DROPPED aMidianBorn Solstheim Landscape (by CaBaL)
EssArrBee replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I agree with this statement. That video is probably 2k colors and 1k uncompressed normals version. We will probably go with 1k colors and 1k compressed normals version for testing. That should be emphasized for people doing screenshots of this mod. I did an hour with vanilla, AMB, and SRTO. I think all three have parts that I like the most. Even the HRDLC had some really good textures in it. The basalt textures in AMB and the dirt cliffs in SRTO were my favorites from those two mods. The other landscapes were pretty much all good. One thing about AMB is the ash with rocks popping out that is really ugly in vanilla. AMB changes that texture completely and is much better style that vanilla. SRTO makes it less ugly, but adheres to the vanilla style. If you add michealrw's ash rocks into the mix, then Solsthiems looks a lot better. We might consider that for testing as well. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41335/? -

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
EssArrBee replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Hey Neo, I was looking through your modlist and noticed that UC's data files are installed after SMIM. Is that by design, because Brumbek improved some of the particle patch files and recommends installing it before SMIM. -

I don't mind that that there are enb screenshots, but I would like a couple with vanilla skyrim. Enb can look so different from one person's system to the next that couple screenshots without would help. -

I wish we could get screenshots of Cabal's mods without ENB on. It is hard to tell what they truly look like because ENBs can differ so much from profile to system. I'd say we compare this to Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn by Frozunswaidon. I live this mod and have been using it for landscapes. It would be good to compare the two. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/42348/? -
Where in the Install Order do I put the Particle Patch?
EssArrBee replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in Post-Processing Support
Does RWT use all the fixes? I thought the SSS fixes were part of particle patch now. -
Deleting the whole record probably isn't a good idea. You don't want to go changing your plugins when you could have multiple profiles.

Use one of the STEP Patches and trade all your patches in for just one patch you load before any bashed patch or Skyproc patch.

Can't find answer anywhere, please help!

You might run into permission problems down the line having the game in your program files folder. It is good practice to create a games folder in c:/ for all your games to go into. -
In the top right corner there is a drop down where it says wiki. Click STEP GUIDE and that will take you to the official STEP Guide. All the mods with green bars to their left are Core and the ones without are Extended. It is all on one page for the sake of convenience. This may changed when 2.3.0 comes out, but that will not be for a while so have fun until them. https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:Guide

Scary Wrye Bash error for a mod.
EssArrBee replied to Noobsayer's question in General Skyrim LE Support
If you have gotten that far into the playthrough STOP messing with the load order. Don't update mods, don't add new ones, don't do anything. Just play until you are ready to stop this playthrough and then update or change everything. Also, no it isn't game breaking, just that Bashed Patch isn't developed fully for Skyrim. -
There are borderless window option in the enblocal.ini. It is located in your Skyrim directory. Look under the Window section and set the two options to true: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENB#tab=Editing_Enblocal_INI

Can I get the working mod list so I can start working on the next version? I know what mods we excepted but not which order they are going in.

Remove it when generate a bashed patch. -
Just repack the vanilla textures after optimizing.

I've always disagrees with extracting ALL of the BSAs. The unofficial patch BSAs for example should not be extracted, that is recommended by the team that makes those patches. There is also a lot talk amongst modders that the engine changed from Oblivion to Skyrim, so the way loose vs archived files are handled no longer favors loose files. Also, the fixes section gets messed up if install loose files do to installation order.

Problem installing Climates of Tamriel
EssArrBee replied to kRUNCHY1736's question in Mod Organizer Support
When you install mods with mo be carful that that the title of the mod is correct. Sometimes mo will take different name for the mod than it is so just be aware of it. -
Batch modifications? Yes, please.

Not sure we need all the INI edits. iPresentInterval is usually set to 1 because Skyrim vsync limits framerate to 60 and anything over will cause issue with the in game physics. I believe driver vsync will just limit it to the monitor refresh rate and if someone is on their spiffy 120Hz monitor, they might have some problems. I'd say leave it at 1 and let the more advanced users worry about driver or ENB vsync. Also, the sunupdate time is .0.1, pretty suer it is supposed to be 0.1

Good to know I'll make note for the Realvision page. Work was crazy busy today with meetings so I still haven't gotten home to do anything I need to do step-wise. Should be leaving in couple hours and I'll take care of everything for the guide.
-
I'll be making one in the next day or two since we are now moving pretty quickly toward 2.2.8. Now that we have accepted Audio Overhaul I can really start moving along with patching. EDIT: The readmes are done too. Just sync up. The wiki page is done as well.

there might be a conflict between ENB and One Tweak, you can safely delete One Tweak and try to see if if the game starts with ENBoost.

I'd put this and StableUgrids in the section with Borderless Window, 2.C. They are plugins that not everyone will want and are more like utilities for those that need them.
