SKYRIMLE aMidianborn Imperial Forts (by CaBaL)
EssArrBee replied to lubojart's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Here we go again. This time HRDLC, SRO, and AMB. HRDLC->SRO->AMB for all compares. Fort Haragstad Close up of wall Interior Floor (I'm guessing impfloormuddy01.dds) Interior Floor 2 (impfloorstone01.dds) Interior Wall (impwall01.dds or impwall03.dds) Interior Wall 2 (impwall04.dds) Relief around door (looks like two textures to me, but I'm really tired) Roof of fort (not sure which texture, someone in the know can figure it out) That is a good amount to stat with. Anyone else could theoretically do the same thing, wink wink. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn
EssArrBee replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yes, but we've moved toward MO since it is so powerful. Also, Serious HD is posted in the AMB thread with all the previous screens to compare with. This thread I'm just doing the Architecture folder from SRTO since AMB doesn't cover that, less confusing. -

Okay last one. I promise. These are all the same compares but I added Serious HD to the compare at the end and annotated the rest. Serious doesn't cover every texture. Sorry mobile users. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn
EssArrBee replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It does touch the mushroom, but for the screens I took I couldn't tell a difference, so I just didn't upload them. I did take some more Raven Rock photos and I think that outside of the Redoran stuff, that HRDLC might be best. HRDLC->SRTO 1k->SRTO 2k Bulwark Wall (Almost no difference between 1k and 2k from the docks) Bulwark Tile (on top of the bulwark) Building by the docks Temple (these next few are the redoran textures) From front steps Tile floor on at top of steps The last three that cover the Redoran textures are the only ones that I really like over HRDLC. There are a few places that SRTO looks great in Raven Rock. The stone path and ash textures are really good, best ones yet. It just seems to get a bit away from the vanilla textures though and they can stick out a bit. The bulwark for example is a great texture, but it sticks out to much in Raven Rock. It would hard to take some ash, road and redoran textures from SRTO, the other ash, basalt, and tudra textures from AMB, and the Tel Mithryn stuff from Telvanni Reborn. Users would have to do some manual work deleting some things and installing in the proper order. Not very fun. -

I took screens of them, but they looked exactly the same so I thought the mod skipped that texture. I had to look it up again just to confirm. -

EssArrBee replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
They don't look quite as speckled in game as they do in close up screens. The Raven Rock textures I think are better than the HRDLC, but the Telvanni Reborn are just upscaled and sharpened HRDLC textures, so they look pretty good for the Tel Mithryn stuff. I did kinda like SRTO in game around Tel Mithryn, but some of the textures had seems from the meshes being all messed up. I still need to do a couple more HRDLC and SRTO compares for the bulwark, wood, and interior stuff. I still also have a suspicion that the photorealism that this mod goes for doesn't translate to 1k textures very well. I bet that the 2k stuff would look a lot better and probably pop a bit more without that speckled look. -

Here are some that are only HRDLC and SRTO for Raven Rock: Outdoor Stone Stairs Outdoor Wall (used for temples and those buildings that go into the ground) Outdoor Stone Wall (Used for the two other buildings in Raven Rock) Indoor Stone Wall (inside of the buildings) Okay that will get things rollings so people can look them over. -

EssArrBee replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Okay now were doing HRDLC->Telvanni Reborn->SRTO Architecture: Tel Mithryn Big Root (outside there are two textures for the big mushroom roots) Tel Mithryn Wood Root (same area as last texture, both make up the big mushrooms) Tel Mithryn Door (Door to the buildings there are three) Tel Mithryn Building Top (top of two smaller buildings) Tel Mithryn Interior Wall (I believe this is the same texture as above, but used indoors) Tel Mithryn Interior Wall 2 (There are like 4 different textures that look like this, here is one) Tel Mithryn Indoor Roots (Used in teleporter part) Tel Mithryn Floor Tel Mithryn Stairs (Stairs in couple places leading to the buildings) I know theres a lot but these are most the Tel Mithryn screens. Doing close up shots is kinda weird for some of these and doesn't give the full effect. I might do some backed away for a different angle later on. -

Okay the last set of screens now that I found that spot. Also, a couple ash pictures since I didn't post any yet, silly me, to much booze this weekend. All photos are HRDLC->AMB->SRTO Tundra Type 1 (all around Bloodskal Barrow on the eastern coast) Ash Ripples (Various places that ash exists over southern Solsthiem, may have mixed up AMB and HRDLC :facepalm:Â ) Ash Closeup (just for s**ts and giggles) Okay we have enough screens to make a choice for Core STEP and then I'll look over Serious HD for Extended. The thing about these mods is that SRTO is going for photorealism in a lot of textures and that doesn't come across as well with 1k textures on my laptop screen at 1366x768. It looks a lot better in full 1080 or higher with 2k textures to really get that photorealism across. Just load up the 2k version to see what I mean. Anyways, for 1k textures, the AMB ones seem to blend a bit better over all. Both fit quite nicely into with the rest of STEP Core on Solsthiem with the few Skyrim textures that DB borrows. The quality of both mods is apparent when going from HRDLC to either Cabal's or Frozunswaidon's work and you can't go wrong with either replacer. Maybe when we do a STEP Extreme we can put the 2k versions with their fancy pants uncompressed normal maps to the test. Hopefully, I'll have my main rig operational by then. -

Yeah, I'm thinking Navmesh data is bad in that spot somehow. I'll have to look at the esp, but I'm not adverse to messing with Navmeshes. -

Can you post a picture of the spot or stand near it and open the map and take a screen so we can have a look. I'm testing in Solsthiem anyways so I can head to that spot. -

SKYRIMLE Elegant Circlets 2k by EttienneV Xelus

You could probably install them if the folders are correct. Modders resources usually are and the meshes would be a good replacement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Someone needs to ceck the 1k version to see how they look. The models are a definite improvement but the textures are extended territory since they are stylized a bit. -
Attempt at STEP:Core +
EssArrBee replied to bagman's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
You can use the forum. People always build their own setup based on feedback from the community. Also, your step account is usable in our wiki so you can make personal pages by adding …User:bagman/ to the end is the wiki URL. Also if you are unfimiliar with wiki editing there are some basic cheat sheets just google wiki cheat sheet. The best example of this is skyrim revisited by neovalen. -

EssArrBee replied to DatsiK96's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Hmm… that can be a tricky issue because raven rock was buggy in vanilla. I'd say start by removing SMIM and see if it is a broken mesh. After that someone else would have to jump in since I don't have that problem and haven't heard of it yet. -

Yeah, I'll do the serious ones a little later when I'm done with my next class. The posted screens are just core mods, so I'll get to extended next. Also, Cabal where is that corvo stone? Is that in the English version or am I just slow? -

EssArrBee replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, some of them are like overlays that go on top of the some ground textures when I opened them up in Paint.NET. I could do type 1, but the SRTO version is just another dark andesite variation, where AMB looks like a different rock texture. The type 3 was different than anything else in the landscape folder, and I like all of them, even the HRDLC was okay to look at in game. Actually, I just realized that I didn't take any pure ash screens... man, what was I thinking. The whole island is covered in that stuff. Good thing I don't have anything better to do. -
Well, you need to have the texture mods that you installed before TPC and overwrite with those. The key being that you need to install lower resolution textures to reduce the stutter you have. Because you installed manually there is really no way but overwriting the textures and meshes with lower res versions. Not sure what all is in TPC these days, but if you got a bunch of 2K res mod, then go back and get the 1K versions to start.

EssArrBee replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Thanks for pointing that texture out, Cabal, I would have never seen that. I'd say that the rocks and stone so far look like rhyolite for AMB and andesite for SRTO. Both are accurate volcanic rock types for volcanic areas, so realism-tards will like that. The noise in the rocks would come from that andesite type rock formation. The basalt from AMB looks a lot more like the pictures of Giant's Causeway in N. Ireland. The slow cooling hexagon shape usually is smoother so the stones can fit together and rise up from the surface. Whole bunch more stuff: All are HRDLC->AMB->SRTO Ash Cliff (near craters just east of Telvanni Tower) Ash Tundra type 4 (all around Solsthiem, mostly in front of Telvanni Tower and used for some paths) Ash Tundra type 4 Alternate angle (not on a slope like last shot) Tall Basalt Pillars (for better view than last set) Ash Road Tundra type 3 (used in some places around Solsthiem, mostly western coast area before the snowy regions) That is almost everything from the landscape of Solsthiem, if anyone wants something else just say so from these mods, just say so. -
Maybe after some serious testing, but so far everything looks good.

Got some of the stone stuff to look at. Didn't do a straight vanilla since STEP doesn't touch the Solsthiem textures at all anyways. It is just STEP current 2.2.8. Also will do some with Ash Rocks later if people ask nicely. Basalt Pillars HRDLC->AMB->SRTO Stones & Ash Rocks & Ash (volcanic_ash_rocks_01_d.dds I think) Will do more as my anger level returns to normal after that game. :@ EDIT: Does anyone know where to find volcanic_ash_darkcliff_01.dds? -
Yes benchmark without the mods that require something later down the line. You still install those mods, but make sure that they are unticked in your load order after running BOSS and before you start Skyrim. As you install mods later down the line you can activate them. Also, it is usually okay to install the fixes and interface sections before a benchmark, but it you are collecting data on your system then it is better to go section by section. Also, the patches are really for after you have completed installing all of STEP Core or Extended.

EssArrBee replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yes there are two sets of textures to be tested from SRTO, but the landscape file is the one I was talking about because it is what would be compared to the AMB file. SRTO's architecture would probably be something to compare to Telvanni Reborn not AMB, at least not yet. -

Not moving this one to testing is probably from lack of mod testers at the moment.
