  1. After reading that...I'll stick with WB for SSE for the time being.
  2. Hana can be contacted on Nexus under the name "Hanaisse" for future reference.
  3. Cool. FYI, Gopher said he'll be looking at water overhauls for SE in one of his next videos. Be on the lookout for it!
  4. I'm saying that is just a vanilla issue and STEP doesn't cover it. I'm not sure if that's the snow shader or it's just the snow texture on those rocks, but they're always like that.
  5. I'll send a message on AFK to see what Hana's nexus account is.
  6. Correct. If the two mods both call the a script of the same name, there are only two options. 1) Reconfigure one of the mods to use it's script using a different script name. 2) Combine the two scripts into one and allow both mods to call upon it independently.
  7. I didn't see shimmering besides on the mountains, but there was lighting in the videos that could be throwing it off. I personally think the textures look very good. I would be interested in a compare against current STEP and vanilla to see just how close to vanilla the author stayed with their vision...since it looks very similar, imo. I'm not sure I care for the mountain texture though. This is just coming from the video viewing, but they looked rather dark.
  8. Actually, StepperUpper sounds like exactly what you need. It's only available for Core atm, but turns hours of installing into minutes. The largest part is simply having to download the mods.
  9. No, problem! Glad you got it figured out!
  10. I've never gotten nor seen that error, and they sort just fine for me. I don't believe there are any rules for the two in the Guide, either. Tis an enigma. I'm at work so I can't be of much help atm.
  11. USSEP updated again with more similar fixes. Perhaps you should contact Hanna from that team. Hanna is the one that deals with the meshes over there.
  12. Note that there are some rare exceptions to what DY said, but for the most part that will work as long as MO is the default nxm handler. For instance, BethINI could not find my installations because of how I have my two MO installs set up. I have two installations in the same Skyrim directory. One install is for gaming. The other is for my mod development. Fringe case, I know, but it's good to know what you could run into if you're developing tools.
  13. MO doesn't work with SSE. MO2 might, but I've read it has issues. Right now Wrye Bash SE is the best choice for modding SSE.
  14. Yes, I regular use between 1.5GB to 2.5GB while just using STEP. Keep in mind that your Reserved memory set in enblocal.ini will be using up the amount you have it set to. This is why setting it as low as possible without suffering issues is recommended.
  15. Yes, all plugins should remain enabled until the end of the Guide. DynDOLOD will also need all plugins enabled. Even the dummy plugins.
  16. 1K texture resolution when downloading mods. Most texture mods will have a couple sizes available. Stick to 1K and below. HRDLC = high resolution DLC.
  17. Well so far I've simply been letting GeForce Experience decide what it thinks the card can handle and it's mainly using a mix of settings. I play on Ultra in old Skyrim. Here are the settings GE set as "Optimal":

    Trump

I'm a Christian, gay, and believe the Earth is several million to billions of years old. Most religious folk would tell me that's impossible. The point I'm making here without getting off track is even among religions there are varying views so saying or thinking it's a "Christian" thing is a fallacy.

Honestly, I think if things don't improve politically within the next...say 10 years, we could see an overthrow of the government as our constitution allows for it. I think Z got a lot of it right. Trump was the "rebellion" vote against our current political and financial situation. I've heard many people say that Trump may be a terrible choice, but he's not an idiot and he is a brilliant business man that could help solve our $19 trillion debt.
  20. I agree. You're going to struggle a bit with that video card. The next Guide release has the requirements better fleshed out and the minimum card is a 660 with 2GB VRAM. Definitely run BethINI for medium preset. You can rerun it later for High preset if your FPS is okay after playing a while. Also, make sure you're capping textures at 1K. I would even forego the HRDLC.
  21. I know I've heard other users having some issues with SMAA; however, my experience has always been golden. I never had any AA issues in Skyrim. SSE is the same, but that blur...I'd much rather have the sharpness. Modified? Modified how? I like verdant for Skyrim, but I'm not sure I'd want to push it on SSE. I'm still running my GTX 760 and until now I've not had any reason to upgrade it.
  22. I hate the blur from TAA. I had just as good AA from SMAA in Skyrim. I have yet to try SMAA with SSE. The mods not having the forwarded records is mostly due to users or author doing simple ports rather than taking the time to actually do a proper job with the port and releasing a quality product. I've been running into sine of this as well, and it sort of grinds my gears as an author myself.
  23. The STEP Patches are installed with the STEP Compilations.

Haha! So epic I'm leaving it.
