GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
WilliamImm replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
OK, major masterlist update part 1 is done. Added all mods up to Safe ShowRaceMenu and additionally overhauled the tagging on the unofficial patches. They should be much more comprehensive now. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback

Thanks for the notes. I've already got FCO fully into the masterlist (with proper tags), and also added a check that sorts Selective Fire after the initial Project Nevada ESMs if it is installed. Gonna do more soon. Oh, and remove the note about YUP's new ESP not being sorted, it should be in the masterlist. -

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
WilliamImm replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
This one's a quickie, but I may as well share it all the same: Since SRB is looking towards Courier's Stash Integration, I decided to tweak the ESP for it somewhat. The main changes were to use Yuki's shotgun damage fix instead of the one used here, and to copy over some WMX changes. None of the stats were tweaked (I figured they were changed for balance reasons), and I did not revert the items to their vanilla names (the new names seems to reflect the naming standards for New Vegas). Not tested yet, however. This ESP would be used in place of the original mod (since it is just an ESP). EDIT: Also, might not be a bad idea to include this rather excellent jazzisparis mod. This looks to be a really good companion control overhaul mod, and it supports a LOT of companions, Willow included. Not sure about Companion Sandbox mod compatibility, however. Like his other mods, this would have to be installed using the Unified HUD special instructions. EDIT AGAIN: Looking at Lonseome Road True Faction Allegiance, it looks like this overhauls the way Lonesome Road determines your faction allegiance in a critical scene. Normally, LR just relies on faction points - whichever was highest, you were considered to be of that faction. Problem is, it would create situations where you would end up being considered part of a faction you murdered the leader of just because your reputation was higher than the rest. This adds conditions to the faction determination to factor in a) whether you completed important quests for the faction in question and b) didn't decimate them. I'd say this goes right into the slot, right now. -
Speaking of house mods, I just found this Argonian specific one.. Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds awesome for those who'd it fit. Next playthrough, I'm installing this for sure.

While you are at it, might also be a good idea to make aliases for [spoilerbutton] and [sblock], two other commonly used ways to mark spoilers in BBcode.

I was implying that ESM order does matter, as does ESP order. The only difference between the two types are that ESM files are forced lower into the load order. All ESM files load above ESP files. And that's it. Load order matters a lot for ESMs too.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
WilliamImm replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Actually, one of the feedback threads is locked already. I'd prefer this one stays unlocked because some issues and suggestions don't warrent new threads. Let's handle this like how RELz threads are handled on the Bethsoft forums - when a certain number of posts is reached on the feedback thread, lock and start a new one (keeping important info from earlier threads along the way). @SRB, I haven't added Fallout Character Overhaul to the masterlist yet because I have no idea where you want the plugins from that to be, and you didn't provide userlist updating info for it. What place would you recommend they go in the masterlist? -

The new NPC ESP from Yuki's patch is in the masterlist now, and properly tagged to boot. I didn't add the FCO esps yet, because I'm not sure where in the userlist you would place them. I'm gonna do the same for LOOT as well. -

Yes, the changes affected both masterlists. -

Thanks. I even actually removed that misleading message in BOSS itself, so it shouldn't warn you away from the mod for a false reason. -
Stuff like this makes me wish there was a wiki written in Ruby/Rails or some other programming language that doesn't make you want to die every time you mess with it.

Please be more polite to the rest of the community here, Octopuss. While it is true DoubleYou's answer wasn't what you were looking for, it doesn't excuse impolite posting towards him. There are real people behind the name and avatars, treat the users like how you would treat people: respectfully. Frankly, Octopuss, you are becoming a fuss'n'bother to the community here - do not continue your discourteous behavior. Additionally, before asking a question, please make sure you search your question beforehand. Likely, it will either be answered here or on another related site. This includes the one you asked - ESM files are the same as ESP files, but always loaded earlier than ESP files. This means all the same rules for ESP files apply to ESMs. This explanation will help you find your answer. Thread also moved to General Support from the general Skyrim forum (please place support questions in the actual support forums).

I've noticed that Yukichigai still recommends Reload Speed Game Fix for NVSE users, despite BOSS marking it as obsolete. In this case, I feel that Yukichigai is correct because of his recommendation and knowledge, so it might be wise to add it back. I've asked Yuki on his mod page too, just in case. -
SKYRIMLE Epic Gameplay Overhaul by ApolloDown
WilliamImm replied to CJ2311's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Whats better than using Apollodown's great mods? How about using them all at the same time, no frills? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes... yes... yes. -

Yes, I support the FOMM change. I hate even using NMM for installing the UI mods because it crashes every second mod installation or so. It's ridiculous and really does waste my time. -

If we do consider STEP:OtHeRgAmEnAmE, we should also consider STEP:eRAseRmOToRpHAntOM. It's only natural. :kidding: -
SKYRIMLE Respectful Guard Animations (by JeremeW5257)
WilliamImm replied to Ganda's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
After looking at this page, it's not techincally nuditity. But this really is very close to being outright nudity. Ugh, and the fact that nothing else in this mod would be NSFW is just sickening me even further. -
SKYRIMLE Respectful Guard Animations (by JeremeW5257)
WilliamImm replied to Ganda's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I would try my darnedest to look past the screenshots, except that this is unnecessary marking it adult content and NSFW, when otherwise it would just be a harmless salute. I actually filed a report to the Nexus because of the NSFW screenshots over otherwise a non-adult (and otherwise SFW) mod. Seriously, this mod isn't even tagged as an adult mod - I was still able to access the page with adult content turned off. -
DROPPED Daedric Armor and weapon Improvement (by GarryG)
WilliamImm replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Funny thing is, just yesterday, the mod got updated. Yes, really. Looks like he consolidated a few mod files and fixed up the Royal Daedric armor. I don't think it would now fit the STEP mandate, but... wow. That update surprised me. -
SKYRIMLE Glorious Fort Dawnguard by Dahveed
WilliamImm replied to Kuldebar's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nope. Not the least because of how suprisingly buggy it is. The Explorer's Guide authors may be interested in fixing this mod and using it in their guide, through we'd have to actually hear their thoughts. -
Nope, please don't suggest that. Cleanmem and similiar would just be bull honkey for stabilizing Skyrim - stuff like the Skyrim Memory Patch and ENBoost actually changes how Skyrim handles memory, thrus ensuring a more stable game. You really should read this thread before you think about suggesting memory optimizers like Cleanmem.

Oh god... I can never quite get over the whole idea that someone actually thought it would be cool (in a way) to overhaul the game to be about junks. And, the saddest/funniest thing about it all - I'm actually using it as a body replacer for males. The Light version (which is just the body replacer), but still. I think I'll switch to Better Males next game - it isn't as overtly ridicilous. Also, yes, why did that author choose a name that can be easily confused with another really well-known mod? Now, when someone says "SOS", I'd have to spend thought about whether the user means male crotches, sound enhancements, or just needs help.Right... that was a tangent. And a really weird sentince for anyone to say.

Funny thing is, it appears that the reliability of Seagate and WD has switched. I think I was badly burned when a Seagate drive (bought around 2005-ish) ended up failing completely on me. The 320 GB WD drive that I bought cira-2007 when initially building the computer is still going strong after 7 years, through I'm not actually using it because I've yet to transfer the old computer stuff off of it. Now, the 3TB Seagate I'm using as a data drive hasn't failed on me yet - I've used it activly, and I haven't even yet filled it up (still has 2.43 TB free). Guess it can fit my whole Steam library...
