I did test this a little bit, but not fully. It really needs a video compare, but I don't have the time to do that atm.

ACCEPTED Burn Freeze Shock Effects (by pauderek)

Thanks! I fixed that up. -
I've updated the mod page. I hope Gamwich decides to package these into their own size groups. That file list is getting a little out of hand. ::

Yeah, I started the pre-load a little while ago. I was just surprised to see the unlock for today instead of at like...midnight. @Darth Our country shouldn't be the center of anything. It's not as great as it used to be. I totatlly agree with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMqcLUqYqrs I was specifically curious about the CK for SSE, but I seen some mods going up on Nexus already and wouldn't mind getting a jump on converting a few mods over (Jaggarsfeld and WATER, mainly).

I'm also reading this article: https://bethesda.net/en/article/25B2dGBtDacUaS2KOUsoMq/skyrim-special-edition-gone-gold-and-system-requirements By the sounds of it, SSE mods will be limited to 5GB on the Xbox and 1GB on the PS4. That's not much room for mods consider my mod folder is 20GB... Also, looks like it'll be available today for most USA users from reading the region unlock section. That's how it reads anyway.

STEP v2.2.9.2 Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
What "mod" are you referring to? -
The ground cover is interesting. It seems they redid those textures to add in more textures per tile just like the grass mods do. It'll be interesting to see what the INI grass settings are set to. ENB water still looks better than the default water here, from what I can see, but it is better than old vanilla. Take a good look at the water flow on the scene around 10:15...that is...impressive. It'll be interesting to see what they're doing there with those flows. Apparently view distance and LODs has been redone. It looks like they took a book from DynDOLOD here, though it doesn't look like it comes close to replacing DynDOLOD. Sunsets and Sunrises have gotten a good upgrade along with the lighting effects we were already expecting. They're not that bad, but the weather mods we have now are still better. "Fixed shadows"...guess he's never ran an ENB? The are VERY much improved from old vanilla, but have too much blur by default, imo. I agree with him that it does look like as if they're done some re-texturing and fixing some of the old ugly blurs they called "textures" in old vanilla. I also see a noticeable increase in parallax use. All-in-all, it's impressive as a default product, however, there is still plenty of room for improvement, especially in the realm of meshes and textures. I think as he said in the video, this game looks very good visually from the start, but mods are going to take it to a whole new level and once they're mostly moved over...we'll never need to play the old Skyrim again.

I've not looked into this mod too deeply. I like what it does, but we use texture replacers so we'd have to do a thorough inspection to see if it has any issues.

Welcome to the forums! Sounds like SSE could be many Windows 10 user's saving grace, including yours. Once most of the more popular mods are switched over to SSE, the Windows 10 users shouldn't have any more memory issues in Skyrim. This means ENBoost could eventually become obsolete. I don't think Boris has included ENBoost for the FO4 version of ENBSeries yet, either.

Haha! I'll be honest and I'm about to be slain for this but...I don't really care for Will Ferrell's movies. I know, I know...

Good to see you around, as well! Not many people are aware, but I was nearly on the Nexus payroll too. When they were looking for a Community Manager, I applied and made the short list of just 30 people out of hundreds. So I don't see that as a negative. Tannin is the head of the project, so he's running the show. I'm confident he will produce a good mod manager for the community...whatever they're going to call it. I believe the move was a good one and the new manager will be a huge benefit to the larger modding community. NMM suffered from not be feature rich nor powerful enough to easily produce a heavily modded TES game. There's good reason the veterans and advanced users use either MO or WB. Tannin will likely bring to the Nexus manager the complexity it needs, via "extensions", to get the job done. If they do it right, I see no reason not to use it for all your modding needs. Of course, this is all stated before the product is released so time will tell. As for STEP, we're perfectly happy with MO v1.3.11 for the time being. With SSE, we'll obviously need to find another solution. The only one currently available is WB-64bit. Once the new manager is released, we'll test it out with STEP, but that's all I can say towards it in regards to STEP. If it works and works well, then I see no point in staying with MO. We've only supported a single mod manager for a while now for both simplicity and ease of maintenance. I don't see that changing. If wet can us a single manager for all our future Guides, then all the better.

SKYRIMLE Vivid Weathers - a complete Weather and Visual overhaul
TechAngel85 replied to Mangaclub's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Sure. Just do this: Download and install VW (not the ENB version) and be sure to choose the AOS2, Lanters of Skyrim, and Lightning During Thunderstorms patches during install. The addons are all optional so use what you want. I install the vanilla rain option which uses the vanilla rain, but enhances it's effects a bit. If you run an ENB that doesn't support VW, you will want the vanilla rain option. Place VW it after the STEP Compilation in the left pane. Deactivate Immersive Thunder (it's no longer needed and VW thunder is great!) Active VW and sort with LOOT. Download and install the STEP Extended Vivid Weathers patch. Make sure the patch is loaded after the STEP Extended patch and you're good to go. -
I'm using MS Security Essentials on Windows 7 (definition versions 1.231.66.0). I ran BethINI v1.3 just the other day (and just now) without any issues. Just add it to the exclusion list if it's giving you fits for some reason.

1. If you're using a version of SFO other than v1.87, yes the SFO Billboards should overwrite the ones in the Compilation. 2. No idea about this one. It should be in the readme why and where those are coming from in the Compilation. 3. Ess was jumping the gun and added a few mods to the Compilation that should have been added with the next release. Ultimate Fire Effects, I believe are one of those mods so the actual mod shouldn't be needed if you're installing the Compilation. He'll correct me if I'm wrong.

SKSE Install - Detailed Instructions
TechAngel85 replied to croc's question in General Skyrim LE Support
That's the way the SKSE team implemented it. I haven't a clue as to why. I'm sure it's some technical detail that made sense to them, while making it weird to everyone without the "know". You always have to minus 256 from the number you set and that will be what the actual default heap is. Yes, it can be confusing but it's working correctly.
