pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)
Vulgar1 replied to Smile44's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Cool, I've got another one for you (sorry), RealisticNights+COT+DB+DG.esp is red in Wrye Bash when I go to make a bashed patch. It is showing it can't find CoT, Dragonborn, and Dawnguard masters. I have it loaded after the last CoT weather patch. It doesn't really make sense. Do you think I can just ignore it or do you know why it might be doing that? -

Hey, Smile44, when installing the CoT weather patch, do you use regular or fog edition? EDIT: And when installing realistic nights, what are the Image Space fixes all about and do you recommend them? -
ACCEPTED Enhanced Blood Textures (by dDefinder)
Vulgar1 replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Which INI settings from EBT go in Skyrim.ini and which go in Skyrimprefs.ini EDIT: The ini that comes with EBT has bForceAllDecals=1 under [Display] settings, but everywhere I look threads say it goes under [Decals] in the Skyrim.ini. Which is actually correct? I think there are issues with the INI provided by EBT. I'm getting a major CTD. After checking Papyrus logs I found this over and over: I'm pretty sure this is caused by EBT. I'd get rid of EBT except I'm running STEP Extended and there is an EBT patch within the STEP Extended patch. How can I remove EBT from the STEP Extended patch? -
Has anybody found a way make Caliente's TexBlend work with MO? It could be useful in this endeavor.

I'm interested to know if the above stated with regards to "FixCursorVisibility=true" is an option. Of course it would depend on if the user is running an ENB and that would have to be noted. In the mean time I would like to have it clarified whether or not the src (source) folder is needed when installing with MO and whether or not it should be un-ticked, because I believe it should. Am I right on that? EDIT: I also wonder if the beta version should be used.

After going through step by step and optimizing the vanilla textures, I am missing files in the Vanilla Optimized folder. The guide say there should be the same number of files and folders in each sub folder. Only the 3 DLC folders are missing files. Dawnguard 14,704 changed to 3,112, Dragonborn 26,744 changed to 9,241, Hearthfire 2,328 change to 143. The total number in the Extracted folder is 76,295 (like the guide suggests) The total number of files in the Optimized folder is 45,125. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Please help.

Thanks! EDIT: solved.

pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)
Vulgar1 replied to Smile44's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Hey Smile44 it's pretty awesome your recommended setup is almost identical to the one I use. I use RLO with CoT because I use RealVision ENB. I never tried Morning Fog but I will now. I see you use to use Real Rain but cut it, I was wondering why because I'm thinking of still using it. In regards to CoT Sounds and AOS2 there is a patch available now. Do you recommend using both and the patch, or not using CoT sounds at all? Most importantly I wanted your take on Real Clouds. When it first came out it was buggy, but the new updated version seems to work pretty well. I was considering running it at the bottom of your guide list. What do you think about that? Have you toyed with Real Clouds at all? Would you anticipate any conflicts from the addition? -
Question: In the DDSOPT Quick Guide it says both resolution fields can remain 8192x8192, however in the figures for High Quality and Very High Quality under the DDSOPT Optimization tab all are set to 2048x2048. Should it be 8192 or 2048, or does it even matter as no vanilla textures are more than 2048 anyway?

DROPPED The Skyrim Distance Overhaul (by Grieche)
Vulgar1 replied to MadWizard25's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I don't think this has been unequivocally or distinctly answered but boss is saying SDO needs to be cleaned. Do you guys recommend cleaning it or is it like a false positive? EDIT: I have the same question about Distant DetailHF. -
Was Diverse Priests dropped from 2.2.9 due to the addition of the Clothing and Armor fixes? Is diverse priests redundant now? With the current STEP Extended patch should any esp's for Diverse Priests be hidden under the Data tab?

Hey rootsrat nice thread, I too love music of pretty much all types, a lot of people say that but it is true for me. I am also not very partial to mainstream radio friendly music though there are exceptions most of which started pre '95. The fact that you even know who Swans and Neurosis makes me happy. Here is some original crust, and I don't mean pizza, from one of the greatest albums ever Amebix's (from UK) Monolith: Something totally different the Sigur Ros (from Iceland) album (), it's long but the build up is worth the payoff: TTFN Enjoy!

DROPPED Project Reality - Climates Of Tamriel - Weather - Lighting by JJC71
Vulgar1 replied to EisDrache's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Are you guys considering re-adding CoT to the STEP Guide? Has anyone talked about this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39799/? Which is now working with Real Clouds for the most part, except for sometimes when you are in a cloud and new clouds are forming if you look straight up you can see some edges: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39450/? Anyway I'd like to use RealVision ENB which uses CoT and RLO. So is there a Lighting Section coming to the STEP Guide anytime soon? -

DROPPED BOSS Userlist Manager (by Surazal)
Vulgar1 replied to Bealdwine's question in Other Utilities Support
Did you re-run BOSS after making the rules? Are all the necessary plug-ins and archives ticked in the MO load order panel on the right? What rules are you making? Is there any other info you can give? Have you tried just using the Edit User Rules tab in the BOSS GUI itself? I'm no expert I'm just trying to help until an expert pops in. -

Are you using Mod Organizer, if so are you running BUM through Mod Organizer? -
Ok I tested again. I used CBBE as the base and installed SG over it and I get no seams. It looked flawless from what I can tell. In the CBBE installer I picked cutom body. When installing SG I picked slim. Also when installing CBBE I unchecked the Body Slide and Texblend options as I believe those are outdated. I installed Bodyslide 2 but I haven't tried running it through MO yet. As for Texblend I don't need to use it as I have no seams, but I would like to install it anyway. However I have been unable to install Texblend with MO. I found some somewhat useful info on it through Google in a loverslab post involving repackaging and changing the destination folder in the Config.xml but nothing concrete. What would the destination output folder be? If anyone knows how to install Texblend and run in through MO please post how. In the meantime I'm going to test the 4096 SG files though I don't know how well they'll match Ethereal Elven Overhaul which even with the High res patch is only 2048.

That Consistent Older People patch is how I learned about CRF. There is a COP compatible with both BOYD and CRF. CRF is cool and I'm glad it was implmented because I have some questions about it. What do you guys think of the order for loading and file overwriting in MO. I'm getting this message in MO right now, Move Brawl Bugs Patch - Plugins - Modder Resource after Unofficial Dragonborn PatchMove RaceCompatibility with fixes after Brawl Bugs Patch - Plugins - Modder ResourceMove Cutting Room Floor after RaceCompatibility with fixesMove Alternate Start - Live Another Life after Cutting Room Floor although it may change once I install Enhanced Blood and get rid of Brawl BugsPatch I just haven't made it that far down the list yet.

Redirish, I used CBBE instead of UNP, with SG textures and I had no seams, it looked great and I even used some other mods on top of that (like fair skin mod). But if you start messing with the CBBE body slider tool you can get seams, however those can usually be fixed with the Texblend tool, both are included with CBBE main file. Of course if you go to big or small it won't look right with clothing and armor. I'm going to look at CNHF, but from what I've seen CBBE is the most compatible with other mods. UPN coming in second.

Cool, thanks for the response, I think I just won't use it either.

DROPPED Better Males (by Chris57 and FavoredSoul)
Vulgar1 replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
So, if Better Males is getting implmented, why not get rid of XCE and implement CBBE? There is non nude availability. It also already utilizes some of the same hair, freckles, brow, and eye mods already in STEP. It would be like cutting out the middle man and having an all in one pack. Or there is the even better SG female textures. Thats what I did. My setup is Better Males, CBBE with SG over it, and Ethereal Elven Overhaul and it looks amazing. Just food for thought. -
I onlly use Wrye Bash to make bashed patches, I am currently using Mod Organizer to install mods, so would I use the regular installer or the Wrye Bash friendly installer. Also I notice this mod does take awhile to load or "recover", how valuable or useful is this mod compared to how much it downgrades gameplay in the long run?
