  1. I believe that the setting was added in the beta from the post. I only will support the release versions, however.
  2. Thanks for the report! This should be an easy thing to fix, likely only one line of code. It is a very easy tweak to implement, so I may add it.
  3. Since BethINI is a multi-game utility, there is little incentive to duplicate it on the Skyrim Special Edition site, as that merely creates more work for me.
  4. 2.0Beta -Update text now says "Your choice." instead of "You're choice." -Added the Fallout 4 sprinting fix to Gameplay and to the Recommended Fixes. -Mouse Y-scale is now set to 0.042 as part of the Recommended Fixes for Fallout 4. -The "Show Quest Markers" toggle does exist for Fallout 4, and BethINI now recognizes this fact. -Changing the "uGrids" GUI setting now sets uExterior Cell Buffer to the appropriate value. -Controversial tweaks shall now detect uGridsToLoad for all games if set to something other than default (5). -iGrassCellRadius shall be automatically set to the correct value for Fallout 4. -Added Skyrim Special Edition support. Please notify me of any bugs. Please note that while I have included custom BethINI presets for Skyrim Special Edition, they are not complete and not thoroughly tested!
  5. FYI, turning off Grass Shadows via bShadowsOnGrass in Skyrim.ini disables grass, which means that grass shadows are forced.
  6. These are the settings that are probably SSR related: Skyrim.ini [Display] bDownSampleNormalSSR=1 fWaterSSRBlurAmount=0.3000 fWaterSSRIntensity=1.3000 fWaterSSRNormalPerturbationScale=0.0500SkyrimPrefs.ini [Display] bScreenSpaceReflectionEnabled=1
  7. Yes, that is how it worked before, but it now adds the navmesh section, which is invalid.
  8. Interesting. I might have to test that out some time. Something I will note: Default for fMaxTime is more accurately 0.0166666675. There is another similar value, fMaxTimeComplex, that is exactly double that of fMaxTime at 0.0333333351 Therefore, there is a lot more into this, I would suggest, then simply one value. Also, I'm not sure how it might affect scripts Another setting that may have an impact: [Animation] fMaxFrameCounterDifferenceToConsiderVisible=0.0666666701 Notice that this value is 4 times the value of fMaxTime. Therefore, you could test this: 120fps [Animation] fMaxFrameCounterDifferenceToConsiderVisible=0.0333333351 [HAVOK] fMaxTime=0.008333333775 fMaxTimeComplex=0.01666666755 Edit: Also note that the author's "Ultimate Skyrim.INI disambiguation" should be taken with some salt. While some are accurately described, some function differently (e.g. bBackgroundMouse) and a very few don't even exist (e.g. bPerPixelLighting).
  9. I see that now. It is something else that is limiting draw distance that I need to figure out.
  10. To quit without exit save, simply open the console, type qqq, and hit enter.
  11. Not sure. Not having a correct SkyrimPrefs.ini is extremely annoying, as they changed saveini to using a false base. If anyone can figure out how to get a real complete SkyrimPrefs.ini I would be obliged. Why they broke the grass is beyond me. It works great in original and Fallout 4 with tweaks, but you have a horrible line of pop-in in SSE. I probably will try to get something put together.
  12. After playing a bit, I realized that modded original skyrim kicks SSE's butt all the way around the moon and back, in every way. Therefore, I have decided that I am not even going to waste my time on it. I can't find a single thing in its favor for the PC. I can mod the heck out of the original, add an ENB, add crash Fixes, run my BethINI, and get better graphics, better stability, better performance, and more personal satisfaction. SSE needs some serious fixing by the modding community before it is even worth the time of day. That and I am slowly finding myself pulling away from serious gaming and focusing on my real life, which kicks all of the above around the universe and back.
  13. One very major drawback for me is they removed the effect of fGrassFadeRange :( Now I have to experience the horrible grass pop-in and I can find no recourse as of yet.
  14. I have tested, and can confirm that the old 255 character limit for values has been removed, most likely due to the program now being 64-bit.
  15. That was my theory too, but disabling it seems to not affect that behavior ime
  16. Can't wait to tackle these INIs, as they look to contain a treasure trove of tweaks, a number of which we can recycle from the previous Skyrim.
  17. Skyrim Special Edition Default Values for All Valid INI Settings If it's not here, the tweak is most likely bogus, if it follows the same pattern as in previous games. To verify a setting exists, use the getini console command. If it returns "NOT FOUND," it is bogus. (Side note: settings with a u-prefix always returns an "UNKNOWN TYPE" value. This is normal and the setting is still valid.) Also note that there is a SkyrimCustom.ini that functions the same way it has done in previous games (overwrite Skyrim.ini, but not SkyrimPrefs.ini). Plugin INIs have not been tested. I have settled for the same definition of "Default" as I used for the original Skyrim, i.e., the value used when the setting is not explicitly stated in the INI files. Do NOT use these as your INI files. This is for reference only at this point. Update: It appears that the saveini method of retrieving valid INI settings fails for SkyrimPrefs.ini, therefore some bogus settings have been included below until I can remove all the bogus ones! With this development, it is possible that there are SkyrimPrefs.ini settings that exist that simply are not listed here! Update2: I have removed the very few bogus settings I could verify through the console, which happened to only be the NavMesh section, which was also erroneously in the original Skyrim. I believe that this INI file IS complete, but I have no way to verify that for SkyrimPrefs.ini. Skyrim.ini, however, is provided here in its entirety. Skyrim.ini SkyrimPrefs.ini
  18. This is my experience as well. I am playing the game with bPrecipitationOcclusion set to 0 to see if it actually does anything. It certainly does not seem to work, not that I want to disable the effect. I just want to know if I can. Still trying to see if there is any way to enable the built-in rain splashes as well, but so far I have failed to have any luck.
  19. Could you provide me with a location that it disables rain occlusion? A saved game at that location would be good too, so I can make a comparison. Because the rain occlusion setting is supposed to be bPrecipitationOcclusion, and I have been unable to verify whether either do anything. The console returns "NOT FOUND" on the bEnableRainOcclusion setting, but it is possible I suppose that the console could be wrong if it is toggled by some other means, which relies upon that line.
  20. I will have to massively update this for SSE, as it is essentially an entirely different game. No ETA. I have been quite busy lately.
  21. Perhaps, since it only occurs in first person, you should try one of the various mods that make first person a modified form of third person, like perhaps Enhanced Skyrim Camera. IFPSClamp should be set to 0. Does this happen in the vanilla game?
  22. Ok, so I have looked into it, and Windows Defender on Windows 10 for me gives no detection at all, so I honestly don't understand how you could be experiencing trouble with it. Virustotal shows the same thing it always has, only two obscure antiviruses throw a false positive on it. I have sent a false positive report to Baidu, but I can't do anything about Jiangmin, since they are Chinese.
  23. The detection should still work. That's annoying. I will have to add an exception to my development folder if that is the case.
  24. Windows Defender shouldn't. That's what I use, and it doesn't have a problem with it. All the major antiviruses recognize BethINI as harmless, and only one or two antiviruses that I have never heard of throw a generic false positive detection on it.
