  1. I'm glad you did this, because it's clear to me that it looks better than the other two. EDIT: Granted, not a WHOLE lot better, but I like the extra roughness/texture of the skin.
  2. The guide hasn't been fully updated recently to the newest versions of all the mods in it, so you're going to want to be careful with your installation of any of the mods with version higher than what's in the guide.
  3. It doesn't really matter, but if you keep them separate make sure you have the retexture load after the original and the retexture files will overwrite the original's.
  4. I agree with you that parts of some of the retextures look like filtered textures, but I've seen plenty of Kajuan's retextures that look like extra details were hand-placed in. Adding in extra features or details to certain areas of a texture can make a big difference sometimes. Regarding the skin, it is a creature, so its skin is not going to be like human skin.
  5. I don't like the blood/flesh version either.
  6. I agree with this.
  7. That was the same thought on my mind and I was about to give WilliamImm the same response earlier, but then thought that maybe his intention was to mark it for testing so that people here could help kryptopyr to make sure that there aren't any bugs with it since she is planning on putting it in WAF (a STEP mod).
  8. I finally got around to playing with this again. I removed Duel this time to test and at least the game didn't CTD, but the FPS still went down to about 7 and behaviors were odd. Even after every spawn was killed, the FPS was pretty abysmal at about 15 fps in that area around the dead corpses. It would go up to normal elsewhere. EDIT: I then tried 50 bandits and the behaviors were normal and the FPS went down to acceptable levels of about 30 FPS. So I decided to re-enable Duel and the worst it got was about 25 FPS. If this is the worst it gets with CWO, then that's fine. I didn't check the papyrus logs though. Honestly, I don't really know what to look for in those logs anyway, even if I did.
  9. If that was the issue, it wasn't user error. It was my error. Sorry for previously neglecting to mention removing the error line under CrossbowForms in the guide. I'm glad it all worked out for you. :) EssArrBee is the one to thank for the guide. I merely made a few small edits to his work.
  10. Yes - 2K textures are worth using on a 1920x1080 monitor, in my opinion. While I haven't compared monitors of the same screen size, with one using 1920x1080 and the other using 2560x1440, my first thought is: how much more is the extra expense? Without knowing what 2560x1440 looks like, I know that on my 24" 16:9 monitor, 1920x1080 looks great and I don't know if I would be willing to spend much more money at this time for a monitor that could display a higher resolution. I know that if the resolution is higher that it will decrease the ability of my graphics card to perform smoothly. I am quite happy with viewing 1920x1080 on this size screen.
  11. Redo the merging for that part in the guide - I just fixed some of the instructions regarding the crossbow mod.
  12. You were correct. I just amended the merging instructions in the guide to reflect the error line that should be removed under CrossbowForms. Thank you for pointing this out.
  13. First of all, when you are creating the merge of the weapons, I'm assuming that you are only merging the 13 intended .esps and not the other 5 DLC .esps also (since you can select those too, undesirably). I just fixed the merging instructions after I redid my own merge of the mods. Thank you for pointing out the 1>6 number issue - the number was off. In addition to this, I did in fact find an error line under CrossbowForms to remove as well. After doing all of this the game loaded fine, so I don't know what is wrong with your setup.
  14. I remember you commenting about that way of fixing it. I don't know how to make that fix, but someone else (LoneWolf, was it?) provided the container removal fix. The guide needed some way to fix the problem I briefly (not extensively) tested it and saw no FPS issues so I provided it to others in the guide. Since the edit involves removing a container that provides a cache of crossbow parts I decided to put this under the "No Cheats" merging instructions. I asked for feedback from others on this change so that I could gauge its effectiveness and modify the instructions if others notice issues.
  15. The ID number won't matter. Perhaps I should have left the ID part out of the instructions and just said "######## - Placed Object - DasContainer". Could you check on one thing for me though - in step 10 of the merging instructions, where it has you remove the error lines that look like this: "[FormID Here] < Error: Could not be resolved >", can you see if there are any of those lines for the crossbow mod? I did not see any when I did my own, and thus I didn't mention doing this for the crossbow mods. Someone else in the forums said they did see an error line though. If I get word from a second person that they saw an error line, then I will re-do my own installation to see for myself and then edit the instructions in the guide. If you left the crossbow mod as is, then you could suffer from severe FPS issues when in Goodsprings. The merge edit is a fix for this, which is a problem common to many people who use the mod.
  16. Make sure all BSAs are ticked in the 'Archives' tab in MO, make sure the "Fallout - Invalidation.BSA" is the top and first BSA.
  17. Thanks for that suggestion, though I intentionally don't take my phone to work and often don't carry it around with me.
  18. There was a mod called "mfgconsole" for skyrim. Maybe there is something similar for FNV?
  19. Also, could this possibly have something to do with "FORES New Idles" mod/patcher not having been run properly? You said your issue has to do with an animation. Just a thought.
  20. Ah yes, you are right. That is different from what I thought. Lately, I've been trying to stay caught up with nearly every forum since I'm a moderator now... Because I have to read so much I tend to glaze over people's post too quickly so that I can respond quickly - especially for questions about topics that are often brought up. I end up often missing important details.
  21. Examine your "Archives" tab in MO (right-side section) and see that all your BSAs are checked.
  22. I haven't tested the mod myself, but from everything I read about it and what it does I agree with Shadriss also.
  23. That mod's already been removed from the guide, but I think I recall the main reason being that EssArrBee felt it wasn't needed due to enough water being available without the mod installed. He wanted to make available an extra plugin slot (the one that bottle that water was taking up). BTW - if we get some more people in support of "Simple Street Lights" and some more support from people who use it currently, I will see about asking EssArrBee if it can be offered it as an alternative to Electro-City in the guide. Currently, I don't think any other mods in the guide have compatibility patches for Electro-City, do they? If they don't, then it should be an easy thing to do.
