  1. Topics moved. Not STEP specific. Either you have some other software interfering (antivirus, etc.), you have MO installed in the Program Files directory, or it's something oddball.
  2. 1. Run BethINI to set your INIs up properly. BethINI will be replacing the INI section in the next release anyway so getting a jump on that will not hurt. Next look within the Skyrim Enhanced Camera (SEC) mod. There is an INI file that alters some settings dealing with near distances and flickering. Either correct them to the values you desire or disable them. I personally do not like SEC and only run it because one of my personal mods (Archery Gameplay Overhaul) requires it. Else, I wouldn't even have it installed. I don't really agree with it being in STEP either, but majority rules on such things. :: As for the rest, I would simply continue installing and see about adjusting performance later. Drops while looking towards the Morthal swamp are common. It's about the only area in Skyrim that I drop into the 40s.
  3. I think the only thing that needs to be backed up just for safety is the default INIs, but when ran through MO that shouldn't be an issue since MO doesn't use the default INIs. It uses it's own located in: "...\Mod Organizer\profiles\ProfileName\"
  4. The patch is only needed for compiling when running the CK through MO. Else the compiler in the CK will fail. It's not likely needed in any other situations such as this. I kinda see this being absorbed into Mator's tool since that is just local. Would you be okay if he added this into Mator Smash? Though I don't think he's worked on that tool in a long time. Not since he started his website project.
  5. I thought Mystery Modder's stuff wasn't available anymore. No need to discuss what we don't have access to.
  6. Just set up Enderal in a new profile.
  7. Oh, that's a whole different subject. That's basically because they are downsampled images. Take a large image processed at a high resolution and then display it at a smaller resolution. The smaller image will always look better. You can do the same thing in Skyrim if you're video card is beefy enough. The option to do so is in GeForce Experience.
  8. What are you using to capture shots? Some software will not capture the ENB. Try FRAPS.
  9. Please verify your local game cache in Steam: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
  10. It's from one of the sound mods in the Guide. I can't remember the name off the top of my head (on my mobile right now).
  11. Ensure that your antivirus isn't blocking it. Also, if you're using up that much VRAM/RAM it's likely that you're simply pushing everything to their maxes and I would expect issues.
  12. Sorry, I don't have any experience with Steam Link or the Steam hardware. I've seen some consoles for sale here and there. I also know Alienware makes one too. But I've not had the pleasure of testing anything out. I would probably build my own if I ever went that route, but I'm not planning on it. In fact, I'm planning on upgrading my current system a bit this coming Spring.
  13. Many laptop users have to use the Injector version for various reasons. If you can't simply drop in the wrapper version and have it work, then you'll probably need to use the Injector version. Try adding the executables to your antivirus's allow/ignore list and ensure that Steam/Skyrim is not installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)" nor "C:\Program Files".
  14. You can also try running memory blocks log to see if you're reaching your limit for "DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB". Also you shouldn't be using both the SKSE and CrashFixes memory fixes together. Use one or the other, not both.
  15. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENB#Troubleshooting Look under "CTD on game launch"
  16. I use DVI and use VLC as my media player. Changing it to full range did make a positive difference for blu-ray movies.
  17. Laptop, all-in-one, or desktop?
  18. Added
  19. Ensure that you have SKSE set up properly in MO: https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Script_Extender
  20. Did you run SKSE from the drop-drop executable list in MO? (Pick SKSE and click on "Run")
  21. You might have to create the SKSE folder inside the HDT mod and then drag and drop the contents into that newly created folder. Sometimes MO doesn't like to drag and drop entire folders for some reason.
  22. I watched the videos and it looks interesting. The flying reminds me of Freelancer which I loved back in the day any would still play that game today, if it worked on modern hardware.
  23. Is there a reason the H5 header has an underline decoration when none of the other headers have this? Viewing it on this guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:NVIDIA_Inspector#Advanced_Settings ...it seems off. It's drawing more attention to itself than the H4 and H3 headers above it, which shouldn't be the case.
  24. For some reason it does crash from time to time when removing ENBSeries. Usually re-verifying your local cache in Steam will fix it. You don't need to remove 350 and if you're still seeing that you need to refresh your internet cache (hit Ctrl+F5 on the page to refresh it). You should probably set your browser to check for newer pages before displaying a cached version to you. 2Gbs of VRAM is about all you need. If you're going to upgrade, do it for a more powerful card not to get more VRAM.
  25. Not even heard of it. In fact, I got into the Beta for The Elder Scrolls: Legends (card game) and I haven't even had time to install it.
