  1. @DY, Would you now recommend this for STEP? It would be nice to get rid the entire INI section and simply replace it with your tool.
  2. Yes, it is generally not recommended to change uGrids anymore.
  3. There's a right way to do this and a wrong way. The only NPCs that should not die are quest givers. The wrong way is simply ticking the Essential box for the NPC in the CK and calling it good. This makes NPCs immortal...forever. This is only done for really essential NPCs and some followers. The right way is to set them as essential until their quests are completed. Set the NPCs up as aliases in their quests and make the alias essential just during the quest. After the quest is complete, the essential status is dropped from the NPC and they can be killed as usual. I haven't looked into this mod to know what it is doing.
  4. I'm using ELEP by JawZ, which uses the games vanilla color code. It's basically vanilla lighting with ELE Interiors. So this shouldn't be the ENB as it shows the same in the vanilla game.... Unless you're saying that Vivid Weathers is suppose to be used with an ENB.
  5. Ran into some funky glow at nighttime with a specific weather. Looks like a combination of rain and fog. The glow is very orange and lights up buildings a bad way during certain times of the night. These shots were mild. Earlier in the night the Bannered Mare looked like a orange saturated out mess. Of course I wasn't able to grab a shot of it. Two feature requests: Turn down the orange glow on the fire bulbs. I don't know if this can specifically be controlled, but the fire bulbs tend to be too orange quite often. That's just my opinion though.A separation of the saturation between exteriors and interiors, if that's possible. What I find works well indoors is often over saturated outdoors. This is vanilla lighting with ELE Interiors. Finally, I leave you with good shot from Whiterun. This is STEP:Extended and ELEP with just a few effects turned on with Vivid Weathers tossed on top:
  6. Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not so here's the link: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:STEP_Community_Citizenship :: It's suppose to be required reading at signup.
  7. It's in our Citizenship Guide to not use text lingo on the forums. Probably has something to do it. Of course, how many users have actually read the thing? Lol
  8. Yeah, I agree. It's just getting a little lazy not typing out two words that is only saving the average typist 1-2 seconds.
  9. I've stated to several people that the concept of the app is actually really good. It's getting people and especially kids up and moving around...I think they call it exercise...wouldn't know. :: However, there are some improvements that can be made to make it more fun and safer. Mainly on the safer front is disabling spawns (or the game) if it detects you are traveling above a certain speed. That will keep players off of it while driving...idiots. I do think it'll be around past the holidays though. I work in management for a national clothing retailer (U.S.) and they will be jumping on board the craze by having Pokemon t-shirts for sell this holiday season. I've also seen some businesses taking advantage of the craze and as a result have increased sales. So it'll be around a while, but will probably fade into the background after the holidays.
  10. SMC - added. No, two letter can't be added unless they are very common. The only place I've seen 'CR' used in over on SRLE so I'm not going to add something that is just really specific to that guide. As for my reasons for not adding two letter acronyms... Candle RetexuresCanis RootCannibalism ReloadedCarbon's RetexturesCasting RegenerationCastle RiverwoodCat ResourcesCatari RaceCategories RedoneCathay-raht RaceChanging Roomschaos ripperCharcani RaceV2Charons RevengeChastener's RewardChimer Race...all names of mods pulled directed from Nexus. Have I made my point yet because that's just through "Ch"? I can keep going. ::
  11. Pretty much sums up my experience with it as well and is why I said it's a fad that will go away in a few months. If they had actually made you battle the pokemon in order to weaken it for it to be captured and allowed you to battle random people on the street, then they they might have had something real that would last. That's not the case though and it's about exactly as described above. Find pokemon, toss a ball, move on. There's no real point to the game besides having some bragging rights that you're holding down a gym for a while.
  12. It's just the latest fad and everyone is talking about. It'll fall to into the background in a few months and you won't hear much about it after that.
  13. To be honest I've never run without archive management, but putting together a test would be simple enough. I'll do so either this evening or tomorrow.
  14. Every asset from any mod is presented in the "virtual" data folder. MO only takes the winning assets from all conflicts, though. If MO's archive management is turned off, the same holds true but the loose files should always win over archived assets. Keep in mind, if archive management is turned off then you must follow the basic rule of archives and plugins must be in the same order. That is the main reason to use archive management. So you don't have to be concerned with archive and plugin order.
  15. Are the loose files higher priority in the left pane (lower than the BSA)?
  16. A different partition isn't really needed. You just need to make sure Steam isn't install under "C:/My Programs or My Programs (x86)". "C:/games" or anything like the sort is fine.
  17. No. Here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
  18. I've not used it in a while so I'll have to wait till I'm home to check. You could post in the spINI topic to see if DoubleYou can point you in the right direction in the meantime. https://forum.step-project.com/index.php?/topic/8987-Skyrim-Project-INI-(spINI)-by-DoubleYou
  19. That one looks better. I still recommend running SpINI. Next thing to look at is ENBoost to make sure it's set up correctly. First, install the DirectX 9 Runtimes from June 2010 (I think). I'm on my phone or I'd just post you a link.
  20. ReservedMemorySizeMb will be custom from system to system. That's why we say to set it as low as possible without issues. [emoji106]
  21. SpINI will work as long as the launcher has been ran once, which it has. Only edit the INIs associated with the MO profile. Don't change any other INI related to Skyrim on your system. These are in the second location you mentioned. SpINI should pick up the MO profile INIs on its own. These can be edited manually within MO via the INI Editor (don't use the configurator).
  22. You need to remove "iPresentInterval = 1" from the SkyrimPrefs.ini to the Skyrim.ini. Actually, you can just run SpINI to make sure your INIs are not causing any issues.
  23. You should have these in your INIs from your MO Profile: iSize H=1080 iSize W=1920 sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760"
