  1. I think this has to do with using the windowed mode option in enblocal.ini (which is the same file you use to set up ENBoost). If you are using windowed mode, the in-game brightness settings will not work and you will be forced to use the normal (middle) brightness setting. EDIT: You can get by this by altering your gamma settings for your video card, of course, this will also affect everything else outside the game as well, so you'll have to do a lot of back and forth on that setting when you go from playing Skyrim to not playing Skyrim.
  2. You Hunger does go further, but I think it goes so far, even in the lighter version, that it makes food ridiculously scarce and is thus less believable. Totally destroys the ambiance that food brings to the décor of the game. Places where there should be food had hardly anything - like a jarl's kitchen and so forth. Made the interior scenery drab and boring.
  3. BTW - Relighting Skyrim (RS) light edits are also present in the Core/Extended Patches, it's just that RS isn't needed as a master for either patch. On the other hand, ELE is required as a master for the STEP Patches so it's easy to notice that one being a part of either patch.
  4. What I've been trying to say for I don't know how long...
  5. Maybe in the future if I end up buying some kind of Witcher Trilogy pack.
  6. This is more appropriately posted in this forum section (ENB related): https://forum.step-project.com/forum/57-enb-support/
  7. Ok, good point. I'm going off of memory here because I didn't want to go and reinstall it, re-examine it in TES5Edit compared to the CCO version, etc... just to explain again (I did so previously in a different forum) why the file isn't needed when using CCO and the CCO version.
  8. Really? Why is that - how could he let the performance get worse in later versions?
  9. OK, but also... Nvidia driver settings (or even better Nvidia driver settings set through Nvidia Inspector) will control graphics settings. Your Skyrim application .ini files will also control graphics settings. Thirdly, your ENB-related .ini files will control graphics settings as well (even if you just use enblocal.ini for ENBoost). Some of the settings configurable through these various means WILL conflict with or overwrite each other. The various guides in STEP try to give good advice on what to do.
  10. BTW - "You Hunger" is no longer really needed with iNeed's ability to remove food in certain areas of the game (a feature present in the last couple versions of the mod).
  11. Tech - check on "dirt02lod_n.dds" hide instructions.
  12. If you use Complete Crafting_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp, then you don't even need Weapons & Armor_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp. You might as well disable Weapons & Armor_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp because it's just being overwritten by Complete Crafting_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp and taking up a plugin slot.
  13. Well, in that case it's still in the wrong spot. :) Real Wood Textures-Farmhouses should come after... lol
  14. Also, Re-Defined Dungeons should be under Realistic Water Two.
  15. HD Enhanced Terrain is in the wrong spot alphabetically in the list. It should be below HD Dark Brotherhood.
  16. Skyrim Flora Overhaul - detailed instructions: "textures\landscape\terrain\tamriel\trees\tamrieltreelod.dds" - this doesn't exist. I don't know if this was meant to point out a different file or if it's just a duplicate line (for the same file mentioned in it's proper a few lines below it).
  17. The problem is that the CCOR Leveled List patch is not mentioned in the STEP Guide to install, and so currently people who don't install it, according to the guide, would be missing out on some edits catered towards CCOR. EDIT: I think someone should have a look at the files and compare them, because I did a few times previously.
  18. The detailed instructions for Skyfalls and Skymills still shows : LOD mod compatibility I am using SDO (If installing The Skyrim Distance Overhaul in Extended only!) I don't use these mods (For Core users)
  19. That's possible. I still haven't installed the newest STEP Patch yet (in the process of going over my whole mod list and I just got to the CCO part), so I don't know if the newest STEP Patch covers this.
  20. This never happened in the guide. With CCO installed, the "CCO Compatibility Patch for WAF True Weapons" should also be installed and the "Weapons & Armor_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp" inside "Weapons and Armor Fixes Remade" should be moved to "Optional ESPs" (in other words, not used). I compared the files a while back and the LvlLists esp file patch for CCO was more suited to CCO than the LvLLists esp provided by WAF.
  21. I think you should look over your .ini files to make sure you have the correct settings in them. Maybe you didn't set things right. It's easy to mess those .inis up by accident or by not noticing something that should be set differently.
  22. I think what the issue is, is when dogs are kept as followers/pets they tend to run into a lot of people who make the comment, close by. That's what I gather from it.
  23. EssArrBee - once STEP 2.2.9.1 is out and polished a little (I imagine there might be a little bit of post-release content following the official release), are you going to get back on the F&L Guide again?
  24. Are you sure you installed the new version properly? Remember that if you overwrote your old installation directory with the files from the new version that you will have to make sure you re-configure your enb .ini file(s). If you simply use ENBoost, it will only require modifying enblocal.ini again, but if you use an ENB you may have to remodify more than that.
  25. Installing STEP can take a few days, especially if you go with STEP Extended and also choose to optimize textures, etc. It's not a simple task, but this is extensive modding, and the guides have greatly simplified the process for those willing to go through with it. Without the guides, this level of modding would be even more difficult. EDIT: I should have stated above: STEP, STEP Extended, or Skyrim Revisited (which adds many extra mods as STEP Extended does).
