauls because I like the arcade-like feel, especially when my framerate tanks for no reason. Pointless, no but it is different and doesn't fit the scope of STEP. I use it because there is a minor bug with footsteps where the priority isnt very high and the game will miss a few triggers and then randomly mash them in one trigger. Its not game breaking but can kinda takes me out of the mood. I don't know if this mod fixes it but I know I haven't heard it in the times I have used ISC.
  9. To fix the shadow striping, ya there's a fix, its called ENB :P
  10. The issue is the NAVM which is compiled in the CK. What are the side effects of not worrying about it? I dont know, maybe delete the info map from another mod and observe.
  11. Why hasn't STEP taken a look at this yet? Gamwich seems to be actively including more textures and they're all brilliant.
  12. I believe the tool is exactly the same as the autodetect. What is the main reason for not recommending the autodetect?
  13. lol, I believe this is what he intended. Don't you love when this happens, easy fix none-the-less
  14. there is no limit anymore, but I havent noticed any issues with the autodetect.
  15. oh this is weird, in a good way. I was going to give it a test but there is a lot that still needs to be developed but from what I can tell. Im curious if you know of a way to apply a certain change to other similar records, DIFF WMK is a fairly good example. WMK adds several new weapons that use different texture sets to toggle various attachments. DIFF edits the ICON to use a different, more descriptive icon. Do you believe that this is possible? How do you plan on applying certain changes to other records that are not direct overrides?
  16. Well, if hf is really sensitive to vertex height changes, I guess I could make a script that checks to see if the height has has been altered.
  17. It should only contains LAND records and those are temporary. There is however, one harmless ITM but the plugin is loaded so early, its not even worth cleaning.
  18. I havent found any issues when its loaded before HF and I used various landscape altering mods.
  19. I have a patcher for it even though its very rudimentary because all it does is take the final edit and apply the flag changes. Eventually when I get time, I could look into implementing something that is recursive or traverse through the children/related factions.
  20. I would concur, even CWO is pretty good. If I remember right, Arthmoor recommended it because he didnt want to touch the CW for CRF but I could be wrong.
  21. I avoided the prompt on purpose. I used something a little more advanced than what most people use
  22. If it was something about a dynamic link library then I had the same thing, eventually it became a non issue after some time
  23. I too received that error, I assume that its the drm. I used an exe that didn't have it and it worked fine ever since.
  24. When I made the installer for wao, I used recommended and optional as the types so that I can suggest a plugin but people can still change it if they choose
  25. Why are they not included? IDK but its easy enough to use Copy.
