  1. Big update coming. The archive is now split into three - armor, weapons, and unique/daderic items. Skyforge weapons and wolf armor is included, as well as the 2 handed Dwarven weapons and the updated Dwarven armor. Also, iron and steel weapons are a little lighter in the update. And we've got two thing confirmed for the next update: the Nordic weapons from Dragonborn, and the glass armor/weapons. I'm pumped. ... might take a while for the archives to actually be uploaded, however. Also, I will edit the Dual Sheath page to include downloading the Skyforge Weapons patch (along with a note that the patch should be loaded after the Book of Silence archive).
  2. The Book of Silence is going to be updated with the Skyforge Weapons included - therefore, when that is release, I will update the instructions for this mod to also include installation of the Skyforge Weapons patch.
  3. So, any other feedback on this mod? I have prepared a BCF for 1.4a (requires both 1.4 and the update) that follows Neovalen's recommendations, which I should be able to upload shortly.
  4. SMIM = Static Mesh Improvement Mod.
  5. I run two 17'' monitors in 1440x900 (basically, they form a 24' screen together) - however, I might be willing to sacrifce that for a IPS display, when and if I can afford the cost. For what it is, it seems like a good monitor, through if I'm going that big, I'm going to need a bigger graphics card if I want to run Skyrim + STEP at the resolution of these monitors... What would you recommend hardware wise if I were to go and get a 27'' panel right now? Do I have to upgrade my processor (AMD A10), graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6870), both, or neither? However, upgrading the processer outside of the Fusion line will require me to upgrade my motherboard, so I'd like to avoid that.
  6. Some recent suggestions that look good as well: Metal Cage HD - another skunky retexture. 4k, so DDSopt will need to be run to reduce to 2k and 1k sizes. I'll do that sometime soon. ZX Eyes - Recently made the hot files, worth a compare with Natural Eyes? Dual Wield Parrying - No issues, does not require Script Dragon anymore, and it fixes a issue from the vanilla game (that is, you can't block with two weapons)
  7. 1) There's this mod, but I'm not sure it's compatible with SkyUi. 2) No Combat Music does what you want. Made before CK release, however, so you might want to open and save the file in the CK first before using it.
  8. This really is only of use for the project if Automatic Variants is included in STEP, or another STEP mod uses a patcher. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Then what about this display? $355, no shipping costs, and you can buy it now if you want. Also, it's quite new.
  10. Heard from Coding Horror that you can shop around on Ebay and get Korean IPS displays new for fairly affordable prices. Try seraching for "crossover ips" there. EDIT: Maybe this one would be what your're looking for? Cheapest HDMI compatible one I found (there are DVI-D ones for less if you don't care about HDMI). Replace the Korean power cable with the apporiate one for your country, and you've got a really good display. Just keep in mind that there might not be OSD controls on these. Also, replace the stands with monitor arms, the stands are not that great.
  11. As you might have noticed, there's a new BAIN wizard for this mod (along with actual longbows). Take three guess as to who created the wizard.
  12. The patcher can be listed as a mod in Mod Organizer and it will still work if the proper directions are followed.
  13. Well, may as well say that I'm going to be working on a compatiblity patch for Bucklers - Shields and Other Armours. I'm also requesting that a compatibility patch for Chronicles of Steel be made, but if you finish the instructions for creating compatibility patches, I can do the Chronicles of Steel patch as well. That would pretty much round off the weapons and armor mods covered in GEMS, excluding Lost Longswords (still waiting on that) and the Omegared armor compiliation (I'd really do a patch for ARMONIZER, which includes that and more).
  14. Sharikan only fixed Headbomb's mod. This goes beyond Headbomb's origioal mod, and covers stuff that isn't covered by the USKP yet.
  15. Discussion thread: Weapon and Armor Fixes by kryptopyr Wiki Link Fixes a lot of inconsistencies in the vanilla weapons and armor. And I mean a lot. While I can't really use this mod myself, because I use SkyRe, I feel that it would fit the STEP project (which does not user any overhauls) quite well. Also, it's kryptolyr we are talking about - so she knows her stuff. Accepted for STEP v2.2.6 Mod Testing Compat plugins created for other ods currently in STEP (thanks kryptopyr) Verify plugin compatibility in TES5Edit (thanks Kelmych, WilliamImm, Neovalen, kryptopyr & W3aponiz3d) Verify against STEP in-game (just a note of support from someone playing for any length of time under a full STEP install) Will need someone to post clear installation notes for STEP. (thanks kryptopyr)
  16. Other than the stuff currently marked as testing, there's a few other mods that warrent attention: Wet and Cold - Ashes - Extends Wet and Cold to Dragonborn, and adds immersive effects related to ash. Since Wet and Cold has just been reinstated, this one's pretty much a no-brainer. Jeclredured - Spell Tomes - Nothing else (except for the HRDLC) replaces the spell book textures, and it's a clear improvement (no filtered vanilla textures). Another obvious addition. Ancient Falmer Armor HD Retext & Redone - This is stellar work. Doesn't deviate from the vanilla appearance too much, no conflicts with anything, and all around looks great. Check the comparision images I made. Sure, it's quite bright, but it's made from moonstone (which doesn't rust), after all. Animated Dwemer Lift Doors - Minor change, appears to work great. Never tried it, but it's quite popular. Mystery Modder's various retextures. Man's a machine - wonder which if any warrant inclusion into STEP? Smaller Ice Spikes - torminater recommended this before - but it missed getting tested at all for the 2.2.5 release. High Definition Ivy - since there's a 1k version available, this warrants a look. Neovalen uses it just fine in his guide. The Beauty of Skyrim - Caves and Mines with Hectrol's Caves - again, used in Neovalen's guide quite well. He recommends not installing the imperial dungeon and landscape textures in Beauty of Skyrim - feel like those mods are worth a look. Langleys Wood Metal and Stone Textures Workshop - perhaps it's time? Neovalen in his guide did very detailed recommendations as to what should be installed. Bit of a fuss to set up, but with a BCF and detailed instructions, that shouldn't be much of a matter. Trade & Barter and Weapon and Armor Fixes Remade - two Kryptolyr-made mods - considering his track record, I'd say they are quite good quality. Haven't tested either myself, however.
  17. Skyrealism ENB? That was recommended by both techangel and the RLO team. Cinematic or Vanilla would work fine.
  18. Actually, the general setup for patchers with Mod Organizer is to add the patcher as a executible by browsing for the patcher in the Data tab, right clicking the patcher JAR, selecting "Add as executable", then hitting OK at the dialog box. Then, at the end, run the patch using the executables drop-down.
  19. Either way works. I ran it after the Reproccer, but behind it works as well (BOSS sorts the patch under the Reproccer). EDIT: Actually, I retract that. There are weird issues if you run the Dual Sheath patcher after the Reproccer (like weapons and armors appearing wrong). Running it before the Reproccer works wonders.
  20. It should be loaded after all ESPs, including the Bash patch.
  21. Already reported in the bug thread.
  22. Also, which mods should be core and which not? I think Tail Twist Fix (like most fixes) is core for sure, but I'm not sure what you think of the others.
  23. Well, another admin inputed on it, so... guess this one's accepted.
  24. Looks quite good, actually.
  25. Dual Sheath Redux is actually located in M - Gameplay, not D - Fixes. Also, Dawnguard Rewritten - Arvak has been removed from mistake from the STEP modlist (should be added back), and Wet And Cold - Ashes hasn't been examined yet by a admin (next release, maybe?). Also, there's no anthology thread for the Unofficial Dragonborn Patch (wiki link links to the one in the Mod Suggestions forum).
