ACCEPTED Audio Overhaul for Skyrim (by David Jegutidse)
EssArrBee replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, I guess I will have to start doing some actual testing myself. Work isn't really busy until the 21st, so I could test out a few mods until them. One of our MTs did the patching for this mod that was released a while back, maybe he will have input on it for us. I'll start on it after I do some more testing of Come Together. -
ACCEPTED Come Together N Out of the Way (by Nausicaa)
EssArrBee replied to Quitch's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It needs to be kinda stress tested to see if messing with the settings to much bring out bugs, but I'll do that tonight. No conflicts except maybe follower mods, but that's for the OP and any packs, not our concern. -
ACCEPTED Come Together N Out of the Way (by Nausicaa)
EssArrBee replied to Quitch's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I vote for this this mod to be used. Move It does merge with WB, but I still constantly have retards in my way. I need to have something that gives me more customization and this is it. I'd rather give up a plugin slot and not have followers standing in doorways. -
ACCEPTED Audio Overhaul for Skyrim (by David Jegutidse)
EssArrBee replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Can I get general consensus from the MTs about this mod. What gets dropped if the Release Coordinators decide to accept it? Are you guys leaning towards recommending it? What in STEP needs patching that you know about? Just trying to get an idea about the upcoming mod list if this is added, so I can get ahead on some things. -
Stumped on Making Merge Patch with Creation Kit
EssArrBee replied to alexbeugelsdijk's question in Other Utilities Support
Maybe you could upload the patch and someone could take a look at it for you. -
Just reading through it, I immediately thought it would be a shame to lose all that info and have to redo it down the line if we ever decided we wanted it back. Much better to simplify the guide and create an advanced section. Now regular part reflects the STEP Guide and Advanced tab is for the 'expert knob twiddlers'. I'm going to do the same with the ENB Guide when I get a chance. Add in a quickstart section with nice pictures for people who just want to jump in and play, then have advanced sections for the 'Skyrim is my meth' types.

Edit: oops wrong thread.

DROPPED Improved Combat Sounds (by judgefredd)
EssArrBee replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
We will address the the conflict with EBT in our own STEP Patches. -
There are two readmes, one that is one the page: Readme.md and the Readme.txt. The Readme.txt is the important one and is updated. I also added a revised version in the 2.2.8 folder. I added the 2.2.8 Core patch in a separate folder for the moment for 2.2.8 as it is listed in the changlog. Also, SoS is not in Core so anything that comes of testing for Audio Overhaul would not matter, that is biggest part of patching for this project, since most mods have now been updated for the USKP2.0 stuff.

@Aiyen: Do you require the helper plugin? I'm going to add this to the guide soon and need to know if it is part of the setup.

ACCEPTED Dragons Shout with Voice (by pauderek)
EssArrBee replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It makes dragons speak the dragon language when they shout. Before they would just breathe fire and ice, but not speak the actual dragon language.- 50 replies

Hot damn, those webs are nice. I did like the other trees you've posting too. Looked like the forests I live near.

Well, I did keep saying WL because it was the main mod, but the one that required the most patching was Candle Lanterns of the North. I just considered them a package deal. Now that Candle Lanterns is defunct the Extended patch does not require WL as a master, so zero energy on that mod. I'm done now with the new patch. Core is unchanged. Extended is updated for the current 2.2.7 guide and even updated for Coin Replacer Redux. I touched up the readme.txt, but haven't got to the readme on the github page, will do in a bit. Removed the WL and WL-SoS patches, since they are defunct. Next I will start a new Extended patch for 2.2.8 since Core should pretty much be the same. Then I will work on creating a compilation to try and further reduce the number of plugins in a STEP load order. If you need something to move 2.2.8 along let me know because I can always push back the patching to right after we lock the mod list for release. https://github.com/EssArrBee/STEP-Patches

I doubt size was problem, since it was cropped screenshots of Nvidia Inspector. It was corrupted somehow, but would still open in MSPaint for some reason, probably since I cropped it with that. I'll just use Paint.net from now on, since adding text is so much easier with that and I need to that for future projects.
-
Yeah, I'm working on it now, but I have to rebuild the Extended patch from scratch. The update to WL and it not being compatible with Chesko's other mods means tons of stuff needs to be removed. Really sucks going through cell by cell. So I tested the Stats tag on the STEP Patch because the Unofficial Patches and WAF have it and they all affect the same records. My hope was that the last mod would be taken into the Bashed Patch, but it did not work out that way and I ended up with incorrect records in some places. I solved this by just loading the STEP patch before the bashed patch and unticking the merge stats in the bashed patch menu. Use all the other Bashed Patch functions like leveled lists, tweaks... and you will end up with all the proper stats in game. I guess should ask one of the WB people why the Stats merging didn't work properly, so I'll get to that when I'm done with the current Extended patch. I will clean up the readme, get rid of the WL patch since it's no longer necessary until candle lanterns are integrated into a future update.
-
The code itself is not really complex and it is actually kinda weird that no one came up with it earlier. Only 200 hundred lines or so.
-
Well, I mentions to add stats tag so records would be used from the patch and not USKP or WAF, but that didn't work with bashed patch. Untick the merge stats in bashed patch and load STEP patch right before the bashed patch. I will update the Readme the WB directions and make it really big "ONLY USE ONE PATCH" because I did put that somewhere. All STEP Patches will pretty much use the Core Patch and grow off of it, that way pack authors can fork off and create a patch for their packs. Yes, Sounds of Skyrim is SoS. The SoS Patch is for patching just SoS with Unofficial Patches. Wearable Lanterns is just patching WL with Unofficial Patches. The other patch is SoS+WL with Unofficial Patches. Only use one. The readme.txt might be better than the pposted readme on the site. I don't think I've messed with that in a minute. Also, the WL patch is for an old version, not 3.0, and I would not distribute it or the SoS-WL patch until I look it over with 3.0. Those were just extras I did and were not meant to be part of the larger project. I had planned to do the updates for that patch tonight. The STEP Core Patch is sound and ready. The STEP Extended Patch needs another look since WL is listed in 2.2.7 and I made the patch before 3.0. Will not take me to long to get new ones made. I'll start on the 2.2.8 version too, probably later tonight, depends how I feel after another Maredsous.

Moved to answers.

Alright the Inspector guide is updated. The Custom Profile and Settings tab reflects the STEP guide settings, and I added an advanced tab for the tweakers. I'll move on the the STEP Patches again after the game is over. Go Niners!

That was my guess to. F**kin' MS software can't be trusted.
-
I was trying to upload a photo called Inspector_AF.png and renamed it to InspectorAF.png to see if it was the underscore. Neither worked. I resaved in MS Paint and tried again and it worked.
-
Yes, the bashed patch is needed for leveled lists and merging mods, but untick stats. You do not want to merge stats or the bashed patch will pick a record from Unofficial patches or WAF instead of merging them and will overwrite the records that are in the STEP patch that combined the changes of USKP and WAF. I could add crime to STEP patch and a timescale, but that is better left up to the user.

2x2, 3x3, or 4x4 Supersampling (D3D) are the ones I was talking about. I'd say 2x2 or 4x4 for the good systems, depending how high quality the recommendation is. The combined methods straight up murdered my performance, but damn if they weren't pretty.
-
Yeah, I just didn't respond again because that looks like DOF and have no clue what else it could be. Walks like duck, talks like a duck... must be DOF.
-
No no, that is just how the screenshot looked. The drop down is actually from the AA - Setting. AA - mode has three options: Application controlled (performance for guide), Enhance application setting (ignore), and Override application settings (quality for guide). For AA - Setting: Probably go with ssaa x2 or x4 if they can handle it.
