wanted Installing ASIS and SkyRe with some additional stuff
WilliamImm replied to Iroha's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
According to this post on the SkyRe thread, the perk changes for ASIS relating to SkyRe should be changed. Instead of appending to the [PERKSEXCLUSIONSSTARTSWITH] section, the [PERKSEXCLUSIONSCONTAINS] section should be appended with: xxxDESArcaneArtOfTrapping xxxSNESharpshooter xxxLIWOnslaught xxxAlterationAnimunculi xxxCONBoneMastery xxxCONTheUnending xxxFINTreasureHunter xxxSPETradesOfWar xxxSNEAmbush xxxHIWReapersVerdict xxxMARFlanking xxxMARProminentFlanker xxxMARPrey xxxLIWHornetsSting xxxHIWImpale xxxSPEMasqueradeApparently, excluding Geomancy from ASIS is incorrect - ArcaneArtOfTrapping should be excluded instead. But the short list should work - just add it on top of the existing entries in [PERKEXCLUSIONSCONTAINS]. -
STEP mod has out of order subrecords-- safe to keep using?
WilliamImm replied to Luinithil's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Given that the plugin was made before the release of the Creation Kit (which was in late February 2012), it had to be made with TES5Snip. And TES5Snip, even today, is not in a very ready state. To say nothing of earlier versions. I wouldn't use it. I could replicate the plugin with the CK in 5 minutes, but it's not a pressing priority for me. EDIT: However, just opening up and saving the plugin in the CK appears to fix it. No real need to recreate the plugin from scratch. However, a crafting only daedric helmet won't set the world on fire. -

There are also presets on the Lanterns page for Climates of Tamriel (version 2.1, but still). Should we use those, or the RLO presets? -

Actually, that update was released a year ago. I've yet to hear back from the author about my updates to his mod. -

By the way, author has been messaged with the new ESPs. Waiting on a response from him, or a update on his page. -

Well, to him, it probaly just looked better. Fitness Body is completly overwritten by Mature Skin anyway. -

WilliamImm replied to Iroha's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
By the way, Acquistive Soul Gems does not needs to be loaded after SkyRe in the modlist. It does need to be loaded after SkyRe in the load order, but I've tried ASG before SkyRe in the modlist and it worked just fine. -

Mature Skin does not have a femalehead_msn.dds texture - All-In-One Face provides that. The special instructions to copy that file to femaleheadvampire_msn.dds should be moved to All-In-One Face, and the specular map tweak should be applied to the blessed body. -
You can use the tag by itself to avoid having two really huge images clutter up the thread, you know.

WilliamImm replied to Iroha's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention: Dynamic Fires is a redundant mod with SkyRe. Why? SkyRe includes Sneak Tools, which itself allows you to extinquish and light fires (therefore, replicating the features of Dynamic Fires). May want to note that down. -
Also, what about these two mods? Ancient Falmer Armor HD Retext & Redone - much better quality than the vanilla issues, and author is really responsive to my comments. Argonian Sneak Tail Twist Fix - doesn't conflict with anything in STEP currently, and does not add a plugin. Even though it only affects beast races, it's a no-brainier fix in my book.

I'll report this to the BOSS team. Thanks for telling me. By the way, you've inspired me to make a guide for installing Mature Skin in Skyrim Revisited. Thanks for giving me that idea. -

WilliamImm replied to Iroha's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Here are my suggested changes to the patch section: Add SUM (Skyproc Unified Manager) to the files. Reason? Using this guide, you'll add quite a lot of SkyProc patchers - so may as well make the job easier.Remove the blocklist change to ASIS.Add these changes to ASIS, suggested by the author of Deadly Dragons to prevent issues with DD and ASIS.Add qotsafan's patchers for SkyRe - using stats.xml and blocklists from there. In the ASIS patcher, only check NPC Potions, Customised AI, and (possibly) Increased Spawns. Also, shouldn't Blaze of Eventide.esp be added to the Automatic Variants blocklist, to keep Blaze from spawning using a regular horse texture? Just saying. -

WilliamImm replied to Iroha's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Actually, it is, as long as it's loaded under SkyRe_Main.esp. Enhanced Projectile Soul Trap also works with SkyRe. BOSS should sort ASG correctly. And one more thing: BOSS recommends that you uncheck Automatic Perks and Automatic Spells flags in the patch options for ASIS, else crashes and CTDs will happen in game. Also, why not use increased spawns? It works with SkyRe just fine. -

Also, "Have a fun" should be "Have fun". Also, why not provide instructions to set up SUM? There are so many Skyproc patchers now that they are getting hard to handle. -

Thankfully, Beast Skeletons is a modder's resource, so it's fair game for me to modify. Also, why remove CFM Oni Edition? It works just fine for SkyRe, and it would be compatible with more mods anyway. -

Just a note: Beast Skeletons appears to be edited with TESSnip, and as such, it corrupts cell records that it touches. I will go and see about making a fixed verison of this mod - until then, it's best not to include Beast Skeletons in this guide. -
No, it's just a extra ESP, and it dosen't overwrite any files from the Paarthurnax Dilemma.

SKYRIMLE Ancient Falmer Armor HD Retext & Redone (by Barneq)
WilliamImm replied to DCS78's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The reason for why the armor looks very clean and white is because the armor is made from moonstone ore, which is stated not to rust, and you can only get the armor from a living creature anyway. Just saying. That being said, I asked the author to make a less blue version of the helmet for the glowing version. He's been quite responsive to comments so far. EDIT: Turns out that was a error with the helmet glow map, which has been fixed. New comparison screenshots will be uploaded soon. -

NOTE: OUTDATED. Better comparision is linked. Comparision time! (de doo doo dot!) In order, vanilla, rextexture only, retexture + ragged optional, retexture + glow optional. -
SKYRIMLE Ancient Falmer Armor HD Retext & Redone (by Barneq)
WilliamImm replied to DCS78's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Running the mod though DDSopt showed me that almost all of the textures were 1k sized - unlike my previous guess (only the cuirass is 2k). The second thing I found was that a lot of the textures in the mod were uncompressed - supposedly, for better quality, but I don't think I can see any visible loss of quality comparing the textures using Photoshop. I'll bring this up to the author shortly - this is my relevant DDSopt log for the textures. -
DROPPED Argonian Sneak Tail Twist Fix (by Callak Skytower)
WilliamImm posted a topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Discussion thread: Argonian Sneak Tail Twist Fix by Callak Skytower Wiki Link This mod fixes an issue with the tail of beast race characters appearing twisted when sneaking. Like the name suggests, this was made for Argonians (for which the problem is most visible), but it works for any race which uses the animation. The mod only changes one file - meshes/auxbones/tail/animations/sneakwalk_forward.hkx. As this mod does not use a plugin file, and nothing else I know of in STEP modifies the file, this would be a obvious addition to the project. Accepted for STEP v2.2.5 --Thanks to WilliamImm for the find -
SKYRIMLE Ancient Falmer Armor HD Retext & Redone (by Barneq)
WilliamImm replied to DCS78's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'll go ahead and test the mod, since it would be fairly simple to do so. Few early details: Does require Dawnguard (should probably be mentioned in the OPSame size as HRDLC (so, 2k texture sizes)Only conflicts are with the official HRDLC and the optimized version.Main file(s) only replace textures. For the purposes of STEP, the Ancient version will be used (as the author explicitly states that it is the lore-friendly version)The optional files are mesh replacers for the armors. Three of the replacers are for a CBBE armor replacer, and so not relevant to STEP (which does not use CBBE). The other two are for the vanilla armor - and both make the armor look supposedly more ragged. One also adds glow to the armor - I'll be sure to test with the mesh replacers when I do screenshots. Only conflicts for those files are with other armor mesh replacers, but none exist in STEP (though it might pose a problem for Neovalen's guide, which uses a few armor mesh replacers).I will take comparision screenshots of this mod shortly - almost set up my Skyrim installation. Depending on how it works out, this might actually end up in the project. Also, I'll run the mod through DDSopt to see if the textures are properly optimized. -

Except there were new ones that were not introduced in the BOSS masterlist yet.
