No. Xenius' mods were just hidden a day or two ago. The STEP team hasn't had time to come up with an alternative yet.

I think the tower is awesome. IMO, who cares if there is multiple places to put stuff? If it bothers a person, don't go to the tower. I love that mod...I would be sad to see it go. :-( -

That and the DSR patch are in the main FOMOD installer now. Will need some sorting. -
@Tech I agree 100% on "why must it be one or the other?". I have never understood why there is a conflict between science and organized religion. How could science disprove "God" or vice versa? It is a non sequitur. Science explains how the universe works, nothing more and nothing less. For example, who is to say that evolution wasn't God's tool? However, this hinges on an assumption that the Bible (or whatever religious text you hold dear) is not meant to be taken literally. I have always held the view that such things are more metaphorical in nature than literal. In the ages before literacy was common, you needed interesting stories to be able to make your point -- that way the storyteller could more easily remember it, and the listener could get more out of it. That being said, I am not a Christian or any other denomination. Nor am I an atheist. I consider myself agnostic, but my belief in a higher power (the Earth itself? The universe? Who knows...) has only become stronger with age. Anyway, sorry for the ramble, but that comment about science and religion not necessarily being diametrically opposed really resonated with me, Tech.

Free (or Cheap) Games & Giveaways
Nebulous112 replied to EssArrBee's topic in General Game Discussion
Nice. Also all Saints Row games are on GOG Connect right now, so if you have them on Steam you can get them on GOG for free. And they are all on sale on Steam right now. -
@Mator: Why would the creation of this topic (in the off-topic, general discussion forum) be detrimental to the reputation of STEP? Or, for that matter, detrimental to the modding reputation of Tech? I think you may be more paranoid than Tech is naive. Everyone has their eccentricities. Some more than others. However, this off-topic discussion has absolutely nothing to do with modding and therefore is irrelevant to anyone's modding reputation. Tom Cruise has a ridiculous belief in Scientology. Besides that, from some of his other behaviour (for example, the Oprah couch-jumping incident), I think he may be a bit unstable. However, he is a fantastic movie star. No one questions that. Same with Michael Jackson...his childhood was so screwed up that he couldn't stop dreaming of being a child again himself. But he was a fantastic music artist. Van Gogh was straight-up crazy. Isaac Newton spent the better part of his life researching alchemy, and believed in the paranormal. I could go on and on with further examples. Tech's belief in Ra, etc. is certainly a little out there, but nowhere near any of these examples. Most people who are really good at one or two things hold some sort of odd belief. Yet no one challenges their professional reputation, because it is not relevant.

Merge Plugins non-contiguous mods
Nebulous112 replied to Daijobu_'s question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
I run LOOT, then put all mods I am merging last in the load order, check everything in xEdit to make sure no info will get lost (some merges might need a quick patch at the end which you include in the merge), then open Merge Plugins and merge away. LOOT again, rinse, repeat. -

Skyrim Immersive Creatures - Unofficial Patch updated to v0.2.6. There is now a CCOR version in the optional files that deprecates the CCO-SIC patch from the CCOR page, as well as the SIC-WAFR patch that we use from its own page. With the CCOR version of the SIC Unoffical Patch we no longer need the other two patches. -
SKYRIMLE SRLE extended LOTD. Suggestions for new additions.
Nebulous112 replied to Nozzer66's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I totally agree on Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions. Not only does it allow you to adopt more kids, it allows your spouse and kid to accept modded player homes as "home". This includes the LotD safehouse. Recommended by ICA for LotD. For the other Arthmoor villages, I assume the reason they aren't included is because there are no Farmhouse Chimney patches for them (or Astakos patches for the fast travel mod). Although it would be sweet if they could be integrated seamlessly. -

Question re: profiles and save games
Nebulous112 replied to jbsheridan's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
Basically, the advice applies to every mod that is different. Mod Organizer profiles differ mainly based on what is "checkmarked", a.k.a. "activated" in the left pane. All installed mods are in the list for both profiles, but the priority order and which mods are activated is what differentiates the profiles. (Also plugin load order and other profile options, but that isn't relevant at the moment.) Say you run profiles A and B. In A, you run STEP. In B you run something totally different, like the SR:LE modlist. They have some of the same mods in both profiles. For the mods that are exactly the same, with the same options, same everything...you really only need one copy of the mod installed in the left pane. Just activate it in both profiles, and move the priority order where you want it. But let's say there is a mod named "Armors" that has different options in the FOMOD when you install. In our hypothetical example, let's say it is black armor vs. brown armor. So, what you would do is install the mod a second time with a different name in the other profile. Instead of going with the default name it comes up with "Armors", rename the mod "Armors - brown". Or "Armors - SRLE" or whatever. Basically you are trying to get MO to treat it as a different mod, because it sees you already have a mod installed named "Armors", and it would try to overwrite it otherwise, which would screw up your first profile if you ever went back to it. So, with something like a Bashed Patch or FNIS output, or DynDOLOD output, or anything like that, it is the same principle. Those tools generate output that is specific to your mod list and load order when you run them, and therefore is individual to whatever profile you make it for. Rename these outputs when you make mods out of them from the "Overwrite" folder to something different from how you named them in the other profile. LOOT and xEdit are tools that are run through MO, but do not pertain to left-pane installed mods, so it has nothing to do with this. Obviously run LOOT on every profile. And I have local saves checked on every profile I have. For more info about the specifics of that, you need to read the MO guide, or ask Grant. Pretty sure he wrote the guide. :-P Edit: Ninja'd by 20 mins. Teach me to write long posts on mobile. Lol Faster thumbs, I say! :-P -

Question re: profiles and save games
Nebulous112 replied to jbsheridan's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
Just to expand on what Grant was saying...To actually enable local savegames, it is a checkbox in the profile options. So either when you create the profile check that box, or after you create it, edit the profile and check the box. -
Planescape: Torment - Enhanced Edition
Nebulous112 replied to Nebulous112's topic in General Game Discussion
GOG did send me an email with a 30% discount on a preorder until April 4th (as I already own the original on GOG). I haven't heard anything about discounts for original Planescape owners beyond that, though. Edit: Also note that the GOG version comes with the original as well, for those that don't already own it. -
Planescape: Torment - Enhanced Edition is available tomorrow. GOG link. The original was definitely one of the best games I have ever played. Back when storyline actually meant something... Anyone else excited to re-live this RPG classic?

Also, I made an Inigo-CACO patch with permission from SmartBlueCat and Kryptopyr. Kryptopyr and Teabag offered to host it on the CACO page, so expect to see that up sometime. If it takes a while to get up on the CACO page, you guys could probably host it on the SRLE Extended page or merge it into the CR. Or even link to the Dropbox file I uploaded it to. -

I'm with Razor on this one. Obvious to me and you, Nozzer, but likely not to others. People link to the guide on Reddit and other forums when others ask what mods they should use with LotD. Especially with the image links down for setting up merge plugins, maybe a new little write-up would be worth it. I could do it if no one else has the time / desire. Edit: But obviously it is your guide, so do what you want, lol. Just a suggestion / offer to help. :-)
