The only problem I've been having (more of an annoyance really) is that when you download from Nexus to MO, you must permit it each time in Edge. I know I don't have to use Edge, but for now, I want to use as much of the Windows 10 features as possible. My performance is roughly the same as it was in Win7.

I noticed the trackpad on my laptop is messed up after updating. I use a mouse most the time, but when I'm on the trackpad it's moving the cursor in super speed eventhough I turned the sensitivity all the way down. The funny part about it is that the left to right movement is fine, it's just the up and down that is impossible to use. I've already mis-clicked about 20 different links.  :wallbash:

Try reinstalling your trackpad driver.

I've upgraded successfully to Windows 10. Now to look for the bugs.

I'm going to wait in line to get the normal install instead of fixing it, but I've already created my backups and am ready to go whenever it is...unless you guys report some nasty bugs.

I must be way down the line as far as updating priority is concerned, it's 2nd August already and nothing whatsoever has changed on my system, not even a download of the required files to that GWX folder.

Got one update the other day replacing some system files that had something to due with better compatibility for Windows 10 and the Nvidia driver update for the same thing but that's it.

Worried, no. Amused, yes. They go to all the trouble of installing an intrusive taskbar app that glares at me to upgrade, but it all it tells me now is nothing new. I'm content with Win7 on this laptop but I'd like to see how things pan out so I can choose what to put on the new build without having to do too much messing around.

Well today I forced a Windows 10 upgrade only to find there are no Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller drivers for my 2 TB Data drive. That happens to be the drive I install all none OS software and backups on. The marvell drivers were there, they just don't work with Windows 10. I looked all over and could not find a solution. For my short time with Windows 10, all also got the impression that it is a massive spyware program. If not careful one ends up sending all your information to Microsoft. For now I am sticking with Windows 7 professional.

Aren't you a bit paranoid? Impression means nothing. You probably read too many conspiration theories about Microsoft lately. Do you have any clear evidence the system is spying on you? Also, "all your information" is a bit, to put it bluntly, laughable.

In fairness, I didn't do an Express install and turned off all the things that literary send information to Microsoft. That meant practically turning off all the settings that by default are on. Things that you type, contacts lists, web sites you visit, your microphone, camera, etc. This is the company that was one of the first to comply with the NSA. Yes consider me paranoid. My wife is German and I frequently tell her, after Snowden, I do not understand why anyone outside of the USA would use American software or technology.

I would have done a fresh after the upgrade anyways with all the spyware features turned off. My bigger problem, was the lack of Marvell Sata Drivers. Before upgrading, I did a full backup of my system to my 2 TB Sata drive. All my modding stuff was backed up to the same drive including all my Skyrim tools and mods. In addition I install all programs that are not directly related to the Operating System (OS) on the same drive. Skyrim and OS software go on my SSD Raid 0 drive (The SSD in on an Intel RAID, this works with Windows 10). The marvell 91xx drivers are still there if doing an upgrade, they just do not work for Windows 10. Good luck finding any that do work. That was the deal breaker.
