Yeah I think the db files are still not part of the main mod. You should grab the file and just see if it overwrites. Here we grow San Pedro cactus for powdered mescaline. Takes like five years to grow them big enough, but if grow a new one every six months then it works out pretty good. I find it funny that you could order the spores right out of high times for shrooms. Maybe I'll move co where all that stuff we legal soon.

Enhanced Distant Terrain conflict
EssArrBee replied to bridgeburner's question in General Skyrim LE Support
If you installed them in separate folders in MO and they are in the order from the STEP guide then leave them there. If you installed them in the same folder and the second overwrote the first in that folder then you can also leave it, but make sure in the order that the mod is put where the STEP Guide has the second mod. Also, these mods install only textures and meshes I believe so no need for an esp, so no need for BOSS. BOSS' only function is to sort plugins and inform about bash tags and plugins that need cleaning. -
https://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrim_v0243.htm Go to that link and click the black arrow that has 'ENBSeries v0.243 for TES Skyrim' next to it. Then you extract the d3d9.dll, enblocal.ini and enboost.exe to your Skyrim folder where the Skyrim.exe is. Then open up the enbseries.ini and change the line: UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false to true, it is under [GLOBAL]. That will turn off any enb graphics features and only use the ENBoost stuff. From there go to the [MEMORY] section and change the parameters in that section based on this link's recommendation: https://www.iparadigm.org/pages/pnenb/ENBoost.html

Enhanced Distant Terrain conflict
EssArrBee replied to bridgeburner's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Oh you mean that Mod Organizer names them the same thing so you need to manually input the names EDT and EDT2 or whatever you are happy with. Yeah, that is pretty common with MO so just keep an eye out when it tries to install mods with the name of one that already exists. I make that mistake sometimes, too. Otherwise if you aren't using MO then you should be having that issue of the same name for mods, since I checked the actual archive's names and they are different. -
There is a yellow warning sing in the middle of Section 2.G. This whole row is blank that line was made for some mod and never added in later.

Enhanced Distant Terrain conflict
EssArrBee replied to bridgeburner's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Section F says Enhanced Distance Terrain 2 and section G says Enhanced Distance Terrain. I'm assuming that they cover different things since they are both by the same author and because the STEP Team spent many hours on the distant objects and LODs for the last guide update. -
The minute physics guys now do minute earth and made a wonderful video about the largest organisms on Earth. Back on topic: I was always bothered by the size of plants and animals and people in skyrim. They were only one size, or people were only two sizes, so at least some mods address this like SkyTest. Vurt also addresses this with all the added vegetation (and dead trees as well) in the diversity plugin, but some smaller plants would probably put it over the top. Wonder if some massive trees would seem out of place in Skyrim, like the stuff in Northern California. Beth will probably save that type of vegetation if they do the home of the Bosmer and make tree cities. Also, vurt the screens you've been posting reminded me of the trees I see in NM when I go up there to areas like Ruidoso. The bark of those trees is a bit more warm brown though. Unless during times of heavy drought, the bark stays quite brown without that greyish look. Maybe it's the lack of pollution and >7000 ft elevation, or all the radiation that penetrated the soil of New Mexico from all the bomb tests. :p You'd probably know more than me.

ACCEPTED Weapon and Armor Fixes (by kryptopyr)
EssArrBee replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Tech just checked in to see what condition his condition is in. Basically he is going to need more time to get his computer situation squared away. So expect it to be a while. -
Any chance of baby trees? Would be nice to some smaller stuff, especially in the aspen trees. They are pretty much all the same size. Fun fact: aspens are actually one plant that grow out of the roots of other aspens. They are some of the largest life forms on the planet.

SKYRIMLE Civil War Overhaul (by Apollodown)
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
On Expert, Master, and Legendary difficulty it is really hard to win the first Whiterun battle as an Imperial. The idea in that was to defend to barricades that go down with 2-3 hits and then prevent everyone from getting to the drawbridge handles. The opposition sends in runners that go straight for the drawbridge, so this is really hard at higher difficulties when your damage is scaled down severely it becomes nearly impossible to win. If you play on Novice it is really hard to lose, almost the opposite of the other difficulties. You just plow through enemies in a couple swings and defeat all the waves of them. One thing is that there are a wide varieties of enemies now. The Stormcloaks have giants and thieves and the Imperials have mages and big dudes in Ebony armor. It makes the battles feel a bit more exciting if you ask me. -
SKYRIMLE Civil War Overhaul (by Apollodown)
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I did this mod with STEP: Core and completed three playthroughs, 2 as legion, 1 as stormcloak. The issues I ran into were that quests wouldn't move forward, so I had to reload and then it would work. I suggest saving often since most bugs you encounter will usually require you to reload a save. Did not play with Requim or Frostfall though. If you mix big time gameplay overhauls with big time quest overhauls, then it is always buyer beware. The engine cannot handle it, and never will be able to handle it. If you make it to say level 30-35 without the game becoming unplayable, then count your blessings. -
"Query Info" Behavior (downloading Nexus metadata)

Confirmed. I could not get info for any mods using Skyrim and FNV installs of MO. -
ACCEPTED Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (by Starac)
EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Utorrent now tries to install crapware on your computer, has adds, and is getting bloated in general. Pretty sad because it was such a perfect piece of software before they decided to monetize it. If can find the older versions, like 2.1, then go for it. The old Opera browser used to handle torrents before they scrapped everything and went to Chromium, another great app lost to shareholders.- 425 replies

The reason that torrents are used is the large size of the mod. It is going to be around 5 parts, I'd guess, if you use a file server and some of those don't let people download that many files in one day. Torrents are really easy, just get something like qbittorent and use a quickstart guide for it.- 425 replies

STEP type guide for Fallout New Vegas
EssArrBee replied to Synixtrix's topic in General Fallout 3 Discussion & Support
I have one posted, but it is in the very beginning of it's development, like v0.1. I was going to be addressing it over the next couple of weeks with some proper testing. Work, holidays, and other projects have gotten in the way. The section with the NMM setup for DarnUI, MCM, OneHUD, and Unified HUD is still not working perfectly, so that would be a part that is use at your own risk. The rest is pretty straight forward, very few gameplay mods, so people can pick their own since FNV requires so many compatibility patches. https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Essarrbee/FalloutNewVegas EDIT: Also, moved to Fallout sub forum. -
No you do not. I'd recommend the bashed patch because of the extra things it can do with the stats merging if you use mods that modify stats like unofficial patches.

Its true that you can never really have enough storage. Whether real life or digital there is never enough places to put all my junk. Reminds me of that George Carlin bit about 'stuff'.
-
Are you using Mod Organizer, because it has local ini files for each profile? You have to open them up in MO and change the files there.

In case Santa was mean to you on the games front, just load up Steam and press play game on Left 4 Dead 2 and it will be free. https://store.steampowered.com/app/550/

V3.0 is out and it is pretty big, well as big as a lantern mod update can be. Important stuff seems to be that Lanterns for Guards, Lanterns for Caravans, and Candle Lanterns of the North must be removed to update.

DROPPED Lanterns for Guards - Wearable Lanterns Add-On (by Chesko)
EssArrBee replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It doesn't have to be SoS, just something that edits the same cells that needs to be patched. -
Can we get an Ars Metallica version or maybe have someone make a patch so that we can't make the ingots for ebony until we unlock Ebony Smithing perk?

EssArrBee replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Might need patching if you are using this mod with something like SoS. -
Added spolier tag for modlist. Anyways, you probably have enough VRAM to forgo the HRDLC Optimizied mod per the STEP instructions. It says for systems with 2GB+ of VRAM to just use the HRDLC that you got from Steam. Hope that helps.

I would say that your mod list is just to big and will never run smoothly no matter what you do. People always say that they can get things working until they add in a couple mods, but that just means that they already had way to many mods installed and just pushed it over the edge. You have mods like CWO, SkyRe, Immersive Patrols, and Immersive Settlements. Add on top of that the little scripts running in the background like ASIS, Swfit Potion, Autosave Manager, SmartCast... and you've got a recipe for disaster. I had the same problem where I set up the game and have excellent stability and then I'd push the envelope and destroy my playthrough. I've realized that you just have to tone down your load order, sacrifice a few mods, choose a few that you want for a playthrough a stick with them. After that playthrough, change it up and go with something else. You will end up being much more happy in the long run.
