STEP v2.2.9.2 Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
We don't typically put that bit on all the mod pages because users are expected to know how to manually install mods in MO. If not, this is easily found in the MO Guide which in linked from the STEP Guide. Part of modding is the journey getting there. We'll help you along the way, but don't expect us to spell out all the basic steps. They're called out here and there to show users how to do it and to remind them on how to do it. After the first couple of times, the user should be able to manually install mods without issue. It's a simple enough process that it shouldn't need to be called out but a few times for the user to learn. -
As far as STEP, There will likely be a STEP:SE version eventually, if all is well with the mods converting. Supposedly, it'll be as easy as loading the mod up into the new CK and re-saving it. As you might imagine, the modding community is skeptical of it being that simple. Even if it is, mod that require SKSE will take a while to be converted, if they even are. Those mods will take actual fingers to keyboard work to get them working in the new version of the game. So yes, it's very much a "wait and see" kind of thing right now. However, if things go well, there's very likely to be a STEP:SE version. Whether or not we'll only support the SSE version, is not likely to happen until all the mods in STEP (or 90% or so) have been converted by their authors.
-
The author of SkyUI said he would be okay with someone doing the leg work to covert the mod to the new SSE version when SKSE is available, but that he wouldn't be doing it himself. So someone will likely covert the code for him.

SPO is not compatible with some city overhauls. SPO manually places the panes in the game so sine changes the overhauls make would likely not be compatible. ENBSeries does this dynamically with calculations (is this object behind this object? If so, hide hidden object.) At least that is my understanding of it. These two mods (ENBSeries and SPO) can be used together from what I know.

This is common and actually more standard practice for applications. Unless he's changed it, Tannin has set up MO2 in a similar way for some files.

STEP instaleld by ModOrganizer take no affect on the game
TechAngel85 replied to Spl1ceX's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Did you install all of the Guide and do you have all of the mods checked in the left side pane? -
Mods showing as Dirty after MO Sorts Mods
TechAngel85 replied to Varsooth's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
Red hightlighted mods means there are conflicting files in those mods which are being overwritten. This is normal and nothing to worry about. -
Need assistance with some settings
TechAngel85 replied to thunderclaus's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Ah, right. Is there a reason you're using that program? Were you having stuttering? If so, please post your enblocal.ini. You understand correctly, but I would personally just leave the AA up to the game. If you want better AA, try out SMAA. The Ruffled Feature has been included in the latest STEP Compilation. We forgot to add it to that list on the mod page, but I just did it. It'll show up on it's next refresh cycle. -
Need assistance with some settings
TechAngel85 replied to thunderclaus's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I have ipresentinterval=1 in both my skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini. Delete it from skyrimprefs.ini. I have EnableVSync=true in my enblocal.ini Leave it enabled. I have vertical sync forced on in nvidia inspector. It should be set to "use application setting". I have forced vsync on in b3boverrider. I don't know what this program is. It's not part of STEP. Leave the AA Mode to "Application-controlled / Off". Changing "Setting" may allow a different "method" of AA to be used. The Ruffled Feather is now included in the STEP Compilation, but can be found separately on our Nexus page. -
I'm not familiar with the install process for Real Vision. In fact, I try to avoid it because it's messed up my system in the past and we get similar reports here on the forums from time to time.

SKYRIMLE Holds The City Overhaul (by Galandil)
TechAngel85 replied to fbrafa's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
REGS revival is low on my list right now. You should be able to use it in its current state as long as you install the Lite version of ICAIO. -
Thanks, I'll grab and test them when I can. RL work is in full swing again.
-
That's what I was looking for, just your interpretation. :).
-
My main thing is the flat surface of the platters that have a hammered look to them. Even silver work from the times of castles and horses like Skyrim had fairly smooth surfaces. As best I can tell from from research, the "hammered" silverware was a fad from the Victorian era. I suppose in the end it's a style preference. There's a lot of things in the collection that needs to the compared.
-
I've checked the installer and it works fine on my end.
-
So Gamwich, what's the idea behind the silverware and serving platter? As to their textures and why you when with those look. Especially the rough platter.
-
I like these because they look more real, like rotting skin. The vanilla...I don't know what is going on there. I also like the new breathe effect. I think I can look past the "banding" effect of the diffuse texture from the distance since you really don't notice it too much while fighting these guys. I vote for Core.

Strange Skyrim ground textures on application of ENB
TechAngel85 replied to Ecstatica's question in Post-Processing Support
You'll be turning off the parallax terrain. -
I've updated the mod page to just make it part of the installation. It'll help prevent repeat reports on the forums.

ACCEPTED RUSTIC MONUMENTS and TOMBSTONES (by SparrowPrince and Gamwich)
TechAngel85 replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I like that better. It's lighter and looks more like something open to the elements. -
ACCEPTED Book Covers Skyrim - Lost Library (by DanielCoffey)
TechAngel85 replied to Nebulous112's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
There are other ways to add the books, but scripts are the best way for compatibility. -
SKYRIMLE Organic ENB optimized for ELFX and COT compatible
TechAngel85 replied to krossbonzz's topic in Post Processing
I seen this one the other day. Very nice! -
I know we've been posting a lot in the testing topics, but it's likely still a ways off. This release will likely be a rather large one as there is quite a few things to wrap up before the change to the versioning scheme.

ACCEPTED RUSTIC MONUMENTS and TOMBSTONES (by SparrowPrince and Gamwich)
TechAngel85 replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That it. No one could figure out that the texture is suppose to be. Mud? Dirt? Cement? Unicorn glue? :: If it's mud, then it's way too dark for frozen mud open the the elements. Dash some more snow on there, lighten up the color and it'll look better with the surrounding textures. Granted Windhelm itself is in need of a good makeover.
