TechAngel85 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 The following mods are still not removed from the guide: Mystery Modders Shrines HDRealistic MushroomsTelvanni RebornThat's probably because we haven't removed them yet... @JudassemThe author had his account removed and thus his mod went with it.
oqhansoloqo Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 These instructions make no sense: "The Cleaned Dawnguard ESM mod should be placed between Dawnguard and Unofficial Dawnguard Patch in Mod Organizer's left pane." The same can be said for the similar line at the end of the instructions for Hearthfires and Dragonborn. What doesn't make sense is that once you quit out of TES5Edit and save the changes to the .ESM file it changes the file in the data directory. So when you look at the left panel of MO, all you see is the same "Unmanaged: Dawnguard" entry. The instructions make it seem like the "Cleaned Dawnguard ESM" is a separate entry/mod in MO, but it's not. You can't place it between Dawnguard and Unofficial Dawnguard Patch... because it is Dawnguard. Or... am I doing something wrong? Makes no sense to me.
TechAngel85 Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Those look like some lines that should have been deleted but were missed when the mod page was updated for MO's new behavior. You have safely ignore. I'll let DY handle this to be certain.
DoubleYou Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I think Z changed it so there is no need to have them as mod anymore. Just clean it and stick it.
z929669 Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I fixed the links on the mod pages. Any #tab= needs to be changed to # wherever they exist for links to guides that have been converted from HT to TOC. If the links and the "cleaned * ESM" language were what was causing confusion, they are fixed. I had already fixed the mod-page notes concerning cleaned plugins for the DLC ... admin see this post. The issue is that the new MO update places all DLC into an 'unmanaged' plugin, so altering the plugins by cleaning them no longer places them in overwrite (I think ... defer to DY, Tannin, and GDSfan on this and the new instructions) ... we need to make sure to update this in all locations (i.e., possibly the MO guide and elsewhere)
Eagleman Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 aMidianBorn Book of Silence got updated with a Staff of Magnus Hotfix. Is this Hotfix recomended?
GrantSP Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I fixed the links on the mod pages. The cleaned *.esm files are replacing the original *.esm files so there are no files in the overwrite folder and hence there will be nothing extra to place between anything. This line, and similar ones for the other *.esm files, is redundant and needs to be removed. The Unmanaged: Dawnguard mod should be placed between Dawnguard and Unofficial Dawnguard Patch in Mod Organizer's left pane.
z929669 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 This line, and similar ones for the other *.esm files, is redundant and needs to be removed.I think that this still applies though. Note the name of the plugin was changed from "Cleaned ..." to "unmanaged: ...".
GrantSP Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I don't follow, there is no Dawnguard esm other than the Unmanaged:Dawnguard. How can the cleaned one come between itself and the UDP?
n0mad23 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Hello all, I'm so delighted to find STEP, and have been busy downloading mods in anticipation of getting my new gaming laptop after recieving Skyrim from my youngest daughter for Christmas. I thought I should point out that "Realistic Mushrooms" in Landscape and Environment no longer exists. If I'm understanding things here, it's been incorporated into "Skyrim HD - 2k Textures" now. Cheers
phazer11 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 No the mod author got all of their mods deleted off the nexus. We're trying to find replacements for several of the mods in the guide. We've left them in there in hopes that the mods will be restored at some point.
hishutup Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 The serious HD guy was planning on touching the DLC texture but is slow in getting the main park done because of various reasons.
EssArrBee Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 There were textures in Serious HD that covered Solstiehm. I remember some of them being really nice when I tested all that stuff.
TechAngel85 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I have a list of these mods and will probably be removing those mods from the Guide soon. I will post in the 2.3.0 Dev thread asking for suggested replacements. Suggestions will need to have their own threads in the Mods forum. If anyone suggests a mod, be willing to add a thread for it so the whole testing process can be done properly.
