  1. BethINI automatically detects it based on the contents of the Enderal generated INI file.
  2. It can be run at any time, although it is recommended to not do so mid-playthrough, as some settings can "stick." if you use it before installing mods/ENB, auto detection shall not work, but that isn't a big deal if you simply go through the GUI and make the changes manually.
  3. Don't let entitlement users get you down. This is awesome! Wish you luck on transforming the modding community with the new tool!
  4. Sounds like the bugs you experience when you disable autosaves.
  5. Currently that tweak is implemented via the Recommended Tweaks. I should add this to the Gameplay tab, so I will see about it. 1. I merely haven't gotten that far yet. 2. There is a technical reason for this, and it affects all the games. It is because the in-game settings change only one setting, and I change multiple settings. Because of this, I change the setting that adjusts the in-game settings so that opening and closing the in-game settings doesn't revert my changes to default values, which is why it looks strange. I do this because you can adjust the fade distances to go much farther than what you can normally. Let me give an example, since that explanation is very confusing. Grass Fade Grass fade in the in-game settings gives you a range, between fGrassMinStartFadeDistance and fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance, that it can change fGrassStartFadeDistance. So in effect, fGrassStartFadeDistance should be the only setting that affects how far grass goes. However, that is only the Start Fade Distance. Beyond that you have the fGrassFadeRange, which is the distance that grass fades away from the fGrassStartFadeDistance. It has almost a slight tapering effect, which is very nice on removing grass pop-in. By default, fGrassFadeRange is set to 1000. This is typically fine when you only go the original max distance of 7000. However, once you start raising fGrassStartFadeDistance beyond that, the grass doesn't typically load fast enough, and causes it to pop into view. Also, there is a bug where fGrassMinStartFadeDistance eats up fGrassStartFadeDistance if it is set to anything above 0, but this is beside the point. The fact is, I change all four values, fGrassMinStartFadeDistance, fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance, fGrassStartFadeDistance, and fGrassFadeRange to arrive at the actual grass fade distance. This is done mathematically based on the value the user chooses, and in the in-game settings, this naturally looks quite strange. However, what you need to see is that you can in this way increase grass fade distance much farther without having grass pop-in and the like. Now each of the Fades you mention tend to have their own peculiar quirks, so you cannot apply the above exactly to all of them, but this should help.
  6. Simple. The setting does not exist. It was merely assumed to exist since people associate it with its bow and arrow counterpart.
  7. Have you tried version 2 of Mod Organizer? It hooks differently and could possibly make a difference.
  8. That looks to be all right to me. Skyrim simply is not needing to use any more of your GPU.
  9. Wow. I didn't even realize that. It's come a long way since then.
  10. It normally is for when you have multiple displays, like two monitors, or if a separate virtual monitor is detected.
  11. Install the Creation Kit through Steam. In Steam, click Games, select Tools, find the Creation Kit, and install it.
  12. Version 1.3 -Optimized the width of tooltips -Fixed FXAA tooltip not showing -Added more info to the preset tooltips, giving a rough guideline on when each preset should be employed -Added the INI settings modified to tooltips where relevant
  13. Uploaded v1.2 -Added built-in backup restoration to the Setup tab. Users who wish to revert changes or who decide they were better off before using my tool can go back in time to their old crappy INI files at the click of a button! -Added the ability to set the INI files to read-only upon saving, toggleable in the Setup tab. If your main INI file (e.g., Skyrim.ini) is set to read-only upon launch, this option shall automatically be ticked. -Added dialogue subtitles and general subtitles to the Interface tab. -Bugfix: It was possible to get an error message when hovering over the links in the Setup tab. This should be fixed now. -Removed the "Miscellaneous" headline under Interface, as it is unnecessary and wasting space.
  14. Map menu crashes can happen due to bad INIs as well.
  15. I have been using this forever, so I already can vote yes.
  16. Disable whatever mod is providing your torch.
  17. I also vote yes.
  18. Turn anisotropic filtering on at 8 or 16 samples either in the game INI, the enb INI, or forced override in your graphics driver.
  19. You got mod priorities in the wrong positions. Dawnguard and USLEEP need moved way up for starters.
  20. Try using BethINI medium preset.
  21. It is easier and probably safer to simply copy the game files back into the data folder. Other than that, it's a good video.
  22. @azzendix That would do it. It should never be run via Mod Organizer. @crushboss You can change that manually if you like, but it isn't necessary. Look back in this thread for the reason for the change. I will be adding that read-only feature, hopefully next update.
  23. This happened to me once when the file got corrupted somehow. I suggest verifying your cache to make sure that isn't what happened.
  24. Could you show me what the following two files in your Skyrim folder contain: Skyrim_default.ini Skyrim\SkyrimPrefs.ini I use these two original game files to generate the INI files, and if they do not exist or have been modified, it can fail. This can also happen if the path to your Skyrim game folder is set incorrectly under Setup. From the logs, however, it does appear that Anisotropic filtering is being set correctly, just other settings are not being handled correctly due to missing parameters from there being no default settings applied. Another possibility is you may be clicking things too fast. You may get this kind of problem simply from not waiting for the process to complete fully after each click.
